I had a heavy feeling in my gut as I ran Leon's doorbell. I didn't know what I was about to walk into and how he was going to be. I got into work about an hour early. It was awful to get ready and go to work as Leon couldn't do that this morning. He stayed in bed as I got ready but promised me he would get showered. I walked through the double doors, the officer at reception smiling at me. His dark hair pushed back. "Can I help?" He asked. I had my office uniform on, the classic dark polo shirt. I had got an early dinner on the way home and I was excited to see Leon. I worried about him with me being at work and at least I could keep a proper eye on him. I was in my formal uniform, at the police conduct office. Me and Stuart had signed in and stood in the waiting area. I was nearly biting my hand off, my heart smashing against my chest. I was sitting outside Leon's house, after my interview I went to nans to quickly check in with her. She was okay, not as good as I would have liked but once she ate I decided I was going to wait for Leon. I had been here about half an hour, still in my formal uniform, sitting on his doorstep. I didn't know if this was the right thing to do but I couldn't just go home, my phone vibrated in my pocket and I opened my text, it was from Ryan. Ryan: 'Just spoke to dad, he wants to see you. I slumped on my office chair, it was getting more and more depressing coming into work without Leon.
