My phone had been ringing nonstop the entire drive home. It was still ringing when I walked through the front door. I tossed it across the spacious living room and headed upstairs. I grabbed a travel bag and opened the drawer to get my passport. Then I looked at my reflection before sliding the mirror aside, revealing the weapons hidden behind it. I picked a few of them and reached for my phone again. I'd already sent Kyle a message, asking him to book me a flight back to Russia. I rushed back downstairs and searched for the phone I'd thrown across the living room. “Where the fuck is it?” I yelled as I searched the lounge and the kitchen connected to it. Just then, I heard a car screech to a stop outside the house. It was Kyle. I grabbed my bag and hurried to his car. “The ticket?” I asked as I walked up to him. “What's going on?” he asked. I ran a hand through my hair and let out a frustrated sigh. “Kyle, I fucking need the ticket.” “Not until you tell me why you're going back to Russia.” “I don't have time to explain…” “Vadim!” he shouted, his breathing uneven. “Don't you fucking yell my name!” I shouted back as I tried to search his car. He threw a punch at my face, but I caught it just in time. I grabbed his fist and slammed him against the car. “Don't you dare raise your fist at me,” I warned him. “Oh? Acting like the Kerzhakov heir now?” he shot back. His words dragged me back to that video and I remembered my mother on her knees begging. I slowly let go of Kyle and began pacing, forcing myself to calm down. Please... think of Vadim. He's all I have. My mother's voice echoed in my head. I clenched my fist. Before I could stop myself, I slammed it into the car window. The glass shattered, cutting deep into my hand. The driver quickly stepped out of the car. I yelled and ran both hands through my hair. Kyle could only watch as I tried to cry. But I couldn't. I had wanted revenge for my mother's death, yet I had killed the man without even knowing he was truly the one responsible. I sank down at the front entrance and stared into space. Blood dripped from my clenched fist, staining the floor. Kyle quietly sat beside me and held out a cigar. My hands trembled as I took the cigar and placed it between my lips. He lit it for me. We sat in silence for a long time while my thoughts stayed on my mother. I finally had the evidence I'd been searching for. It was the reason I left Russia to investigate on my own. But would I ever be able to move on? Her marriage to the Kerzhakov syndicate had cost her life. “A flash drive was sent to me this evening,” I said, my voice rough. “It had the evidence we'd been searching for all these years,” I said before taking another drag from the cigar. “Mother...” I whispered, then fell silent. “Leonardo Pavelenko. I killed him back in Russia when I was still working under Antonio.” I looked at Kyle. “Father knew, Kyle. He knew Leonardo was the one who killed Mother.” I threw the cigar to the ground. Running a hand through my hair, I stared at my bleeding fist. “Antonio couldn't have sent you the evidence,” Kyle said. “Maybe Vanya... or...” His voice trailed off. “Vladislav,” I muttered with a sigh. Vladislav was Vanya's brother. My half brother. He came right after me in the family, though we had different mothers. “The burden is on him now. He's carrying out the heir's duties in your place,” Kyle said. “But he's wanted that position more than anyone,” I replied. “He's always wanted to be Antonio's favorite son.” I clenched my fist. How long had he been keeping that evidence? Vladislav had always seen me as his rival. He wanted our father's position far more than I ever did. Not that I wanted it in the first place. He had always hated me more than anyone else. I could see the anger in his eyes every time we met. “You can't go back to Russia,” Kyle said, pulling me from my thoughts. “You barely escaped. If you go back now, you'll spend your entire years in the same place you've spent years running from.” He paused before speaking again. “Vadim... your mother wouldn't want that.” “Going back to Russia to kill Leonardo's son or wipe out his entire syndicate won't change anything.” “You have too much to protect now. There are more people after Vadim Kerzhakov than ever.” He fell silent for a moment before speaking again. “Think about Nick. Who's going to protect him if you leave? You care about him too much to leave him in your enemies' hands.” I lowered my head and thought about Nick. If I went back to Russia, everything between us would come to an end. He couldn't know that my hands had been stained by my past. But right now, I had to push Nick away. I had to deal with my mother's death before I could think about us again. Would he understand? Would he understand that I was only trying to make things right? For now, I needed to keep my distance. I didn't want to hurt him with my words. “I want to be alone,” I said as I stood up. “That includes... Nick.” Kyle looked at me for a moment, then gave a small nod. He understood what I meant. Without another word, I walked back into the house and headed for the lounge.NICK WALKER ©“What the fuck is wrong with you?” I asked, pushing him aside.“Tell me what the person says,” he said, pulling me out of the restroom.“Let me go… right now,” I told him, stopping in my tracks. He sucked in a deep breath and slowly let go of my hand.“I need you to understand…” he started.“Can we not talk right now?” I cut him off and tried to walk away, but he stepped right in front of me.“Nick, listen to me. I need to know what the person said when he called,” he said, and I sighed.“Why on earth are you making a fuss over a prank call?” I snapped.“Because I need to know, Nick,” he shot back.“Fine. He told me to tell Vadim to keep ‘me’ safe because… I don’t know. I forgot what else he said,” I said, trying to walk past him.He blocked my path, making me stop in my tracks.I took a deep breath, ran my hands through my hair, sighing.“I need to leave,” I said firmly.“Not until you remember what the person said.” He frowned, and I scoffed.I pinched the bridge of my
