Alpha's Mate!! (His Enchanting Glare)

Summer's POV.

"What?" My voice rang out in shock as I turned my gaze back to Sarah, tears tracing a path down my pallid cheeks.

How heartless was it of her to put out my mother's life as a threat? At that moment, I wished she had never moved into my father's life, never been thrust into my world.

"Summer dear, listen carefully! Disobey me, and you'll be sent out of the Ravenwood pack, stripped of any family ties!" Her words were sharp and biting, her arms crossed over her chest as she locked eyes with me.

"She's not lying, Summer! Moreover, the contract includes a hefty sum of 500 billion dollars, more than enough for your mom's surgery expenses! Marry the Alpha in my stead, and your mother's well-being is guaranteed!"

Ava's voice broke through the tension, her words gentle as she stepped out of her room, flanked by Jackson. Behaving like she was innocent.

It was clear to me that she was putting on an act, pretending to be sincere, and I wasn't buying it.

My mother held an irreplaceable place in my heart, and I was determined to do anything to protect her. Her surgery was important, and the financial burden weighed heavily on me.

The tears in my eyes multiplied as I realised that I had been backed into a corner by Ava and Sarah, leaving me with no obvious way out.

With my hands gripping the fabric of my dress and my eyes squeezed shut, I knew there was no escaping the dire situation they had forced upon me.

The weight of the situation bore down on me, driving me to make a decision.

"I..." My eyes flickered open, my gaze steady as it locked onto them.

"You'd better make the right choice and put your signature on that contract, Summer!" Sarah's words were laced with a harsh tone, and their laughter cut through me, a chorus of mockery that included even Jackson, who now disgusted me.

"I'll marry him, but only if my mom's life is guaranteed!" I bargained, my voice steady and resolute.

"Your mother will fight with all her strength for you, Summer. Now, go ahead and sign the contract," Ava urged, bringing the document close to my face.

Tears streamed down my cheeks as I gazed at the written agreement before me. My eyes briefly flickered to Jackson, a blend of emotions swirling within me, before I finally put my signature on the paper.

"Good girl! Now, it's time to leave, and remember, you're Ava Hills now! Do you understand?" Sarah's voice held a warning harshness as she took the contract from Ava's hands.

I remained silent, abstaining from either speaking or nodding, my inner fury a roiling uproar of emotions directed at myself and the world that had clearly turned against me.

Betrayed and deceived by the person I trusted, threatened and basically sold to a stranger all in the span of a single day; my luck had taken a painful turn for the worse.

Sarah wasted no time, her grip firm as she tugged me along, leading me out of the house. I left behind everything except the clothes on my body.

For the very first time, I tasted the bitterness of rejection and humiliation.

We reached the car, and the instant I slid into the vehicle, she sped up, the car hurtling towards the Pack's mansion.

The journey was lengthy, but upon our arrival, I was met with the stern gaze of a man whose unruly dark hair fell across his forehead.

He looked at me with an intensity that seemed to hint at a million words yet to be spoken.

"Here she is. Take her to the Alpha," Sarah's words were a declaration, and as she spoke, she wasted no time.

She simply climbed into her car and drove away, leaving me completely alone.

Her exit didn't surprise me, though; she had always harboured ill will towards me.

"Follow me, Miss Ava," the man's voice was devoid of any warmth, his words urging me forward. With every step, I felt a sense of impending doom.

I obeyed his command, traversing through the luxury of the sprawling mansion. Amidst all the gloriousness, there was only one thing on my mind: the impending meeting with the man I was being forced into this deal with.

Finally, we halted, and he knocked on a door. "Your contractual breeder is here, Alpha Alexander!" His announcement revealed the name of the man on the other side of the door.

The realisation hit me like a wave. I was about to meet Alpha Alexander. The irony of it all was not lost on me.

"Let her in!" His voice thundered with an authority that sent a shiver down my spine, momentarily making me feel as if I was about to face the shade of my own end.

His commanding tone churned my stomach, and I could feel my legs tremble.

The sense of incoming doom hung heavily over me, and I couldn't shake the feeling that this was going to be the worst day of my life.

As the door swung open, I hesitated before stepping into the room. My gaze was immediately drawn to Alpha Alexander, his back facing me as he stood by the window, hands folded behind him.

"I see you're not Ava Hills!" His words cut through the silence, an assertion that left me utterly taken aback.

How did he know? He hadn't even laid eyes on me before. The shock of his divulgence led my eyes to widen in response.

I couldn't let him be confident, I couldn't let him see through the lies that had brought me to this point. I had to defend myself.

"I am Ava Hills, Alpha..." My words wavered as I struggled to keep my stillness, but the moment his compelling gaze turned towards me, I was frozen in place.

His slicked-back hair framed his face, lending an air of effortless intricacy. His face radiated nothing but charm.

As he drew closer, a sinister sneer curved his lips. Each measured step he took sent a shiver down my spine, leaving me gasping for air.

Strangely, I found myself drawn to his presence, even amid my unease.

He approached me, and I instinctively stepped back, my retreat halted by the door behind me. Trapped, I couldn't escape his relentless advances.

He was mere inches away, his breath grazing my skin, his gaze locking onto mine in an unbreakable hold.

The intensity of his stare was like a whirlpool, pulling me in with an irresistible force.

I swallowed hard, nerves tightening my throat as I contemplated the idea of fleeing. But then, his hand cupped my cheeks, and an electric jolt coursed through me.

It wasn't just any sensation; it was the precise surge of the mate bond, the heart-racing rush that any Omega would experience upon finding their mate.

The realisation then hit me with the force of a hurricane; Alpha Alexander was my mate.

"I know you're not Ava, Summer Hills," he enunciated my name in a hushed tone, and it was as though he breathed life into my very existence.

"You belong to me now, Mate. And believe me, once I mark you as mine, there's no escaping my claim."

As I attempted to steady myself, he drew nearer, his arms curling around my slender waist as his lips pressed against mine in a firm seal.

My eyes, aglow with a vibrant blue hue, fluttered open to meet his regal golden gaze; a gaze that conveyed both royalty and respect.

There, caught in his embrace, I found myself with no option but to submit, to yield to his grasp, to accept my role as his breeder and his mate.

Perhaps, with the passage of time, his heart might come to love me.
