CHAPTER 29

DAMON AND BROOKE

Damon knocked on Brooke's door. He had been spending so much time working on his case, as well as getting settled back into the family home, that he felt like he wasn't spending enough time with his family. After all, he said that he wanted to get to know them again and it didn't really seem like he was doing that. He was just going to have to try harder. When she didn't answer, he just walked in. She stared at herself in the mirror. She wore a jean skirt that looked two sizes too small with a tight black laced, thin strapped tank top, along with knee-high boots. He stared. What the hell was this? Where is she going? He wondered what his younger siblings did when his mother was out at night, working hard. It looked as if he had just gotten his answer.

"What are your plans for the night?" He asked his little sister

"I'm going out with some friends," she answered. Damon waited for her to turn around and look at him while she spoke, but she didn't. He was going to yell
