Sebastian's POV

She was surprisingly cute—still confident and hardheaded, just as she had always been. I stepped out of the room to give her the privacy she so adamantly demanded.

“Alpha Sebastian, the council is waiting for you,” my right-hand man, Gargath, informed me as soon as I exited.

“Take it easy, Garth. I know the council is waiting for me. You’ve mentioned it twice since we left the court. Remember?”

“Ai, I’m sure I didn’t,” he chuckled. “Did you have fun last night, Seb?”

He was the only one in the entire kingdom who dared to call me that. Gargath and I had grown up together, long before our secondary genders had emerged. Though both alphas, our ranks set us apart. He was a dormant alpha, while I was the pack leader. To everyone else, I was a symbol of power and a potential threat. To Gargath, I remained the friend he’d always known, and that bond had kept us inseparable.

We walked side by side to the council room. My people, my warriors, and my pack were already seated. As

House of BragoSeated at a round table were the Alphas summoned by Brago. His anger and humiliation from Sebastian's actions still festered, and his obsession with the red-haired girl—whom he believed had been stolen from him—only fueled his rage further. He was relentless."Brago, why have you summoned us here on such short notice?" Raul, the Alpha leader of the Snow Moon Wolf Pack, demanded, his annoyance evident in his raised voice."Raul, do not make a fuss. I’m sure Brago has a good reason for calling us here. Right, Brago?" Lucrah, the leader of the Oracle Night Pack, interjected with a sly, tinted smile.Brago sighed heavily and took his seat at the head of the table."Apologies for the unannounced meeting, but I couldn’t wait any longer. The thought of that man ruling over us sends chills down my spine. He needs to be stopped—by any means necessary. And in case you’re wondering who I’m talking about, it’s none other than Sebastian Knight," Brago declared, his voice laced with b

I waited again. He still wasn’t back. As promised, my clothes and food were provided, but the people here seemed uncomfortable around me.He was supposed to be back by now—not that I cared. I just hated being alone. In my memories, the most cherished times were with my pack members. We would sit together and talk all night. We were there for each other.I was certain some of them survived. They had to be alive somewhere. I needed to find them. But how could I? I was imprisoned, with nowhere to escape.Strangely, I hardly remembered the fight or my defeat. The only thing I recalled was waking up in Brago's den. I sighed deeply.Turning toward the window, I stuck my head out and inhaled the air. Fortunately, the stench that once lingered was gone."Hello," a voice called out.I turned back, thinking it was White. Unfortunately, it wasn’t him."Ai, look down, at the window," the voice spoke again."Window?" I looked down and saw a beautiful girl with the brightest smile."Ai, are you an o

Sebastian's POVThe meeting had lasted longer than I expected. Fortunately, I hadn’t lost any of my warriors. More importantly, I had regained their trust. That was all that mattered.Vaxar had been right, though. I could have killed her when I had the chance—but I didn’t. She was here because of my selfish desires.I wanted her to be utterly alone, to have no one left. I had slaughtered everyone dear to her, from her packmates to her family. Some had managed to escape, but it wouldn’t be for long. I would catch up to them soon enough. The mere thought of her finding solace among her people made my blood boil. Maybe my hatred for her ran deeper than I had ever admitted. Or perhaps... it wasn’t hatred at all. From the arena, I watched her, unable to look away. My mind wandered to all the things I could do with her—her lips, her slim figure, that unyielding confidence in her stance.Everything about her was intoxicating. I could smell the lustful pheromones of the other Alphas as they ob

