"The council members really don't think you're responsible enough to take over the pack." My dad, the Alpha said to me. My head snapped up so fast, I almost felt dizzy.

"What do you mean, dad?" I frowned at his insinuations.

We were sitting in front of the meeting room, waiting for the council members to call us in. I was panicking as I didn't know what to do.

"They called your mother and I to a meeting and let us know that they might pass the position out to someone else. Which mean they don't think you're suitable enough for the position." His voice was stern.

I looked at my mother, confused, but the look in her eyes showed that she was still very angry and didn't want to speak to me. I felt really helpless. I placed my hand on my chest trying to calm the pain, but it was to no avail. The only thing I could do was to ignore it.
