VIVIAN

Maybe I was hallucinating. This couldn't be real.

I ended the video on my phone, I dailed Adrian's number and called him, his phone rang and I waited for him to answer the phone and for all this to be nothing more than a cruel joke. I watch Adrian pull out his phone and slide the call to end. My phone escaped from my grasps in disbelief. In all my years knowing Adrian, he'd never end a call on me. Maybe that's because I never called him at this time of the night. My eyes glassed with tears as I watch the both of them pull eachother in a warm embrace and kiss. I hiccuped, devastated that my husband would plant his lips on another woman other than me.

My hand shaking, goes to the car lock, my hand froze on the knob. If I came down and confronted the two of them, how would that look on me?

I'd be deemed as a crazy woman that drove her husband into the hands of another woman. I and Adrian are already admired to be the perfect couple.

If I react now, I'd be laughed at. Mocked like every other woman unable to keep her husband. I know what Maria and Tiffany went though when their husband were exposed. Could I really handle that?

I let go of the door lock, going down the car seat to pick up my phone to take pictures of Sienna and Adrian. When I was done, I put my phone aside and with my hand shaking carefully left the premises without getting caught.

I get home, dragging myself to my study as I dropped my purse. My eyes panned over to the white board, the red strings making sense now that I knew Adrian was Sienna's lover.

A bile rise in my throat, I felt nauseous, i wanted to vomit.

I exit my study, dragging the door shut and in a matter of moments, I heard the front door pressed shut and the familiar threading of foot steps.

Adrian was home.

Out of instinct, I go to greet him.

"Welcome home..." I couldn't say the world darling and he didn't seem to notice. He was all smiles, till his eyes dragged over to me and for some reason it seemed to falter a bit.

"Oh honey.." he said shamelessly. "You're still up." He announced surprised.

"I couldn't sleep.." I said walking over to him, my head tilting to the side.

"What?" He noticed my eyes, checking his neck. I walked over to him, his eyes filled with nervousness.

"Where's the ice-cream you promised me?" I asked as he looked relieved.

"Oh honey.." he began. "The meeting took too long, it was already late. I didn't have the time." He said as I fold my arms and arched a brow. But he has the time to see another woman?

"Meeting?" I drawled. "I thought it was dinner." I repeated as his eyes widened. He nodded, letting lose of his tie, like his lies were already choking him up.

"It, it was a dinner meeting.." he explained.

"Really, that doesn't explain why you didn't answer my call. Maybe if you did you would have remembered." I snarled at him watching how he'd lie his way out of this.

"One of the investors drank too much and was wasted. You know I'd never not take your calls my princess. I had to check him into an hotel..." He inches towards me, his arms opened wide as he pulled me into a warm embrace. He didn't smell like his normal cologne, it was mixed with the hint of a woman's perfume.

"You smell like perfume." I muttered, accepting it was Sienna's.

Adrian pulled away from the hug, his hand cupping the side of my face as he caressed my cheek. "When did you start acting all insecure." He muttered.

"You know a few women normally attend those parties. It's not like I can say no. I don't even care to look at them so why are you worried?" He said.

"You know I wouldn't hurt you princess.." he said and I didn't know what to believe anymore.

His phone popped a notification. I know it's Sienna because he didn't show me the screen like he normally would.

"One of the investors wanted to know if his partner got home safe. I need to go call him and discuss with him now." He said as I nodded.

"I'll be heading over to my study." I said turning my back to him.

"Don't stay up too late." He muttered and all I could do was nod as the tears I'd been holding the entire time freely fall.

I thought we told each other every thing, how long had it been since Adrian started lying to me?

I entered my study, bolting the door shut. I walked behind my desk, I pulled out my phone to look at the anonymous wire transfer.

Why did this person hire me to look into Sienna. Is this what he was possibly looking for? But why? Was this a sick joke or merely a coincidence.

The reason he was willing to pay that much money to dig into Sienna was suspicious. No sane person tosses that much money for an investigation.

My eyes panned to my phone screen. The money was wired under an offshore account under the name Laker enterprises.

I turned on my laptop, immediately searching up the name. It was one of the subsidiary companies under a chain of other subsidiaries.

I leaned back, my brows furrowed, there had to be a main company in charge of all these. And there it was. Blackwood Conglomerate. The head of all the subsidiaries.

And the man that owned every single chain was none other than Damian Blackwood.

So Damian Blackwood hired S.I to look into Sienna but why? What is she to him? Why is she so important for him to carry out an investigation on her.

I get back on my computer and then, it came to me. His estates and a few of his subsidiary company. She was listed as a spouse.

My jaw dropped at the revelation. Why wasn't this public?

Damian was Sienna's husband.

A hand flew over to my mouth as the shock simmered in.

No one had ever seen Damian Blackwood in person so it wasn't a surprise that their marriage wasn't public knowledge.

It made sense for him to offer that kind of money. He was desperate.

I opened the message tab, forwarding all the pictures and videos I took of Adrian and Sienna to my laptop. The constant use of room thirty seven and the receipt of different hotels the two would visit especially Ace Grand Hotel being the last.

I finished compiling, my heard racing. I tapped the button and after what felt like five minutes I got a reply.

"I'll wire you the rest of your money." And in an instant I got the remaining two hundred and fifty thousand.

I leaned back in my seat. Damien was rumoured to be a dangerous man. And clearly Sienna made a mistake crossing him.

It's no news what he does to investors that crosses him. I'm sure Sienna will have that same fate, if not worse.