I now have a secret weapon against you,” she boldly declared.“A secret weapon against me?” I chuckled. “And what might that be?” I asked, trying so hard not to laugh.“I know you overheard us talking.”“Oh really? I doubt that.”“Hah! Well, I’ll tell you anyway. Sebastian Knight. I heard he is stronger, not just any ordinary Alpha, but a super dormant Alpha, and I am going to find him. Surely, I will! He will help me get rid of you and all the others. He is the savior of this town. I’m guessing he doesn’t know how evil you all are—”“Are you sure you’re supposed to be telling me this? I thought a secret weapon was supposed to remain a secret. Or are you trying to give me a heads-up before your ultimate plan?”I teased her a little. Sebastian woke up earlier than expected, even though that was not what he wanted. He longed to spend more time in bed, holding Ara in his arms. But an enemy was at large and on his land. Their territory was known for being barbaric—rogues and beast-like—so some sought alliances with them for protection. Kalis was one of those who had done so. However, their alliance was unlike any other. Both Sebastian and Kalis were powerful alphas of two massive wolf packs, and neither was willing to surrender to the other. This led to disputes now and then. Kalis had come for a visit after hearing rumors that Sebastian, who rarely purchased anything, had bought a beta—something unheard of. Curiosity got the better of him, and he wanted to uncover what or who had piqued the interest of the cold-hearted barbarian alpha. Unfortunately for him, Sebastian was not pleased with this unannounced visit. Without hesitation, he summoned an urgent meeting, calling all his pack members together. Sebastian’

The grand hall was filled with the flickering lights, the sun casting it's lights like a shadow on the stone walls. The air was thick with tension, the kind that precedes a storm. At the center of the room stood Sebastian, his beautiful long White hair dressed behind him in his seat. His piercing green eyes scanned the faces of the council members, each one a formidable figure in their own right. His mind troubled, feeling the uneasiness of his council. Their questionable look and all thanks to Kalis. Kalis , he lifted his head after the apology. His tall figure was the most admirable. underneath that beautiful face of his , there was sneed that only meant trouble. He began to question Sebastian again. "Sebastian," he began, his voice dripping with mockery, "you claim to lead us, yet you hesitate when it comes to dealing with our enemies. How can we trust you to protect our interests?" The prophecy is not only the elites enemy but ours to" Sebastian's jaw tightened,

Hmm, Miss…”“Voldine,” I finished for her, my voice steady.“Voldine,” she repeated, tilting her head as if the name rang a faint bell. “Hmm, that name sounds familiar, but it doesn’t matter. This is an order from our leader, I can’t go against it.”I sighed, disappointment settling in. My escape plan wasn’t going as smoothly as I’d hoped. To make matters worse, I couldn’t even remember what had happened yesterday. It was all a blur, like I’d been in some kind of heat-induced haze.I paused, realizing my thoughts were spiraling. Get it together, Ara.The maid’s voice snapped me back to reality. “Ai, I hope you’re not in too much shock just because I didn’t do your bidding.”I shook my head. It was clear she didn’t like me. His voice trembled. He was worried.“W-What happened?” I asked.“You fainted. We brought you to your chambers. You need rest, so don’t—”I could hear him clearly now. My vision had returned. And suddenly, I remembered why we were here.It was the game. I had fainted because of the pain in my chest.I grabbed Gargath’s hand. “What about the game?”He hesitated. “Aye... it’s almost over.”“What about Ara—I mean, the red-haired?”He sighed and shook his head. He stormed over and grabbed the man by the neck.“You fool! You dare lay your eyes—!”But before he could finish, the chamber doors slammed open again. More men entered, swords drawn—aimed not at Ragnor, but at Hulda.Ragnor let go of the man and turned sharply.“What is the meaning of this?!” he barked. One warrior stepped forward. “My king, stay away from her. The horse kept talking about remembering and stuff i couldn’t comprehend. His voice unfamiliar, feminine. His gaze unnervingly still watched me with eyes too knowing to belong to an animal. "Remember your past, Ara. That is the only way to win Sebastian Knight’s heart." he said like he knew my purpose of being in the game. I wondered. “How did..” “As I said earlier, I am here to help nothing more. You need to remember the memories you have chosen to forget” Its voice was smooth, like wind through the trees, yet it sent a shiver down my spine. I blinked hard, squeezing my eyes shut. “This must be a dream” I muttered to myself. This is a dream. It has to be. When I opened them again, the horse hadn’t moved. “What memories, are you in my dream or maybe I am still dreaming” “Listen to me I don’t have much time Ara” He knew my name and called it once more. “I am here to help” “I don’t even believe in you,” I muttered, more to myself than to it. In the ash-gray dawn, wind whispered through the trees like spirits speaking in lost tongues. “We need to split,” Franco whispered. “I disagree,” Rose said, eyes sharp. “Same here,” Ara nodded, her voice low like thunder before the storm. But their words shattered, for steel clashed ahead—two groups, charging, roaring, blades singing. The fight was wild. Not one soul gave ground. They fought like beasts. But one side had to break. One did. When the blood mist cleared, only three walked from the wreck—silent, breathless. Franco, Rose, and Ara watched, horror in their eyes. Franco once held a sword like a king held a crown. But those days were behind. He had crawled to Brago’s side, left battle for politics, and now his blade arm was slow, soft. He would not survive hand-to-hand. “They failed, like the others,” a voice rang. Freda. She stepped through smoke and bone, flanked by wolves—Alphas and Betas, fierce, fanged, loyal. Ara raised her hand, gesturing to Rose a

