CHAPTER IV

Monday mornings were kind of crazy at the household with a lot of chores. Thanks to the timetable Levon had drawn a few years back, everyone knew what they had to do.

Levon had never felt so emotionally fine even after a few hours of sleep. After Blair had left with Tim last night, she found herself void of sleep. Her mind kept flashing back to their night, his eyes, his smile. She would be damned if she wasn't thinking of the same things this morning.

She was attracted to Blair. That is the only conclusion she ended up with. Blair was really hot and with his sense of humour, he had her really intrigued. It had been so long since she felt like that about someone.

Everything felt somehow new. What was she going to do for her growing attraction to a person who was only short term?

During lunch, she had agreed to meet up with Whitney.

"I missed you." Whitney smiled.

"Missed you too."

"You texted me about a guy Von." Whitney exclaims loudly. "Shush, for God's sake Whitney." Levon reprimanded.

"I am curious. It has been long since we talked about boys and by that I mean boys in your life." Whitney squealed excited. Levon rolled her eyes. It had been really that long.

"Calm down Whit. Oh God!" Levon scolded. "Whatever. You better start opening that mouth of yours. I can't wait to hear about prince charming."

"He was a client. He just moved into town to visit his parents."

"Oh my God!"

"Gosh, keep calm." Levon scowled at her friend.

Levon narrates to her the whole encounter even the one of Scar till the bar.

"Hold on. Did you take a guy to our favourite bar?" Whitney raised a brow at her. She nodded with a frown. "Jesus! I am so proud of you Von." Whitney grinned. Levon's cheeks turned red.

"Oh My God! Tell me you kissed at least." Whitney demanded loudly earning them a few curious stares from their neighbors.

"Christ Whitney! Can you keep your voice low." Levon seethed.

"Tell me then if you guys kissed." she patiently stared.

"No. We did not kiss. What do you take me for? It isn't like.."

"Oh my God!"

Whitney cut her off with a loud Yelp looking at something behind her head. "What?"

"Don't turn around but there is this devilishly handsome guy who just entered." Whitney gaped. Levon was curious now. Who was this guy who had her friend blushing in a second?

Levon slowly turned to see for herself who the person was and as soon as her eyes laid on the culprit, her heart thumped.

"Jesus!"

"I told you he was hot and sexy."

That is when her mind registered what was really going on. She quickly turned around before he caught her stare to get her friend's attention.

"Whit, Whitney." she whisper yelled. Whitney hummed her eyes still on him.

"That's the guy." Levon said.

"What?" Whitney frowned now looking at her. "The guy I was telling you about. He is the one." she murmured.

"What!" Whitney widened her eyes surprised before looking back at Blair.

"I just hope he didn't see me." Levon huffed

"Too late." Whitney said.

"He's walking towards us if I am not mistaken." Whitney added. Her heart did a double flip. Her palms felt sweaty suddenly and was it her or the room had grown hotter in a matter of seconds.

"Levon."

There it was. His baritone sexy voice echoed in her ears. The number of curses she said in seconds before she slowly turned.

"I thought I was mistaken." Blair smiled at her. There in that moment she felt hotter.

"Blair. Hey." Levon said awkwardly.

"I came to have lunch with Tim and I was sure I spotted you." he said warmly.

He stared right into her eyes and she only wished he couldn't read through her. Someone cleared their voice beside breaking the intense gaze.

"Blair, this is my best friend Whitney." Levon murmured.

"Nice to meet you Whitney." Blair smiled.

"The pleasure is mine. " Whitney replied a smirk on her face. Levon knew that smirk meant trouble and she prayed Whitney wouldn't open her mouth.

"While I would like to stay longer, I have to go. Tim is waiting. See you around then ladies." he said.

"Yeah." Levon replied.

"OMG! What was that?" Whitney curiously interrogated.

"Nothing." Levon quickly denied.

"Why didn't you tell me this guy you were talking about is a fine piece of art?" Whitney muttered.

"Because I knew you were going to act like you are doing right now." she rolled her eyes.

"You like him, don't you?" Whitney asked. "I don't know. I don't want to use that word yet." Levon sighs.

"He seems like a really good guy to me." Whitney said.

"And that is not good." she stares.

"He is a Ford. We are completely from different worlds. He is also staying for a while. I don't need my heart entagled in heartaches when he leaves. " she explains.

"I understand Von. You don't have to do anything you don't feel like at the moment." Whitney advises. And she had a point.

"By the way do you know if he has a brother?" Whitney smirked.

"Whit!" Levon exclaims. Whitney chuckles and she follows along.

*********

It was twilight outside by the time Levon walked home. She was used to walking the stretch since their home wasn't far away from the garage despite how dangerous everyone complained about the streets.

