Chapter 106: A Mind In Doubt

MABEL’S POV:

Up until now I can't believe that my father is dead. I miss him so much.

Jake has been around me for the past few days now.

I cry on his shoulders every night and he never gets tired of me.

“Jake, I thought you hated me, why do you care so much about me now?”. I asked Jake with a whisper who was deeply asleep.

I used my index finger to trace from his forehead to his lips.

He actually looks like me, but how is that possible? We are not even related, maybe it's my imagination.

“Are you done staring?". I removed my finger from Jake's lips as I heard him talk.

“Who is staring? I was just checking on something". I replied to him while feeling embarrassed.

“Alright, let me not tease you. Did you sleep well?". He asked with concern.
