THE DARK SHOT

"I thought you weren't playing any of my games?" I asked him with a sinister smile, I might have not won this battle but the war was still evident, he was the one who showed lack of control not me, so maybe we were 50-50, a motherfucking tie.

"No Laura, you just played my game."

Ignoring him, I walked up to the mirror and gazed at myself. I looked good, incredibly good in fact. My skin was tanned brown and I appeared well rested. The bags I had under my eyes lately had vanished. I grabbed a fluffy white bathrobe from the hanger. Here you go—refreshed!

Stepping out of the bathroom clad in nothing but the bath robe and then, I saw it, right there on the bed, my escape from this prison—a gun. This was my chance and I had to take it.

Was I really ready to shoot the dark lord? But I didn't think much further, so I grabbed it, it felt heavy and real. I aimed it at the mirror, closing my eyes, imagining it was the dark lord I was aiming at.
