Ara's POV

I woke up sore—my body heavy and aching in a strange way, like I’d been held too tightly for too long. My limbs were stiff, tense, trembling with something I didn’t quite understand. There was pain, yes—but not the kind that made me flinch. It was deeper, warmer. A throb that curled under my skin and made me breathe harder.

A soft moan slipped past my lips.

I blinked, vision foggy, the ceiling above me a blur of light and shadow. I rubbed at my eyes with trembling fingers until the room sharpened. And then I saw him.

Between my legs.

My heart stuttered.

That same feeling—raw and electric—buzzed through my veins. My breath caught as my skin remembered him. His touch. His scent. It was him. Only him.

No one else could make me feel this way. My body was bare, completely surrendered, and every nerve seemed to beg for more.

The air around us was thick—saturated with heat and scent and something primal. I tried to process what was happening, but there was no time. My thoughts were

Sebastian POVI bore her in mine arms. Her body, weak as a wilted leaf, lay close to my chest. I held her fast, for fear she might vanish like mist in the morning. The warmth of my chambers wrapped around us. Gently, I placed her upon my bed. She lay still—eyes shut, breath light. Brago’s scent still clung to her, clouding her senses.I sat beside her, gazing long upon her face. Fair she was—her brows shaped like the wings of swans, her lips soft as rose petals in bloom.Surely, the Moon Goddess herself shaped her from starlight and fire. She was beauty made flesh.I recalled the first moment I laid eyes upon her—in the wide meadow, her hair red as the dying sun, dancing behind her as the wind played its tune. Each smile of hers struck me like a warrior’s blade, swift and true.Though the past had faded, still I longed for her nearness. My hand rose to the mark on my neck—the bond forged by the Fates. Only she could see it, if she were to accept me as her mate. But she had turned away

After nearly surviving five days trail, alphas, omegas and betas gave their all to the games. Eventually five came on top. Fortunately Ara made it through in time before Ria declared the four as the only survivors. It was time for them to declare their wished upon their Jael. Ria asked for them to come forward and speak. Freda took the stand. "Alpha Kalis, if I may—" “Wait,” Brago said, his voice cutting through like a blade. He stepped into the arena. Niago whispered low, “Brago, what are you doing?” Niago moved to stop him, but Lucrah grabbed his arm. Brago stood tall before Franco and Freda. His eyes sharp, his breath strong. “You two… smell of Rose. His scent lingers. So why is he not here?” Franco froze. His blood turned cold. Brago's words were heavy. He knew Brago’s love for Rose. And now Rose was gone… Brago might break. “I—I—I…” Franco stuttered. Freda sighed deep. Her eyes dropped. “Alpha Brago,” she said, “Rose is dead.” Brago’s eyes widened. “Huh!” he gasp

Ara's POVThe horse was faster than I thought. She moved quickly but carefully, fast enough to get me to the arena on time. She knew how important it was for me to get there. We were getting close. I could hear people cheering. The host was calling out the names of the final four.I wondered what he was thinking. Was he happy I wasn’t there?Did he want me to survive? Was he waiting for me?These thoughts rushed through my mind. I didn’t even realize we had reached the arena. Everyone looked shocked to see me on a horse. The alpha, Brago, stood up and pointed at me. Then I saw Sebastian. He looked right at me. He looked away for a second, but I didn’t take my eyes off him.“How did she make it through? She was supposed to be dead! How is this even possible?” I heard Freya say. She was the woman I had fought—she had almost killed me.“Calm down, Freya,” Franco said, holding her back.I stepped down from the horse, still glaring at her.“Finally, the five survivors have made it,” the ho

Present: Sebastian’s POV “Ahh!” I gasped as I woke up, my head spinning and vision blurry. “Seb, you’re finally awake,” I heard Gargath’s voice from a distance. I blinked. “Aye, are you alright?” His voice was clearer now. I looked up—he was standing in front of me. His voice trembled. He was worried. “W-What happened?” I asked. “You fainted. We brought you to your chambers. You need rest, so don’t—” I could hear him clearly now. My vision had returned. And suddenly, I remembered why we were here. It was the game. I had fainted because of the pain in my chest. I grabbed Gargath’s hand. “What about the game?” He hesitated. “Aye... it’s almost over.” “What about Ara—I mean, the red-haired?” He sighed and shook his head. I let go instantly. My chest felt heavy. No. It couldn’t be. She couldn’t be dead. We were connected. If she were dead, I’d be dead too. So she must be alive. Or... maybe she ran away. She used this chance to run. She tricked me. She left me—again. That—

A man burst into Ragnor’s chamber, haggard and nearly out of breath.“My king, wake up!”The king stirred, annoyed by the intrusion. He turned, pulling the sheets over Hulda beside him.“How dare he wake me? What could be more important than my rest?” he growled. The man dropped to his knees, bowing low. “Forgive me, my king, but there is urgent news.” His eyes flicked toward Hulda, who had pulled the sheet from her head and now sat up.Ragnor noticed the glance and stood, covering himself. He stormed over and grabbed the man by the neck.“You fool! You dare lay your eyes—!”But before he could finish, the chamber doors slammed open again. More men entered, swords drawn—aimed not at Ragnor, but at Hulda.Ragnor let go of the man and turned sharply.“What is the meaning of this?!” he barked. One warrior stepped forward. “My king, stay away from her. She carries ill intentions toward you.”Ragnor’s face twisted with fury. “What madness is this?! Who dares accuse her?! You enter my room w

VIKRON… King Ragnor’s room. The torches flickered low in the royal room of king Ragnor. Casting long, dancing shadows across the stone walls. The horse kept talking about remembering and stuff i couldn’t comprehend. His voice unfamiliar, feminine. His gaze unnervingly still watched me with eyes too knowing to belong to an animal. "Remember your past, Ara. That is the only way to win Sebastian Knight’s heart." he said like he knew my purpose of being in the game. I wondered. “How did..” “As I said earlier, I am here to help nothing more. You need to remember the memories you have chosen to forget” Its voice was smooth, like wind through the trees, yet it sent a shiver down my spine. I blinked hard, squeezing my eyes shut. “This must be a dream” I muttered to myself. This is a dream. It has to be. When I opened them again, the horse hadn’t moved. “What memories, are you in my dream or maybe I am still dreaming” “Listen to me I don’t have much time Ara” He knew my name and called it once more. “I am here to help” “I don’t even believe in you,” I muttered, more to myself than to it. The horse exhaled, a sound al

In the ash-gray dawn, wind whispered through the trees like spirits speaking in lost tongues. “We need to split,” Franco whispered. “I disagree,” Rose said, eyes sharp. “Same here,” Ara nodded, her voice low like thunder before the storm. But their words shattered, for steel clashed ahead—two groups, charging, roaring, blades singing. The fight was wild. Not one soul gave ground. They fought like beasts. But one side had to break. One did. When the blood mist cleared, only three walked from the wreck—silent, breathless. Franco, Rose, and Ara watched, horror in their eyes. Franco once held a sword like a king held a crown. But those days were behind. He had crawled to Brago’s side, left battle for politics, and now his blade arm was slow, soft. He would not survive hand-to-hand. “They failed, like the others,” a voice rang. Freda. She stepped through smoke and bone, flanked by wolves—Alphas and Betas, fierce, fanged, loyal. Ara raised her hand, gesturing to Rose a
