Scarlett visited again and this time Gerald was in a much better shape, although Serena hadn't yet returned. That, more than anything made her happy. It means her plan today would go without a hitch. She saw him in his office, working but he looked gloomy as ever. Only for a little while, she thought to herself.
" I told you not see me anymore." Gerald muttered the moment she walked in. " Well, I can't help it. I'm worried about you." She muttered, going ahead to seat anyway. " She hasn't returned as she?" Scarlett awoke from her slumber, groaning as she stirred. She blinked her eyes open, the blurriness fading away. Her lips twitched but didn't quite form a smile as she remembered the night before. Sure, she had gotten what she wanted but it was at the expense of her dignity. She just hopes it will all be worth it. It had to be. Gerald walked deeper into the room, feeling unnaturally tense for no reason. It didn't sit right with him to be seeing his mom this way. " So you finally come to see me after days of staying away?" Serena arrived at the Wilson's residence with her heart in her throat. After making sure Sarah was asleep, she had gotten dressed and had taken a carriage here.
