"What a shameless woman..." Maria exclaimed in shock, her eyes widening at the woman on the screen.

I chuckled, carrying the cup to my lips as I watch the same woman shed crocodile tears.

"Even after S.I exposed her for her misdeeds. She still has the galls to go on national TV and deny everything?"

"Excuse me?" Kimberley a new member of our tea party pitched in. "What's S.I?"

"The Society Insider of course." Maria Chirped in.

"Haven't you read her blogs? She post Insider news of the hot latest gossips." Maria added as Kimberley shook her head in disarray.

"I'm not really much of a social media person. I like to keep to myself." Kimberley said.

"You're not missing much." Tiffany chipped in swirling her spoon in her tea.

"All she does is ruin marriages." She blew her tea as Kimberly looked mortified.

"Oh please.." Maria hissed putting her cup down. She looked over to Kimberly. "She's just pissed her husband was exposed for having an affair."

"Says the Mrs her husband got exposed for money laundering and is currently saving jail time for it." Tiffany muttered.

"Ex husband.." Maria coughed. "And she practically saved my life. That abusive piece of shit can rot in there for all I care.." Maria added.

"Should I be worried for my husband?" Kimberley asked looking mortified.

"Don't mind them. S.I doesn't go after men with a clean reputation. As long as your husband has nothing to hide. He'll be fine..." I said calming Kimberley down.

"That's easy for you to say." Tiffany spat. "Not everyone can have be lucky as you Vivian."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked, tugging a strand of hair behind my ear with poise.

"Let's see..not only does your husband spoil you rotten. He's utterly devoted to you. And, he hasn't been caught under S.I's Radar, that's rare." Tiffany said, jealousy evident on her tone.

"Maybe he has nothing to hide and S.I can't really find anything on him." Kimberley suggested.

"Or maybe S.I is Vivian and she's just covering up for him..." The room went silent until everyone burst out laughing. No one noticed but my heart raced when they came to that conclusion.

"Where would I find the time." I crossed my legs, an attempt to keep myself calm.

"I'm too busy hosting charities and flying first class to attend business meetings with my husband. Not only that, I have a household to take care of..."

"We get it, we get it. You're busy." Maria muttered. "But... what if?" She entertained the idea as I swallowed hard trying to decipher if she was setting a trap.

"I'm sure S.I is someone utterly miserable. They simply have too much time on their hands and their only source of joy is to ruin people's lives..." Tiffany suggested, making me uncomfortable in my seat.

"Vivian.." their eyes spun to me. "What do you think?"

"Hmmmm." I scratched my chin. "I wonder what might be the next gossip, S.I has in stored. It's been a while since she dropped something juicy." I said.

"You're right," Maria muttered. "It's been a month. Maybe she's working on something big."

"Or maybe she's run out of people's life to ruin.." Tiffany said as my phone screen came to life. I turned the screen over trailing my eyes back to the conversation.

"Your husband?" Kimberley muttered looking over at me. I nod. "If I reply his text, I won't focus on the conversation." I said.

"Oh please Miss lover girl, text him back..." Maria groaned.

"It can wait.."

The tea party ended and I saw everyone off. My heels clicked loudly against the halls as I head to my study. I pull out a key, twist it in the key hole and push the door open.

I let myself in, shutting the door behind me and bolting it from the inside.

Inside looked like a normal study, and you might wonder. What did a regular wife need a study for. My husband questioned that too, and so far he thinks that I come here to read romance novels.

I go behind my laptop and share my phone screen.

I clicked on the message sent by the anonymous an hour ago.

"Are you taking requests?" The message read.

"Yes.." I typed back.

"I want a particular person to be investigated. Can I trust that you'll do your job?"

I rolled my eyes at the message.

"You can. Who do you want investigated." I sent the message and immediately got a reply.

"Sienna Laurent." My brows furrowed at the name. Sienna, the A list actress?

I muttered a scowl, what could she possibly be hiding? Those kind of investigation are mostly petty and could be sent by an ex boyfriend or an agency and I'm definitely getting less than two thousand dollars.

I tapped away at my keyboard about to turn down the request until the anonymous sent another message.

"I'll pay you 500 thousand.." I step back my brows furrowing.

This is definitely scam.

"Deposit 250 thousand and I'll get right on it." I messaged back rolling my eyes. I got up from my chair, there's no way they had that kind of money and immediately Two hundred and fifty thousand dollars was wired to me.

My hands shake at the amount. If not for my anonymous clause to protect my client I wondered who would spend that much money for something like this.
