Chapter 8 Appearance

I've noticed one thing Lorenzo may not like me cause of my identity but one thing I've figured out about him is that he's an intentional man, I was worrying sick all night how to carry my baby to the meeting tomorrow I do not want people to gossip about Lorenzo even though he does not see it as anything cause he already told his family that he owns the baby but I do not want to be the reason why anything will happen to his reputation, given the kind of man he is and the kind of family he comes from.

I could not ask him about it yesterday because I do not want him to think that I I'm using my baby as an excuse so I bottled up the thought but surprisingly I finished getting ready with my baby this morning and came downstairs, only to see Lorenzo's godmother downstairs,

“Wow, you look so gorgeous my dear”

“Thanks mam, when did you arrive?”

“It's not been long” 

“Ohh okay” 

“Let me have the baby, I'm actually here because of the baby” She said happily extended her arms, I could see the happiness on her face, and I know my baby is safe with someone like her

“You said you're here because of the baby?” I asked placing my child in her arms, 

“Yes my dear, Lorenzo called me yesterday to come over today, he said I should help take care of the baby cause the both of you will be attending a meeting today” 

“Ohh” I smiled secretly knowing that he's a good man even though he acts cold all the time, 

“So where's he?”

“You mean Lorenzo?”

“Hmm”

“He left very early, didn't he tell you?” 

“No he didn't, I thought we were supposed to leave together?”

“Of course not, the Apollio's are one of the law makers of this country, don't you know how influential your fiance is, he's there already but someone is coming to get you, he should be on his way right now” 

“Ohh okay” I smiled at her, even though I felt kind of bad cause Lorenzo was supposed to tell me that I won't be going with him, I mean I thought I should at least know that. 

I walked to one of the couch and sat down 

“Your baby is so cute, he looked so much like you” 

“Thank you, and you don't have to worry cause he's a very behaved boy, so he won't give me you any trouble” 

“Of course he won't look how peaceful he looks” She smiled,

“I'm glad you like him”

“Come on dear, he's Lorenzo's baby of course I should adore him” 

I smile nervously, if only she knows, I bite my lower lips staring into space, why do I feel like I don't belong here back then at the Louise mansion I felt in place maybe cause Williams and I dated for a long time, and we built everything from scratch but here, I feel like a parasite, I feel like they can get rid of me whenever they want to, if Williams and his family could easily threw me out then this family do not even need to break a sweat to do that, and that's why I'm trying my best to stay in my lane just like Lorenzo warned me, I'm nobody I should always keep that in mind.

Few minutes later a guy walked in, I was guessing he's the same age as Lorenzo cause they almost have the same style, but with this person, you can tell he's different from Lorenzo cause he's all smiley and warm

“Mrs Mayra” He walked up to Lorenzo’s godmother giving her a side hug, 

“Come on Rudolfo it's already late, why are you arriving just now?”

“I'm sorry Mrs Mayra it's your lovely godson we have a lot to do and he wouldn't let me leave” 

“It's alright, you guys should leave now”

“My dear?” She called and I stood up, and that's when Rudolfo and I made eye contact 

“You're Sarah?” He asked walking up to me,

“Hmm” I nodded 

“I'm Rudolfo nice meeting” 

“Thanks” 

“Is that your baby?” He pointed at my son

“Hmmm”

“Wow, can I carry him?”

“Sure” I smiled, I watched as he walked up to Mrs Mayra and carried my son, 

“Damn this baby is so cute” He praised admiring my baby 

“Thank you” 

“Of course the mother is beautiful what else do you expect, you guys are running late already give him to me” Mrs Mayra carried my baby,

I waved at my son as we finally left the mansion, we came outside, got into the car, and Rudolfo drove off. 

“You look beautiful” He said to me while driving, 

“Thank you” 

“I'm sorry for coming late’’

“It's cool, I wasn't in a hurry” I gave him a warm smile, 

Forty five minutes later we arrive at the Government house in California, it was my first time coming to a place like this and attending such an event, in the past Williams attend every event with either his mum or his sister Vivian, but now that I'm here I suddenly don't know how to act everyone here is either a millionaire or a billionaire, knowing I don't fall into any of that category, I suddenly don't know how to act.

“Are you okay?” Rudolfo asked me as we both came down from the car 

“Hmmm” 

“It's cool to be nervous but you don't have to be cause I'm here, and Lorenzo will soon be with you. With him by your side I don't think there's anything to be nervous about, okay?”

“Hmm, thanks” 

“Let's go in” He smiled and we both made our way into the place, as we stepped in, the caliber of people in there both the ones I see on television got me having goosebumps, 

“Wait here, let me get Lorenzo” Rudolfo said to me, 

“Oh okay” I nodded even though I was super nervous, he left and I was now standing alone, 

I watched as everyone greet each other cause they were all still standing, I guess the seats will be assigned accordingly so right everyone is still standing greeting each other, these are all people of influence, 

“Look who we have here?” I heard a familiar voice, 

“Sarah?” Vivian, walked up to me followed by William holding hand with Ivy, I sighted the engagement rings on both of their fingers

“What are you doing here? Could it be you're one of the cleaners” Vivian mocked

“Come on bestie look at her dressing, that's not the dressing of a cleaner” Ivy said to her, 

“Oops could it be, she's here to look for another person's husband to sleep with” 

“That could work” Ivy said with a smile, Williams did not say anything instead his eyes were on me, 

“Baby what do you think?” Ivy asked looking at Williams

“Uh, ehm, uhhh” He stuttered

“I'm here to meet Lorenzo, I guess you don't know who he is, very soon the country's most wanted and richest bachelor would be mine…” Vivian bragged, 

“My love” I heard Lorenzo’s voice, and before I could turn, he wrapped his arm around my waist and kissed my cheek, shocking the hell out of me, 

“I'm sorry I'm late, I was attending to some people inside, 

“Isn't that Lorenzo?” Ivy asked Vivian covering her mouth in shock, none of them could utter any word at this point, Williams couldn't stop looking at us, Lorenzo's arms were still around my waist till we got to the stage.

“Everyone here comes center of attention for today, the country's most wanted bachelor, the successful heir of Apollio's chains of Empire, and our hot General, Lorenzo Apollio's……!” The MC announced 

Everyone began to clap and look up at the stage, 

“Guys you all might not know this but Lorenzo is finally here with his fiance, so everyone welcome the Apollio's…..!” The MC went on to announce 

Everyone looked up to the stage waiting to see who Lorenzo would appear with, 

“Are you ready?” He whispered beside me, I blinked in assurance and he gently held my hand as we made our way up to the stage, everywhere was filled with camera's, 

“Nowbevery lady in America would be stunned cause Lorenzo is finally taken, wow I can't believe our General finally decided to settle down”

As we made our way up to the stage, all eyes were on us but most especially, Williams did not blink throughout the whole time, the shock on Vivian and Ivy’s face was epic, 

Right now if looks could kill, Vivian would have killed me, 

Lorenzo took the mic to speak, 

“Nice to meet everyone, meet my soon to be wife Sarah Apollio, I'm sorry this is coming late, I just want everyone to know we already had a beautiful son” 

Screams erupted from the crowd immediately but most of I'm shocked, 

Did he just admit that he's my son's father in front of the public?
