Chapter 13 Violet's pov 

Mabel and I returned to the kitchen and the Alpha was no longer at the table which relaxed me greatly. I chose a large roast and began seasoning it in the pan.

"We can make potatoes, gravy, vegetables, and a salad," I told her. I added that we could wait on the other items until later in the day.

"I believe the Alpha wishes to show us around his pack lands but will wait until your heat has passed," Mabel said happily. I cocked my brow at her.

"Aren't you already familiar with the pack since you used to work here?" I asked curiously and she nodded.

"Yes but the Alpha feels that you would feel more comfortable with me in attendance." I nodded in agreement. I was still unsure of the ruthless man, mate or not.

After getting everything prepped Mabel and I both went into the living room to see the Alpha carrying armfuls of women's clothing down the stairs and putting them into the bed of his truck. The sickly smell of perfume wafted by each time he climbed and descended the stairs.