Ara’s POV The gods must still look upon me with some favor—for I had not drawn attention. Not yet. But the forest screamed. I could hear the cries of others in the distance, sharp and raw, carried by the wind. And worse… I could smell them—dormant Alphas. Their scent was sour, primal. Disgusting. Still, I had no choice but to bear it. I pressed crushed herbs to my neck, masking my scent. An Omega must hide, not shine. I gripped my bow tight. The string hummed softly. No close combat—I’d lose before I even had a chance to strike. Then… footsteps. Quick, heavy. I ducked behind a thick tree, breath tight in my chest. From behind the branches, I saw her. A woman—tall, sharp-eyed. Black hair like nightfall, eyes like a frost sea. Her voice was silk and steel. “Slay as many as you can,” she said to the two men beside her. “And your reward shall be a night with me.” A cruel grin touched her lips. I recognized the first man—an Alpha with a dark tattoo etched across his arm. I had

Rose’s defiance crackled like static. “You shouldn’t have followed me here,” Rose snapped. Franco scanned the trees, jaw tight. “You think I wanted to? Stay close.” “If you’re so reluctant, then leave! I’ll make a fine feast for the Alphas.” Franco whirled on him. “I’m sick of this act. Being Brago’s favorite doesn’t mean I’ll cater to your whims.” Rose barked a laugh. “His favorite? Who does he summon every night? He fought to keep you out

The stench, sharp as a broken promise, struck my senses. It was just as I remembered—the cries of the crowd, the roar of warriors. But this was no homecoming.I alone bore bow and arrow. No sword. No axe. No iron fang to clash with theirs. They laughed then, and they laugh still. Fools. Or maybe it is I who was fooled.I thought it a game. A test of bravery. Not this. Not death in the dirt. And him—Sebastian. I dared not meet his eyes. Gargath stood tall, troubled by Vaxar’s strange stillness. Her eyes did not storm, her voice did not rise. She made no quarrel with Sebastian for allowing Ara to join the sacred games. And to Gargath, this was not right. He stepped forward, his voice low but steady. "Vaxar… have I asked a foolish thing?" She smiled, cold and knowing. "Not foolish, Gargath. Just amusing. You see me as the villain if I agree, and still the villain if I do not." His eyes narrowed. "You've done something, haven’t you? I know you, Vaxar. No realm in all the nine worlds would find you pleased for Ara’s joy. You hate her. We all know it." Her face hardened. "I do not hate her. I bear her no ill." "Oh, spare me that tale," Gargath snapped. She stepped closer, her voice a whisper meant to strike. "Would you have me raise sword against the Alpha himself? You all would rise like a pack of wolves and tear me down. I wasn’t prepared for that… not yet." "Then why send Crystal to the maidens i
