Kira's POV.

"Trisha... Oh my baby, my sweet child." I cried as I hugged my child, she hugged me back tightly crying her eyes out and I held her to my bosom.

"Shhh, shhh baby, I'm here now love, momma's here and she won't leave you sweetheart." I assured her, dropping kisses on her head but she still held me tight, crying and telling me not to leave her.

"Sweetheart, I'm not leaving you, look... Mommy is right here and she's not going anywhere, she'll be here for you always, don't be scared darling, nothing will harm you as long as I'm here." I mumbled, still rubbing her back and kissing her.

After a few minutes of sobbing, she released me from the hug and looked at me, her eyes were red, puffy and that sight hurt me so badly but I swallowed my pain and gave her a bright smile.

"I miss you so much mommy, why did you leave us?" She asked and I looked around the odd place we were in; it wasn't a good looking environment, it looked shabby and I didn't like the dark aura emitting from eve

  • The Betrayed Luna Strikes Back!   Chapter 161: A Crazy Date

Kira’s POV“That’s the seventh attack this week,” Ashton muttered, kicking the twitching corpse with the toe of his boot as I yanked my arm free from the beast’s shattered ribcage. Its spine dangled from my hand, glistening with black blood before I casually flung it into the trees. The night air reeked of sulfur and burnt fur, a telltale scent of dark summons. I wiped my face with the sleeve of my ruined jacket and glanced at the wreckage behind us. The car we’d rented for this so-called romantic getaway was a twisted, flaming mess of bent metal and enchantments unraveling in crackles of dying light.“Well,” I sighed, flicking a bloodied strand of hair over my shoulder, “looks like someone’s getting desperate.”“The blood moon’s too close for comfort,” Ashton said, pulling me into his side protectively, even though I didn’t need it. “He’s panicking. Trying to distract you.”“From what?” I scoffed, my eyes narrowing. “He knows I’m coming for my son. And once I get Melvin back, I’m goi

  • The Betrayed Luna Strikes Back!   Chapter 160: Her Therapy.

Kira's POVThe sound of screams, shattering energy blasts, and something heavy crashing into a wall shook the entire villa. Again.“Wake up, love,” Ashton mumbled against my neck, his voice sleepy and amused. “The kids are up.”I groaned, dragging the pillow over my head. “They’re always up. Did they even sleep?”“Probably just blinked.” He chuckled, and I felt the vibration of his chest against my back. “Come on, you promised them training today.”I didn’t move. I was the moon-blessed, goddess-marked, war-sculpted mother of chaos, and yet… my kids terrified me more than any enemy I’d ever faced.A second explosion rocked the house. I heard Trisha’s battle cry echo down the hall, followed by William’s loud, cackling laugh and something that sounded suspiciously like a flaming arrow whistling past a guard’s head.I groaned louder.“They’re going to blow a hole in the ceiling again,” I muttered, face still buried under the pillow.“They already did,” Ashton said with a grin. “Bella’s sc

  • The Betrayed Luna Strikes Back!   Chapter 159: Christopher’s Resolve

Author’s POV"HOW?!" Christopher snarled, his voice echoing through the dark chamber as his foot slammed into the table, sending shards of glass and scattered papers flying. The wooden frame cracked from the impact, pictures fluttering down...images of Nicholas’ charred remains, Alex's mangled body, and a single bloodstained feather stamped with Kira’s crest. Mockery. Pure, deliberate mockery.“She sent me his fucking ashes in a black box,” he growled, pacing back and forth like a caged beast. “His ashes. Like a damn souvenir!”His beta, Marcus, stood silently near the wall, wisely keeping his distance. He had never seen Christopher this unhinged. And he had witnessed a lot.Christopher ran his hand through his hair, eyes bloodshot, teeth clenched as he kicked the broken table again. “She was supposed to die with them! That bitch was supposed to rot with the rest of her cursed bloodline! But she is still out there? Stronger?! Smiling?!”“She’s not the same woman from years ago,” Marcu

  • The Betrayed Luna Strikes Back!   Chapter 158: Alex's End.

Kira’s POV"Dead, huh? I really wanted to kill him, this is sad, how's he dead?" I asked with a chuckle, staring down at the lifeless corpse sprawled across the obsidian floor like discarded meat. His mouth was still twisted in that final scream... eyes wide, soul gone.Ash’s arm curled tightly around my waist, steady and warm against my trembling frame. His touch grounded me, tethered me, because goddess help me… I was one second away from burning the entire body into dust. Slowly. Painfully. Piece by cursed piece.“I know that look,” Ashton murmured into my hair, pressing a kiss to the side of my neck. “And I also know you’re fantasizing about setting every fiber of his being on magical fire.”“Just his bones,” I said dryly, “I already did the rest.”He chuckled, but I didn’t miss the way his hand slid protectively across my stomach. “We got some decent information from him before his heart gave out. Enough to narrow down Christopher’s location. With the map spell William drew and w

  • The Betrayed Luna Strikes Back!   Chapter 157: Wrath Tastes Bitter

Kira’s POV"It's not enough, Ash. I want every single piece of filth he’s keeping in that rotten head of his." My voice cracked, my knuckles bloody, and with one last punch, I dislocated his jaw so hard that the snap echoed off the walls. His body slumped in the magical restraints, unconscious, barely breathing.Ashton was beside me instantly, grabbing my wrist before I could draw another spell. “Kira, stop. Look at me. You’ve already extracted too much. Any more and he’ll die. He’s not a god. He’s a tool. And tools are more useful, sharp, not broken.”I tore my hand away, panting, furious. "You think I care if he dies? That thing walked into my home. He looked my children in the eye and smiled. He lied to Trisha. He stood there every day pretending to protect her while feeding information to the same bastards who ripped my sons from me!"Ashton didn’t flinch. “I know. But this rage? It doesn’t serve us yet. Tomorrow, we finish it. Today, we’ve gotten enough to map half of Christopher

  • The Betrayed Luna Strikes Back!   Chapter 156: The Trap

Kira’s POVAshton and I sat side by side in the villa’s grand sitting room, the atmosphere deceptively calm. Sunlight streamed through the enchanted glass windows, casting a soft golden glow across the velvet furniture and polished floor. Everything looked perfect, warm, homely… like a loving family just waiting to start their day.But beneath that surface?A storm waited.A trap was breathing. The villa was sealed, laced from floor to ceiling in layered enchantments. From the moment Alex would step through the outer gates, he’d be under surveillance. Not a step, not a flicker of magic, not a heartbeat would escape my notice. We had cloaked everything under the guise of a “normal lesson.” Bella and the guards had been given specific roles, and William? He was waiting upstairs, perched like a shadow with Trisha beside him, watching through the spell-mirror Ash had crafted last night. The silence between Ash and me was heavy, but not awkward. It was focused. He leaned back casually in t
