Now that Aaron’s human side is back in control he looks tired and defeated. Not a good look on him, seeing him like that hurts something inside me. I want to reach and give him a comforting hug. Want to caress his face and run my fingers through his blonde mane. He is frowning and rubbing his forehead as I pour him some water.

I move toward him and place the water in front of him. he looks at me with a blank stare as I take the chair opposite him.

“Can you tell me what exactly happened?”

“You met the Murray Boy,” he reveals in an accusing tone like I committed a murder instead.
