Chapter 30

" What did you say?" Gerald asked, His low voice cutting through the silence of the room. John took a deep breath and continued with his explanation. He told Gerald that the cigarette had a toxic poison which once ingested, leads to chronic coughing and eventually, death. Gerald listened to his explanation, growing more confused.

" So, you're telling me, Thomas didn't die of natural causes but someone tried to kill him?" He asked and john nodded. Burrowing his brows, he thought about it for a while. A lot of things didn't make sense to him. Why would someone want to kill Thomas and why? Who was it? He really needs to pay that police station another visit.

" Okay, I've heard you. You're dismissed." Gerald muttered with a wave of his hand. John bowed and left. Straightening on seat, he palmed his throbbing head. A lot of things didn't make sense to him, unfortunately he wasn't in the mood to think about anything. Tomorrow was another day.<
