Two weeks later, Keira was in police's custody, awaiting the court trial which was about a month away. The news of her being the prime suspect in Xander's murder had spread out like a wild fire. It was the top news in all the media houses and new channels in Boston.

"Son of A list business man and heir to the Williamson's empire, Xander Williamson, killed by his nineteen year old girlfriend, Keira Logan."

That was the top search on the Internet. Both local and international news channels were anchoring updates on the case.

Keira tried pleading not guilty, but it was invalid, especially after the gun whose bullets were found in Xander's body, was extracted from her belongings a few days after the arrest was made.

She was bewildered and she blatantly denied ownership to the gun and swore she'd never used nor seen the gun before, but no one believed her.

It was as if someone was working in the shadows, to get her in jail for a crime she'd not committed.
