Hello, lovelies!

I don't have a chapter tonight (I will throw one on Friday), but I am writing this note to clarify some questions. (This is A FREE CHAPTER).

FATED MATE vs. CHOSEN MATE MARKS

Fated Mate will have a form of the crescent moon between the two dots (bite) like a faint tattoo, while Chosen Mate will only have regular bite wounds.

FEMALES (with no ranks, including Omegas) who are rejected, did the rejection, or never found their mates can choose a Chosen Mate without any issue.

However, ALPHA FEMALES (born from Alpha families up to the third degree) cannot be claimed except through THE CLAIMING.

It is considered a violation of Council Law if an Alpha Female is claimed outside of The Claiming. The council will decide the punishment for the Alpha female and her chosen mate (e.g., imprisonment, stripping off the Alpha/Beta title, lashing, etc...)

In Amara's case - she rejected Jace, so technically, she is a FREE ALPHA FEMALE who can only be claimed through the CLAIMING.

WHY IS THERE A CLAIMING?

Alpha Females, when mated to an Alpha male, have a 95% chance of having a son as a firstborn. Because most Alpha families had sons, Alpha females were becoming such a rarity that every Alpha lineage wanted to be mated to them to continue producing Alpha males. Thus the Claiming is born.

So to answer some questions:

1. NO, Jace cannot mark her because they think the mark that will appear on her skin is the regular CHOSEN MATE mark (no sparks or mate scent anymore).

2. They are both Alphas and can be stripped of their titles if someone files a complaint with the Council and notifies them of her being claimed outside of the Claiming. No proof exists to show they are fated mates. We have females and males both wanting to have Jace and Amara and enemies to file cases against them.

3. If we follow the correct process of being mated to Amara, she is now up for the Claiming. Amara is not allowed to be marked by anyone except the man who will win her in the Claiming Arena.
