“But it could be a mistake,” I muttered, still in denial. “I can only use dark magic, no other spell worked for me, why is that?”

She leaned on the edge of the table, eyes narrowing thoughtfully. “You’ll need to ask your parents for that,” she said simply.

I froze. “Parents? I… I never met them.”

Her lips pressed into a thin line, and she shook her head slowly. “Well, that complicates things. Then… who taught me how to cast spells?”

I shrugged. “I didn’t learn from anyone. I just… knew.”

She arched a brow, her gaze sharp. “Who gave you a spell book? Did you happen to find that also”

She exhaled, leaning back and crossing her arms. “That’s… hard to believe, even for someone with your kind of power.”
