Drew!
my step brother.
'''Hey'' he said casually
''Hi'' I replied, what are you doing here?
He was silent for a while, then he took my hands in his and led me outside towards the parking lot and stopped when he got to his car. Goosebumps filled my body form the intensity of his touch, he let go of my hands and instantly I realized I was wearing a bikini in front of him.
I glanced up at Drew his eyes were fixed on my breast, his looks weren't one of a brother telling his sister to cover up because he felt overprotective but were of pure lust and desire.
He grabbed the handle of his car, a black Rolls-Royce Boat Tail. I could work my entire life to be able to afford such ride.
''Get in'' he ordered
I got into the passenger seat of the car without another word, he shut the door and moved around to the other side of the car. He got in and immediately started driving out of the club and that instant, I remembered why i actually hated him.
He has dark hair, piercing blue eyes, toned skin and was devastatingly handsome. my friends used to joke around and call him ''the ladies- man,'' as funny as it sounded, it was the truth. He always got what he wanted and that includes most of my friends.
When we were younger, he would sneak girls into the house at night or during the day when our parents weren't home and would have sex with them. it had been infuriating to hear them scream his name and moan as he made love to them.
He had almost everything he wanted because of his looks, no doubt he was smart, out-going and good at major sports like football and basketball. His poor background never affected how he lived his life outside home and in school, he attracted female of even higher age than he was some of which were responsible for his nice haircuts, clothes, money and even phones.
But of all these, the reason i hated him so much was because he had left home, he left me.
''What the hell were you doing there dancing like a whore, Alexa?'' he asked me, bringing me out of my thoughts.
I ignored him, trying to piss him the more
He stopped the car abruptly by the side of the road making me jerk in my seat, ''didn't you hear me ask you question just now'' he roared.
''Where are you taking me to?'' I asked totally ignoring his own question.
He hissed, put the car back in motion and answered coldly ''to my apartment in the city''. Typical him, always taking control and doing what he wanted without asking about the opinion of others.
''No Drew, I am not going to your house'' I said as I tried to open the car door, he reached over and pulled the door close locking it this time.
You can't go home like this, what were you even thinking? you could walk into the house in a bikini and expect Mark to spare you? You know better not to provoke him.
''Oh now you care about what happens to me? Fuck you Drew! I've been okay for six years without you or your fucking advice, I have my life under control.
''Not with this,'' he said referring to my bikini, you shouldn't be doing this, you shouldn't be in a place like this, Alexa. Does your mom know you strip for a club?
''What do you think, she doesn't ask of my whereabouts and she's okay with whatever I do.''
Do you know what it felt like to watch you dance for me? How much is your pay huh? You render bedroom services too to those old men right?
Tears streamed down my cheeks as I listened to everything he said.
''Alexa you know I didn't mean it that way?''
I looked up at him, a part of me willing to believe he didn't mean anything he had just said to me now and jump over him and embrace him. This is why I hate myself, I hate how vulnerable he makes me feel, how everything he does affects me.
''You understand me?'' He asked, his voice bringing me out of my thoughts again.
I nodded signifying I understood him. His grip on the steering wheel tightened and I knew exactly what he was thinking. It was about his dad, the things he did to me, the way he looked at me and the words he used on me.
''Fuck'' he muttered under his breath hitting the wheel hard.
Drew had left home six years ago at midnight with his friend Nicholas. They had both with the help of investors started a business few years later and now he's rich. A part of me understood why he had left home but the other part of me still felt betrayed. He left without informing me knowing the things I suffered at home.
I tried to avoid hearing news about him nor his whereabouts but I wasn't lucky enough as soon, his face became the cover of most magazines and billboards.
We got to the entrance of his apartment in no time and he stopped the car, getting out and unlocking my side of the door. The cold air hit me as soon as I opened the door and then I realized I had left my jacket in the changing room at the club. I stood there frozen, he turned around when he noticed I wasn't following he, he came back to where I stood and tossed his jacket to me. I wore the jacket immediately and followed him into the building of the apartment, for the first time tonight, I was able to get a good look at him.
He wore dark jeans and a cream color t-shirt with the jacket he had just given to me, a pair of white canvas, his hair was messy but still looked attractive. He looked like a model ready for a photo shoot.
Just then, I saw the cut on his wrist. I remember exactly how he had gotten that cut trying to save me eight years ago. I reached out to hold his wrist but he sensed it and immediately swung his hands above my head resting it on my shoulders.
Billions of electricity sparked between us and I could swear he knew exactly what he was doing right now and how what he does affects my body.
He was my stepbrother and I knew it was wrong of me to desire him this way, but I liked it and wasn't going to stop.
