CHAPTER 4

When Veria arrived in vampire territory, she was surprised by the town's silence; there were no vampires to be found; she asked her knight and said,

"How come this territory is so quiet and devoid of vampires?" "I thought the land was at peace with Teria,"

The knight trembles and flees, leaving Veria alone and enraged at the knight. Then Veria heard a whisper calling her young princess, saying,

"Down here, young princess, get down, the vampires are not who they appear to be."

The princess heard the voice and tracked it down to where it came from before being dragged underground. The princess was taken aback by the sudden action, and the vampire explained to Veria,

"Princess, the vampires are not who they appear to be; we need your assistance; many of us vampires have hidden from those evil monsters."

Veria responded,

"What kind of monsters?"

The vampire told the story and explained everything.

"It was a very dark beautiful day, me and my sister were just playing outside, and enjoying the foods selling by the vendor, we eat human foods now, because we control our thirst, then we saw a light from the city, then a dark fog came in, there were three monsters approaching, one was a woman and was singing a song, then two men, I spread the fog and everyone I saw fell asleep, and then my sister lay down and I tried to wake her up, and she bit me, and she turned into a real bloodthirsty monster, and all humans fled, and I ran as fast as I could from the fog, and I hid in this hole, hoping no one would see us."

Veria was shocked by the vampire's story, she was perplexed, she had no idea what to do, but then she heard a sound, a very sweet song, it was getting closer to Veria and the vampire.

Veria saw the vampire turning into a beast, the sound got closer, Veria gets hallucinations, Veria told the vampire to cover their ears, then Veria's eyes were shocked, the sound was already on the top of their heads, A monster pulled her with chains, The vampire turned into a hideous beast, Veria screamed "Nooooo!!!" while she felt pain in the chains.

Veria saw a woman, a vampire woman, beside the beast, who drew her into the underground, Veria resisted the chains, then Veria saw the woman's eyes, the woman spoke to Veria, Veria smelled something familiar, and she heard her voice say,

"Oh Veria my darling, it's so nice to meet you, it's been so long darling, hahaha, should I eat you or keep you for a while, you're the king's daughter, malice will need you."

Veria recognized the voice, but the woman's face was different, and she abruptly said to her,

"Aunt Amelia?" I inquired of the woman, wondering if she was her aunt Amelia.

The woman laughed and told Veria,

"You don't recognize me darling? Your mother is already dead, oh wait, did malice kill her?" Aunt Amelia laughs and speaks to Veria, "Veria my darling, do you want to be a vampire? Your aunt is already a vampire, malice can even give you power, see this power darling? you will have this if you join us, just join us darling Veria,"

Veria aggressively said no to her aunt and suddenly someone cut the chains tied to Veria with its sharp dagger, it cut the two beasts of her aunt and wound it's body and head leaving it unconscious, it was a speed as light that was very fast, then Veria saw the one who cut it, the vampire from before, the vampire who was with Veria, the vampire drips blood from his mouth and Veria felt glad that the vampire saved her from the beasts of her aunt, Her aunt suddenly sung a song while the beasts was still unconscious, Veria grabs the chain she ties her aunt with and pulls it, punching her right in the face, her aunt suddenly became unconscious, then a sudden noise was heard from the town, a noise of thirst of vampires marching right into Veria.

The vampire who was with Veria reappears and tells her,

"My princess, we should go to the dark castle; there, we will be safe from the vampires who your aunt turned into monsters."

Veria abruptly inquires,

"How did you get turned? I saw you there."

The vampire responded,

"Princess, I have the ability to read and manipulate people's minds; my mother was a psychic witch who gave up her sorcery magic to live with my vampire father."

The vampire converses with Veria in her mind,

"Princess, can you hear me? I never introduced myself before, my name is Vonn, after my sister was turned, I was a coward, now a princess before me has come, I hope you will fight us, I will find the others now,"

Then Veria responded,

"Vonn, fight with me until this war is over, then let's get your sister back, my aunt will get her consciousness back, her power comes from malice, so we will stop malice to stop this war that we are fighting, but first Vonn, help me find a way to fix this, like how vampires first control their thirst and eat human eat."

Vonn agrees with the princess and obeys her command, Vonn runs and searches for the others, he passes by her sister as she saw her, a white eyed monster with sharp and long fangs, Veria grabs the chain and ties her aunt, and she suddenly runs to the dark castle so they can devise a plan to bring the vampires back into their right mind.

Veria runs as fast as she can, skipping all the vampires who have turned into monsters, she arrives at the castle, she opens the door and closes it directly so no one can go inside, she feels shivers entering the castle, she feels strange about the castle's quietness, then blood drops on her hand, she looks up into the ceiling and sees a very big beast, with its saliva drooling, Veria screams.

What will Vonn and Veria stand for on their next journey?
