GUSTAV'S POV

I've been agitated for the past twelve hours. This Kristoff wolf would be here today to take Cassie to Jim's pack, but the Crimson Flame Pack was almost twenty-four hours away. I hated this.

“I need to go out on a run!” I told Mitch.

“OK, but we have to talk to Kitty first.”

“No. I want to go now!” I roared to let him know I was serious.

“Jeeze. OK. Let's leave out the back so no one sees us then,” Mitch gave in.

In a quick move, he ran out of the packhouse and transformed into me. I saw the tail of a light-brown wolf disappearing into the woods. I knew exactly who it was, and I needed to have a little chat with him. I ran against the forces of the wind. My fur blew in the cool breeze. I could smell that the rain was near. My snout felt cold against the breeze as I zoomed towards Toby. He was fast, but I was still faster. In two minutes, I caught up to him.