As the days turned into weeks, the excitement for the wedding grew. Everyone was buzzing with anticipation, and the house was filled with the sound of laughter and chatter. We all went on a shopping spree, getting new outfits, clothes, shoes, and bags. I tried on my wedding dress multiple times, making sure it was perfect. Nessa got her maid of honor dress, and Drew and Nicolas looked dashing in their tuxedos. Finally, the big day arrived. The house was buzzing with activity as everyone got ready. My grandparents, uncles, aunt and families all arrived, beaming with happiness. We all got into our various cars and headed to the wedding venue, some guests were already seated waiting patiently for us. Everything kicked off just immediately, I was walked down the aisle by my grandfather. I saw Drew waiting for me, looking handsome in his tuxedo. Nicholas stood beside him, his smile, contagious as he saw me. Nessa also stood by my side, smiling brightly. The ceremony was beautiful, with pe
As we woke up the next morning, my phone rang, breaking the silence. It was my grandfather calling to ask about the babies and exchange pleasantries. After a while, he asked, "So, when are you two lovebirds planning on getting married?"Drew, who was lying beside me, suddenly sat up and took the phone from me. "Actually, sir, I've have something nice planned out, and I intended to see you physically for a discussion.” he said with a smile. "We're going to have a beautiful outdoor wedding in a stunning landscape surrounded by nature and flowers. And the best part is, it's just a month away! The venue and all is under construction and would be ready in two weeks time.”I was taken aback, my eyes widening in surprise. I had no idea Drew had planned anything, let alone the entire wedding! I listened in awe as Drew continued to talk to my grandfather, discussing the details of the wedding. After they hung up, I turned to Drew, excitement radiating from my face. "You've planned the wedding?
Few days after the birth, our house was still buzzing with excitement. Zach and Catherine were inseparable from the babies, and they took turns feeding and cuddling them.My mom and Theresa were also a big help, cooking meals and doing laundry despite the presence of a new housekeeper and cook. Drew and I were enjoying every moment of parenthood, even the sleepless nights. We would take turns feeding and changing the babies, and we would often sit together in the nursery, watching them sleep.Nessa was also a big help, and she would often come over to visit and assist with the babies. She was overjoyed to be an aunty, and she would spend hours playing with the babies and giving them attention. My mom was now staying with us full-time, she was cleared off her probation and now was happily helping with the babies and getting everything back to normal. Drew was working from home, taking care of his fatherly duties and making sure everything was running smoothly. Our home was filled with
We drove through the quiet streets, I felt a sense of contentment wash over me. It had been a wonderful evening, and I was grateful for the love and friendship that surrounded us.After a while, Drew broke the silence. "I'm glad we're having twins," he said, smiling at me.I smiled back, feeling happy. "Me too," I said. "It's going to be an amazing adventure."Drew nodded, taking my hand. "We'll face it together," he said. "As a family."I felt a surge of love for him, and I knew that everything was going to be okay. We were in this together, and we would face whatever challenges came our way as a team.As we pulled into our driveway, I felt a sense of relief wash over me. It had been a long day, but it had been worth it.Drew helped me out of the car, and we walked together into our house going into our room immediately and getting ready for bed. Drifting off to sleep that night, I knew that tomorrow would bring new challenges and adventures. But I was ready, because I had Drew by m
I woke up to the sound of Catherine knocking gently on our bedroom door. "Good morning, Alexa! I brought you some breakfast. It’s almost noon.” she said, her voice soft and cheerful.I smiled, feeling grateful for Catherine's thoughtfulness. "Thanks, Catherine. Come on in." I said to her and glanced at the wall clock, it was past 11am. Catherine walked in with a tray laden with scrambled eggs, toast, and fresh fruit. "Good morning, Drew," she said, smiling. Drew stirred, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "Morning, Catherine. Thanks for bringing us breakfast."I took a bite of my eggs, savoring the delicious flavors. "Catherine, did Theresa make these?” I asked, gesturing to the meal. Catherine nodded. "No, she left hours ago. She said she had a busy day ahead of her at the restaurant, I made them.”“Oh, you’re the sweetest. Thank you.” I said, praising her sense of thoughtfulness. After we finished eating, Drew and I relaxed for a while, before he started to work on his computer. A
***FIVE MONTHS LATER….I sat in the living room, engrossed in a book about parenthood. The warm glow of the lamp beside me cast a cozy ambiance, and the soft hum of the TV in the background created a sense of relaxation. Drew walked into the room, a gentle smile on his face, and sat down beside me."Hey, how's the book?" he asked, nodding towards the pages in my hand.I looked up, my eyes sparkling with excitement. "It's great! I'm learning so much about what to expect when the twins arrive."Drew chuckled. "I'm sure you'll be an amazing mom. You're already so prepared."Just then, Zack walked out of his room, a curious expression on his face. "Hey, what are you reading?” I smiled. "Just a book parenthood.” Zack nodded and plopped down beside us on the couch. Catherine, who had been quietly reading in her room, also emerged, drawn in by the conversation. As we chatted, Stella, our new housekeeper, walked into the room with a tray of freshly baked cookies and a pitcher of cold lemona