SIENNA The floor tilted beneath my feet at Damian's comment. My eyes shimmered, my head spinning back and forth at his words. I dragged out a bitter laugh, my heart pounding in my ears, hoping I'd heard wrong."D.. Divorce.." I stutter, the hard word was like a pill to swallow. I shake my head."You can't be serious..." I chuckled another laugh. But the frown, the pain in his eyes said otherwise. I walked up to him, unable to accept his request. My hand tugged to the ends of his suit jacket."We can't get divorce.." I stutter again, trying to find words that could convince him otherwise. "Damian I love you." The words spill out my lips, ironically as Damian grabbed on to my hand, pulling it away from him. His hand held mine till he finally let go of me."I'll have Logan send you the papers." He said walking away from me and away from his desk and to the door of his office. He opened it, gesturing for me to leave but my feet stayed glued to the floor, still unable to believe that we'v

SIENNA I slammed my hand on the receptionist desk, her unconcerned eyes reached mine. "Can I help you?" She said. I scoffed at her, clicking my tongue. Not even an hour ago she wouldn't dare extend that tone towards me. I ignored it, paying attention to what's most important. "Yes, I need to see my husband.." I said, feelings the burning stares of everyone across the room. Normally I wouldn't need to, I'd just give her a nod and she'll immediately alert Damian. But today when I did, she had security drag me out of the elevator and asked me to state my business. "I'm sorry Miss Sienna, I can't allow you to do that. He's busy." She said. "It's important." I urged as she clicked her tongue at me. "I'm sure it is." She flashed her prissy smile at me, going back to looking at her monitor and as well as attending to other people other than me. "Listen here." I flared. "You may feel high and mighty now. It must be good ain't it. Let me see Damian or else..." I muttered. "Ma'am plea

VIVIAN "Vivian..." Vincent, I mean Damian, muttered, his voice low.My eyes tore away from him as he slowly tried to move towards me, but Adrian beat him to it, stepping right in front of me and shielding me.My eyes drifted to the floor, a low chuckle escaping my lips as my shoulders trembled. My ears rang, drowning out the chaos in the room."I can explain..." Damian muttered as my hand flew to my mouth."Explain what?" Adrian snapped, still standing right in front of me, his anger evident in his voice. My mouth went bitter, my stomach churning as I fought the urge to throw up.I gagged loudly, wrapping my arms around my stomach. My throat felt blocked, and my face felt cold and numb. Adrian turned, reaching out to touch my arm, but I immediately slapped his hand away. Tears filled my eyes as I glared at him.My gaze shifted back to Damian. His eyes were reddened with concern, but I didn't know what to believe anymore."You're... you're Sienna's husband..." I muttered, the room til

VIVIAN My eyes followed Vincent as he glanced around the living room. A smile curled up my lips as I adjusted my red lacy lingerie and sauntered over to him. The moment I walked past him, our eyes met, and his throat bobbed harshly. His eyes never left the see-through fabric.I flashed him a smile, clearing my throat until our eyes finally met again."Welcome, Vincent," I muttered, sitting close to him on the couch. He continued staring, and although I was pleased with the effect I was having on him, I wanted him to say something."So..." I leaned back. "You wanted to see me?" I asked. He finally regained his composure, tugging at his collar. His eyes met mine as he nodded."Yes..." he began. "You look..." He paused, letting his eyes travel down my body, his gaze betraying how much he was holding back."Gorgeous," he continued.I flashed him a smile, tilting my head in acknowledgment."Why, thank you. I just threw this on, you know," I muttered, playing with the strings tied neatly t

  • SLEEPING WITH MY HUSBAND'S RIVAL    12: Playing the fool

VIVIAN Breakfast was quiet. Well, except for my phone buzzing with notifications the entire time. I played with my food, unable to eat as Vincent’s words replayed in my head, each repetition making his voice sound even more mocking.I was a distraction? Hilarious. And I’d needed to hear it from another man to remind me of my worth. It was a bitter explanation for why Adrian was having an affair. In retrospect, I wasn’t good enough. Not even to be someone’s affair partner.I should have known from the beginning. It should have been obvious. So why did it hurt so much? The sound of utensils clashing against plate pulled me from my train of thought as the reeling ringtone of my tone filled my ears..my eyes trailed over to Adrian, holding utensils above his plate, our eyes met as his bounced to my phone."Shouldn't you get that." He muttered, my eyes moving to my phone. My eyes shoot him a glare, I reached out to my phone and immediately slide Vincent's call to answer."Don't call me aga

  • SLEEPING WITH MY HUSBAND'S RIVAL    11: Overstepped

DAMIAN My hand raked through my hair as the water from the shower hit me. All I could think about was Vivian's mouth wrapped around my cock. My hand drifted down, grabbing my already hard length. A wonder, considering Vivian and I had just had sex. I stroked myself, thrusting my hips with each movement as I imagined her warm, wet mouth bobbing back and forth. I let out a groan, pleasuring myself as I pressed one hand against the tiled bathroom wall to steady myself. This had to be inhumane, the way she was always on my mind. Not even Sienna occupied this much space in my head. Whenever I was having a bad day, a text from Vivian was the only thing that could change my mood. Her smile was the one thing I always looked forward to whenever we planned our secret meetings. Hell, even her scent was imprinted in my brain. I didn't just want to have sex with her anymore, and that was what scared me. It wasn't for my amusement anymore. it's been only two months and I just wanted her. All of
