Gabriel bore worry in his eyes as he listened in silence to Selena breathing on the other end of the call.

“Hubby, are you okay?” Selena asked after she had waited for about five minutes and didn't hear a word from Gabriel's end.

There was silence again, and that made Selena extremely nervous. She headed over to the bed and sat down at the edge of it to help calm her nerves.

“Don’t go to work.” Gabriel finally said after he had pulled himself out of the state of shock.

The last thing he wanted was for Selena to get caught up in the mess that was about to take place at the Adler company.

“What?” Selena asked while striving her best not to sound annoyed.

“It's not my intention to tell you what to do. But I am just worried about how you acted earlier this morning and I want you to relax at home and not stress about anything. You can go to work tomorrow, and I wouldn't stop you. Just no
