CHAPTER 6

KHRYSTYANNA'S POINT OF VIEW

After the Home Economics class, me and Kyle (Cedric) bid our farewells to Ms. Ross and Mikael after she informed us that she had something to explain to the new student. As we both saw it to be reasonable, the two of us rushed outside while carrying the box of cupcakes the two of us made during our class.

I want to give these to my colleagues in the Student Council as a form of gratitude for their efforts and hard work.

Yes! This is for the Council's. I may be narcissistic in this statement but, I am born with this kindness and with the eye for appreciation for the right people. But, nevertheless, I really have this habit to do even small things for those people who deserve it the most. The Council are not only my colleagues but my friends and family inside the four walls of Oracle Academy. Words cannot simply give justice on how hard working they are. And this little effort I am doing for them is just nothing compared to the merits they have.

When we arrived at the SSG building, we started the meeting for the School Festival that will be held around three to four months later. We planned the whole program, along with the budget that will be assigned and the possible pros and cons that may happen at that time. We meticulously created the program with our perfect teamwork. And with these traits they have, I am very satisfied and proud to be one of them.

"Send me more of your suggestions for the games and additional activities for the School Festival. Because I know that there are a lot of ideas inside of your big brains." I said with a big smile on my face.

The Secretary, Meghan, is taking note of everything. Aside from her beauty that made her popular in the school, she is also a mature-thinker in the group. I may say that she is the number one in that category compared to others based on my observation.

"Bryle, double check the budget and then send it to me." Bryle, who is incharge with the Accounts, took down his own task on his notes and nodded his head as his response.

"Arthur, make a broadcast for the students who are willing to share their own ideas for the Festival. The more, the merrier. The earlier, the better. This festival is, after all, for the students and the people of Oracle Academy." I ordered Arthur, who is incharge of broadcasting and communication. Like Bryle, he also took his own notes and nodded his head as well.

"Yes, President!" They all answered in chorus. With that, my gratitude and satisfaction escalated further for having a perfect team.

'I am really blessed.' I thought.

"Meeting adjourned!" I said, concluding our meeting.

They started to get off their seats when I also remembered my cupcakes for them.

"Wait!" I signalled Kyle that is on standby and listening to the meeting that is cooped up in a corner.

Kyle and I watched their bright faces and satisfaction as they received and tasted the cupcakes with an unerasable smile on their faces.

"Do you like it?" I asked, still nervous with their response.

"Of course, Prez! This is heavenly and one of a kind You are the best!" Arthur exclaimed happily.

We all laughed with Arthur's childish antics. He really makes the environment lively no matter what situation we are in.

When everyone's gone, I dropped my tired body on the couch that is being placed in my office. Kyle placed himself above my head and made me place it on his lap. He started to comb my hair with his fingers while looking from afar.

I looked at him, watching intently and studying his features beneath the mask he is wearing. His eyes that shine as the golden sun with those long sets of lashes makes him look so ethereal that will make a woman catch her own breath just by staring at him.

I got off from his lap and then took a seat beside him. I turned and faced him, which surprised him. I gently took off his mask that revealed his long scar on his face that made me cry.

"Khrys…" his husky voice that calls my name made me face him with tears still streaming down my cheeks.

He held my face by holding my chin. He used his palm to wipe off those tears then stared at me intently.

I feel being sucked from those deep golden eyes of his. I also do not dare to look away.

"Don't cry, please." I bit my lower lip while holding up the indescribable feeling for him inside of my heart. Whatever it is, I hope that it'll not change us and our friendship.

"I'm sorry. It's just that… I cannot help but to blame myself for what happened to you." I cried.

"No, it's not your fault." He said and then kissed my teary eyes to stop me from crying for more.

I hummed as a response. He hugged me tight, comforting my crying heart from the misery of our past.

I chose to cry more while those horrible things flowed like a very long stream of river in my mind. I cannot help but to hold him tight as if it will save me from the pain that we both share. I cried and secretly pleaded for mercy from Him for the both of us. I silently swallowed all of it, hoping that it'll also lessen the heavy load from Kyle's heart and be transferred to me instead.

And his response is almost the same as mine. But compared to mine, he chose to comfort me with his tight yet soft hug that is like a magic that soothes my bleeding heart.

I started hiccuping that made Kyle separate himself from me. He wiped off my tears and smiled at me with a worried face.

"Thanks for staying with me, Kyle." I said as I got off the sofa. I gave him a quick kiss on his lips that surprised him.

Before he could react, I quickly returned his mask to its place, and then I left the office to the Shooting Range.

Kyle followed me. And on our way to the site, we met Mikael on the way.

"Where are you going, if you don't mind?" He asked.

"Tsk. It's none of your business!" Kyle snapped back to Mikael.

I stopped Kyle from bursting and venting his hidden anger out of Mikael. I put my hand on Kyle's chest that was held by him.

Kyle knows that I don't want violence. That is why he stopped from his further plan of taking action against a mere passerby.

"Enough, you two!"

I sighed and then pulled Kyle away from Mikael before everything got out of hand.

Inside the Shooting Range, I started to practice with two Human Shooting Boards and the usual Shooting Board used for target shooting practices as I entered and grabbed my exclusive gun that I even named.

While at it, I noticed Kyle's silence while watching.

Kyle is an introvert and only opening up with me. Sometimes, when necessary, he will speak a little. But when he dislikes the other party, he easily snaps out and his hidden stress leaks out from him that I can easily detect. And with Mikael's case, it's the latter.

"Can I ask you something?" I started while checking the magazine's placed on the table in front of me.

"Uhm." He simply replied.

"What's up with the two of you?" I responded with silence.

After seeing that the magazine's are full, I put it back inside and loaded my gun to fire it for the last shooting board.

But in the midst of it, I was surprised with Kyle's sudden reply.

"I am jealous!" He exclaimed.

I accidentally dropped my hand that was holding my gun as I turned to him. And there, I saw that he was not joking with undeniable evidence showing up to me.

'He is what?!'
