ASTRID’s POV

We arrived at a bar and he insisted I take a glass of wine at least. Just something to cool my nerves down.

I had yet to speak to Ethan, and he had stopped calling anyway. I was going to answer it in the car, but Mateo confused me with his soft hands caressing my thighs.

“Excuse me.” Mateo excused himself and I looked around the bar, hoping that I didn't recognize anyone.

My phone rang again and I angrily answered it without checking the caller ID.

“What do you want Ethan? Leave me alone!” I shouted into the receiver.

“Okay, girl, chill the hell out! What the fuck is with you and this husband of yours?” Brenda? How on earth? I looked at my phone screen and it was indeed Brenda, oh my world. I hadn't checked and thought it was Ethan.

“Girl, I thought it was Ethan, ah, I am so confused right now.”

“Girl, what is going on? Tell me. Huh? Did Ethan do something again?”
