I thought rich people change clothes or are it another suit that looks entirely like the one he wore that day? I shook my head from the thoughts before looking at his face. I almost gasped because he was staring at me.
He was doing it again, why does he keep staring? Or is it because of the dress? Do I look extra attractive today? A smile was starting to form within me with the thought that he might be getting attracted already but the thought or the invisible happiness I was feeling didn't last too long with what he did next.
"Who's the head of the dressings and make-up team?" He asked with his straight face as usual.
A woman steps forward and next...
"You're fired!"
What!??
Even the woman looked shocked as I did. What did she do? I'm sure that was the same thought in the woman's mind.
He then stood up with his hands in his pocket before looking at another maid. "Step forward," he said and she slowly stepped forward.
Is he a devil or something? I can see the maid shaking like she was being electrocuted in secret.
"From now on you're the new head of the dressing department. Take her and dress her properly" with that instruction he left.
I was shocked and stupefied. I've dressed already, aren't I? So what is he saying? What does he mean by I'm not dressed properly? Is he insulting me or saying I'm not pretty enough to go out with him?
The maid he gave the instructions to slowly told me to follow her. I had no choice but to do so even though I feel bad for the woman that just got fired earlier for no reason.
When we got to the dressing room. I faced the maid immediately and asked her what was on my mind. "Aren't I pretty enough in this gown?"
The maid smiled at me. "You are pretty dear but it's not just enough for master Xander. He wants you to look as expensive as him but you don't have to worry, that's why I'm here".
The only thing I grabbed was "as expensive as him". As expensive as him? What does that even mean?
"Miss please over here," the maid said kindly and now I get why they are all being polite, they are scared of losing their job because that sexy devil won't waste a second to fire him even for the slightest mistake they make, whether knowingly or unknowingly.
I followed the maids and they made me wash up all my make-up and even bathed again then they took off my dress and wanted to throw it away but I stopped them on time.
"It's okay if Mr. Xander doesn't like the dress but I'm not throwing it away" I shook my head, disagreeing with their decision.
"Please be advised that if the young master catches you in this dress next time then we will all lose our job" they pleaded.
"Don't worry, we won't because I won't ever wear this dress for him anymore" I said with pure anger.
A few minutes later, I couldn't believe my reflection. I was dressed in a red tight knee-length gown and it is not that I know I'm blessed with curves, ass, and boobs, my hair was let loose into a beach wave and the makeup on my face is wow.
Speaking of expensive, I think I now look like that.
"Master Xander is waiting for you ma'am" a servant Information and I nodded before leaving the dressing room.
The servants escorted me to the garage where I saw the sexy devil, looking sexy as always. He is leaning against his car and looking at the wristwatch in his hands and I think my footsteps made him recognize my presence because he slowly looked up at me.
I was standing in front of him unsure of what to do. He kept looking at my clothes and my body before looking at my face which was making me nervous.
"You look good" was the next sentence that escaped his mouth and it shocked the daylight outta me.
Did he just compliment me?
I was still staring blindfolded at him and didn't know when he entered the car until he whined the back glass down and brought his head down to my level.
"Will you get in or do you expect me to come to carry you?" His question brought me back to earth, I shook my head and immediately ran to the other side of the car but couldn't open it.
I looked embarrassed when I saw him watching me, he mumbled some words to himself before opening the door for me.
I quickly stepped in and told him a little thank you but he never bothered to reply, he just leaned his head at the back of his chair and closed his eyes.
I was sitting beside him but I made sure to keep some good space between us. My Gawd I'm so scared of him, even the aura he carried in his car is choking.
My question here is, how is his driver driving him comfortably without having an accident?
"We are here sir!"
Huh? I raised my head to take a slow look at Xander before looking around, I noticed the car stopped in front of a good-looking mansion that was indeed bigger than Xander's owner.
Where are we exactly??
"Come down," Xander said to me and I began moving quickly, I was trying to take off the seatbelt but I couldn't.
Seriously what is wrong with me today?
The darkness of a huge shadow came to block my view and before I knew it, Xander was already helping me take off the seat belt, he also opened the door.
This time around I didn't say a thank you to him because I know he won't reply.
"Take the gifts and follow us" I heard him instruct the chauffeur.
A lot of thoughts were going on in my mind right now. What gifts? Or are we going to see that other woman on the statue? Are we going to see his mother?
While thinking, I felt an arm wrapped around my waist and a gasp escaped my lips. I turned around to see Xander, I looked at him with my eyes searching for an explanation but he didn't seem to mind.
"Smile" was the next order from him.
Smile??
"Smile" he repeated with a frown and I smiled.
I'm not sure what I'm smiling about but that frown is something I don't wanna see ever again, I don't wanna die young.
Then we began moving, the chauffeur is holding nylon and following us from behind. When we got to the golden door that looks like the main door, the guard present immediately bowed and greeted him before opening the door for him.
When Xander and I stepped in, a gasp almost tore off my lips again. It was like the house was made up of gold again, I couldn't stop looking everywhere.
"Alexander" I whipped my head toward the direction of where I heard his name. It was an old man who had a smile on his face.
Not just that old man, there were other people like two women and a middle-aged man along with some young girls and boys.
Maybe they are Xander's family but none of the women looked like the statue I saw at his compound.
Xander began dragging me to the dining where they were all sitting and when he got there, he bowed briefly to the old man.
"Grandpa," he said softly.
I was unsure of what to do but I followed him and bowed too.
"She's my girlfriend" he finally introduced me by hugging my waist and pulling me closer to him again.
Since this old man is his grandpa, I'm sure the people sitting in the dining area were his family members because they were looking at me and murmuring some things about me.
"Another one? When will they break up?" The youngest girl there whispered and the other girl sitting next to her tapped her.
"Don't worry dear cousin, if you break up with this one then give me her number, and I'd surely continue from where you stopped" A guy that looked young added and the girl that spoke up earlier laughed along with him.
A glare from the two middle-aged women was enough to stop them.
"Don't mind your cousin, my dear grandson, take a seat so you can introduce her clearly to us" the old man said.
"Thank you Grandpa" Xander replied and took my hands in his smooth yet rough palms before pulling me to sit beside him in the dining.
I sat beside Xander and forced a smile on my face immediately, the woman opposite me took my hands with a smile then frowned but covered it up with a smile immediately.
I didn't know why she did that but I saw her.
"So my dear, tell us your name?" She said with an fake smile.
"Marianne Jerkins," I replied.
