SELIORA POV

I was able to figure it all out while sitting in the cell.

It had all started to make sense.

Kaelion’s pack was big and filled with pack soldiers at every corner but somehow the men who ravaged the pack were able to get inside the house.

Someone who knew the insides of the house had to be behind it.

Kaelion didn’t seem to believe all I had just said with the look on his face or maybe he did but was just finding it out to deal with all the information.

“I am sorry about your loss,” I stated, as he handed the drawing back to me.

“If you are right about all of this, we have to act fast,” He uttered to my surprise.

I had assumed he was never going to believe all I had just said.

“Yes,” I exclaimed, nodding my head.

I was finally on the verge of finding out exactly what happened. If Kaelion could manage to catch whoever it was who killed Lexi, all we needed to do was ask questions.

“You go back into your room right now. The pack members find it hard to believe you didn’t kill Lexi since you were last seen with her,” Kaelion said, closing the gate to the cell.

I nodded my head in agreement and made way towards the entrance of the pack cell.

“Seliora,” He called out to me just before I could walk out.

“You found out what I have not been able to in months. Good job,” He muttered.

I found it hard to believe he had just said that to me.

“Yeah,” I muttered, hurrying out of the pack cell.

I made my way back into the pack house through the back door so other not to further upset the pack members.

After getting in, I went straight into my room. I stared at the drawing repeatedly trying to think of what to do.

The man could be anyone. The only thing that could help me narrow down the search was if I could find his pack or something which would all make it easier.

“The sign,” I muttered, recalling that Lexi had told me about the tattoo he had on the back of his neck.

I instantly checked the drawing again and noticed she had included it.

“I have to tell Kaelion about this,” I said to myself.

This was the first time I had been this excited since Kaekion brought me into the Obsidian Fang pack. A part of me could not help but feel sad for Lexi especially since she was killed because she tried to help me.

Taking a deep breath, I rushed out of the house and made my way towards Kaelion's office but ran into him right in front of his office with Claire.

“I need to talk to you,” I stated.

“You seriously do not believe she didn’t kill Lexi,” Claire said, glaring at me. “She should not be here, Kaelion, the pack members won’t take this.”

“Go in,” Kaelion declared, looking at me.

I could hear Claire asking whether he knew what he was doing while I made my way into the office.

Looking around, I recalled how I had earlier searched through Kaelion’s office but soon got distracted by the door of the office door swinging open.

“You were supposed to stay in your room, I have burial arrangements to make,” He said.

“There’s a symbol on one of the men who attacked your pack according to Lexi. If I could find out what it means, it will get me closer to finding what you need me to,” I explained, showing the symbol to him.

“I will get Jackson to find out what he means,” He simply muttered.

“No,” I stated.

I had no problems with Jackson but I wanted to do this on my own.

“I need to do this by myself to be sure,” I muttered. “This is too important.”

“There’s no way I am letting you out of this house,” He responded.

“You do not have to, you only have to let me into your library. There should be something about this symbol in there,” I said, staring at Kaelion who didn’t seem convinced by what I had just said.

“No, it’s better if you let Jackson handle this. There’s also no way I’m letting you into my library where all the pack files are,” He stated, firmly.

“You can come while I check through the books. I have made it clear I am done defying you, Kaelion,” I said, maintaining eye contact with him.

Kaelion still didn’t seem convinced but I was too determined.

“I won’t touch anything you do not want me to,” I said, further trying to convince him.

After a while, he nodded his head in agreement.

“Can we go look tonight?” I asked.

I just could not waste another second slacking. Whoever killed Lexi had to be caught as soon as possible.

I could be his next target.

“Tonight it is,” Kaelion replied.

“Okay,” I muttered, nodding my head.

“I do hope you know what you are saying, Seliora,” He muttered as I stepped towards the door.

“I do,” I stated in a loud tone making my way towards my room.

I had finally done it.

I finally got the one thing I needed which was to get into Kaelion’s library.

I had not given up on revenge nor will I ever do so. Making him think I was surrendering was all just an act I had to put on to get Kaelion to trust me enough and I had to make it seem convincing.

From how he let me back into the pack house, it seemed to be working.

Lexi’s death was not part of the plan but it has helped me.

The only thing I had to do first was to prove my father’s innocence.

“You won’t see this coming, Kaelion,” I muttered, with a sly grin.

Things were finally going according to the way I wanted them for once.

KAELION POVSomething had changed. Her body language, her tone, and the way she could not look me straight in the eyes. It was all so obvious. The last time I saw her this way was when I took her brother Thlaric captive and had her surrender to me.“Wait up,” I said, watching her walk into the woods but she kept walking without looking back. “You are going the wrong way.”This made her stop and look back at me.“I know you hate me for what I did to your pack, but I am only asking that we work together without fighting,” I stated. “It is only until you go back to your family.”“Fine,” She responded. “I have rules too.”“I am all ears,” I said, moving closer to her.“You let me keep the stone for my safety until we are done,” She said. “Two, you do not question me, we do this way.”“Okay,” I answered. Her plans seemed to have worked so far, It would not hurt to give her a chance.“It's this way,” I muttered going the opposite way from where she was earlier headed. “The other way leads t

SELIORA POVThis side of Kaelion was soft and completely different. It always made me question whether he was the same person I saw in the ballroom on the day he attacked my pack.“I should get some sleep,” I muttered, turning towards the other side, away from him.The only thing that mattered to me was getting my father out of wherever he was and going back to my mother and Thlaric.I closed my eyes but I found it hard to sleep. All I could hear only the sound of the rain pattering against the roof. After a few more minutes of just lying down, I decided to get up and go sit outside for a while. I slowly removed the blanket over my body so as not to alert Kaelion and stood from the bed.“Where are you going?” Kaelion asked, startling me.I assumed he would already be asleep.“I need some air, I am going to sit outside for a while,” I responded, looking back at him. “I am coming with you,” He stated, standing up and picking up the blanket. “You should not be alone out there.”He wal