So when she felt someone following her from behind, she left her instincts take over.

"Ouch!" The culprit cried in pain. Levon was surprised to find who the person that was sneaking on her was.

"Blair?" she raised a brow at him. "My hand." he muttered with a croaked voice. Levon immediately let him go. "Didn't they teach you not to sneak up on people?" Levon scolded.

"I am sorry. I wanted to talk to you. I didn't know when you could leave the garage so I waited till you got off." Blair murmured still clutching onto his arm. Levon stared at him surprised.

Did he do that for her? How stupid could this guy be? "You snuck up on me and word on the street that it is dangerous."

"I am really sorry again." he apologized. "I am sorry about your arm too." she said.

"It is fine. It is my fault." he waved her apology off. "You said you wanted to talk to me." she acknowledged. "Right."

Before Blair could say another word, she pulled him away from the street to the alley. Blair looked dazed. To Levon, this felt like a good idea. No one would see them to spread any rumour. Only God knows how the streets have eyes.

However as soon as they reached the narrow alley, she realised the mistake she had made. Apart from its narrowness, it was dim lit by the street light. She was pressed up against him and the realization made her stomach flip.

"You do realize this is a bad idea." Blair muttered. She hadn't really fully recovered from the contact until his breath fanned her face rising goosebumps all over her body.

He was toatally right on that bit she wasn't about to risk anything right then. "Which means you should probably start talking." she demanded. His cologne wafting into her nose was driving her crazy. It was impossible for someone to smell that good. Something citrusy and fresh and so Blair if that was even possible.

Blair leaned in closer to her ear that she could feel his presence everywhere near her. They stood that for a while and if he was working on driving her crazy, it was working. His presence and the anticipation was killing her.

"Blair?" she whispered.

"I missed you."

Three goddamn words had her heart going into a frenzy. She had missed him too.

"I've been thinking of you the whole damn day." Blair whispered in her ear. Levon was left on wobbly legs from his sentences. She wished she could say out loud that she did too but she remained quiet taking short breaths to stop the butterflies erupting in her stomach.

"Your cute smile, your soft luscious lips, those hypnotizing eyes. I couldn't get you out of my mind Levon."

At this moment, she needed a break before she got some damage on her stomach and heart. Why was he saying all the right things? The closeness made it even worse.

"Are you going to say anything?"

That time he was staring into her eyes when she Rose hers up. What did he want her to say? She was literally speechless from his confessions.

"Do you know what I have been thinking about to do since I saw you get off your bike?" he asked his eyes still zeroed on hers. Let it not be what she was thinking. It is not that she was opposed to the idea. It just scared the hell out of her.

Levon nodded her head in answer.

"I think it would be better if I showed you in actions." Blair wasted no time lowering his lips to hers.

Shock! When the shock wore off, she couldn't believe she was kissing back the same person she had promised herself to stir clear off. The sparks were flowing through her body like a plug connected to a curcuit.

His lips felt so nice against hers so when he tore away, she couldn't help but whimper at the loss. She could have sworn this was the last thing she wanted to do but now she had done it, she wanted more. Fuck.

"That is what I have been thinking about." he grinned. "I don't know what to say about that." Levon muttered.

"That good?" Blair teased with a wider grin. "I am not going to feed you ego now Blair." she rolled her eyes.

"You could rate it atleast." he continued. "No freaking way." Levon stepped out of the alley. She needed to create space between her and him for the mean time. She wasn't surprised when Blair followed her

"What are you doing?" she narrowed her gaze at her. "What does it look like? I am walking you home. You are the one who said it was dangerous." he answered like it was the most beautiful thing to say.

"Says the guy whose ass got kicked by me." Levon scoffed.

"FYI, you caught me unprepared." Blair caught up with her.

"Whatever. You should go home Blair. It is really getting late."

"Are you chasing me? That is what it feels like." he raised a brow at him.

"Bl..."

"Alright. I will leave you on condition you give me your number." he proposed. "No." Levon said immediately. "I will have to walk you home now. I am sure you brothers would love to see my face."

Levon knew Blair was teasing her but out of all people, she didn't want what her brothers would say about Blair and her. It would be total chaos.

"Okay. Give me your phone." she asked impatiently.

"I knew that worked magic." Blair smirked as he handed her his phone. It was only simple. Give him her number and he would leave her alone.

"There. Done." Levon handed it back to her. "Now will you please go." she begged.

"Your wish is my command. Remember to pick up when I call." Blair did the call sign with his fingers on his ear before he jogged in the opposite direction away from her.

What trouble had she gotten herself into? Of course, the odot was going to call her. And she knew no part of her was even angry about that if not excited.
