Acceptance: Love Birds

“It’s so beautiful.” Kate gaped at the beauty of the lake. It was the place Ryan told to show her as a surprise.

“I told you, you’ll like it,” Ryan said, placing his hands in his suit pants.

“I loved it,” Kate uttered, moving her hand to the water.

“It’s so cold.” She shivered.

“Let me warm you.” Ryan’s voice was soft as he went to her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

Kate smiled, feeling the gust of air on her face.

“Anna,”

“Hmm,” she spoke, leaning on him.

“Let’s get married. I want you in my life as soon as possible. I’ll talk to my parents, and they’ll come here on the first flight tomorrow and ask your father for your hand. I can’t wait.” He tightened his grip around her waist and buried his face in her neck.

“Let me talk to my father first. He may object to our marriage.”

Hearing her, Ryan stiffened in his place. Kate sensed it, so she placed her hands on his and spoke.
