Leaving her in shock, I left the room and climbed down the stairs to take an update on Mateo from Enzo. However, when I reached the hall, I noticed Enzo sitting on the couch talking to someone on the phone with his head in his hand.

“Enzo,” I called out and he immediately turned to me, standing up.

“Jacob, it’s Mateo,” Enzo said anxiously and handed me the phone. “There’s a problem,” he added and I immediately took the phone to my ear.

“Yes, Mateo, what is it?” I asked loudly.