NICK WALKER ©I let out a shaky breath into the pillow under my face.“I’m going to be okay,” I kept telling myself as I lay there. But I knew I was lying.I wasn’t okay.We weren’t okay.I bit my lip, trying to hold back the tears I had been holding back since I left Enzo’s house.“Are you going to lie there forever?” I heard Avery ask from across the room.“It’s nothing,” I said in a muffled voice.“Okay, time’s up. Get up,” Avery said as she tried to pull me up.I groaned as she tried to sit me up. Our eyes met, and I let out a sigh.“It’s not what I think…” she started, then stopped as she looked around for Mira.I rolled my eyes and dropped back onto the couch, burying my face in the cushion.“Well, what can I say?” she said with a teasing smile. My hole still hurts like hell like it's never going to heal. My body grew tired and worn out, and I couldn't talk about it. Not even with my best friend. We stayed quiet for a while before I finally spoke.“Something is wrong with Enzo,

His fingers pierced my skin as I thrust my fingers in.I wrapped my hands on his nape and pulled him for a kiss.“Argh.“ He moaned and whimpered as I pushed my fingers in him.He kept his gaze on me which strangely caused my cock to tighten, I thrust deeper as we moved in pace together.I grabbed my hardened cock and looked around for a lubricant.“Fuck it.“ I whispered and dropped spit on my hardened cock.“It's going to hurt.“ I told him, and his hand gripped my arm as he tried to even his breath.I leaned down and kissed him, exploring his mouth with my tongue, savouring the sweetness of his lips.I stroked my hard cock and pushed the tip of it inside him, making Nick gasp as he rolled his eyes, his hand still gripping my arm.I took his hair from his face and ran my hand through his hair. “Breathe." I told him, looking into his eyes as his breath came out uneven before he gave a slow nod.
NICK WALKER © I always held Enzo close whenever we were together, and it includes this moment also. I sometimes get the fear that he might run from my arms and I can't explain where that feeling came from. Maybe I wasn't wrong to feel that way. For a moment, it felt like I was about to lose him. But he was here again, his tongue stuck in mine. He pulled away from me and stared at my bleeding wrist. The cloth wrapped around it was already soaked with blood. He let out a sigh and turned to leave, but I quickly grabbed his shirt. He looked back at me and ruffled my hair, giving me a short smile before gently removing my hand from his shirt. Then he walked out of the gym, leaving me alone. I stared down at my wrist. It hurt, but I barely registered the pain. My mind was too focused on Enzo. I couldn't stop thinking about him. I looked across the large gym and noticed cigarettes and ashes scattered across the floor. Everything was a mess. It looked like he had bee
NICK WALKER ©After my conversation with Mr. Kyle that day, I still couldn't get hold of Enzo for another three days.Mr. Kyle wasn't letting me see him because his men kept stopping me. Even when he left his office, one thing or another always stopped me from getting to him.My head was a mess. Back at home, I had planned a small outing for Mira and Mom without telling either of them. But it turned into a failure, just like I expected.Mira and I had a fight before I left home for work.Enzo still wasn't replying to my messages.I pressed my lips together and stared at the entrance of the bar."What's got you thinking?" Shawn asked as he stood in front of the counter."Ah. Nothing, really," I said with a forced smile.I suddenly spotted Mr. Kyle leaving his office upstairs with his men. I quickly grabbed my phone."Where are you going?" Shawn asked as I left my station.“Uh, the bathroom. Cover for me for a while,” I told him before walking outside. Before I could get to him, his men
NICK WALKER ©The exams were over, and the holiday had finally started. But I hadn't been able to reach Enzo for the past three days.He hadn't come to my house, and I hadn't seen him at work either. He wasn't replying to my texts or answering my calls.I couldn't stop worrying.I just wanted to know if he was okay. Was he sick?“Aren't you going to eat?” Avery asked as we sat down for lunch.I sighed as I stared at the food in front of me.“If you're not going to eat it, give it to me,” Avery said, pulling my plate toward herself.Seriously? Before she could take another bite, Mira smacked the back of Avery's hand with her spoon and pulled the plate back to me.“Ow! That hurt.”“Mira, apologize,” I said quickly as I took Avery's hand to check it.“How did you even choose her as your friend?” Mira asked, shaking her head as she continued eating.“He wasn't eating. You didn't have to be so harsh,” Avery said, rubbing the spot where Mira had hit her.“Well... sorry,” Mira mumbled.Avery
