Chapter Thirty

Alex's POV

I was restless, I tried calling Oliver's phone but it was switched off. "Have you been able to call him?" My mom asked.

I shook my head sitting down on the sofa. "His line is switched off." 

"Why would you guys be so dumb to the extent of trying to rescue a stupid lady who can't defend herself." She said.

"Don't call her a stupid lady." I replied sharply with a frown.

My phone rang and the caller ID showed that it was James calling, I hurriedly picked it up. 

"Where's Lisa?" He asked.

"I should be asking you that question." 

He chuckled over the phone. "You have Lisa, why don't you give her back to me?" 

I scoffed. "She's my future wife and I won't let you hurt her again.

He chuckled again. "The cops can't investigate me because they won't find all the evidence." He reminded.

"I'll look for evidence."

"I don't play dirty games, I know what I want and I always get it. I'm a skilled criminal."
