[CAIUS' HOUSE]

Caius sat on the sofa reading from the newspaper about the Hell Devils' new attack and the death of the Viren's. Lorraine was staring at something on her phone. Bonnie barged in and stood in front of her father. She crossed her arms over her chest.

"Dad, who's Ixora Castellan?" Bonnie asked.

Caius sighed and dropped the newspaper, but he ignored her.

"I'm talking to you, Dad," she snapped.

"Show some respect, Bonnie, I'm still your father," Caius cautioned.

"Yeah, whatever, just tell me who the hell is Ixora Castellan?" she asked again.

"You've never cared about anyone but yourself and Drexton. What changed? Caius asked.

"I don't give a damn about her. I just want to know how close she is to Drexton, and why he stared at her when I went to visit him in his office," Bonnie frowned as the incident resurfaced in her head.

Lorraine looked up from her phone when she heard Bonnie's last statement.

[BOMA RIVER]Miz adjusted his face cap, lowering his head as he stared at the boat. Lorraine said a boat would be waiting for him, and this was the only boat in sight, which meant it was for him.It was 2:00 am, and he had to leave the city tonight else Drexton might come after him. He climbed onto the boat, ready to sit, when his eyes caught the captain. The captain was dressed in all black, completely different from a captain's uniform. But this was illegal transportation, which meant the captain was a random person. The captain hadn't said a word, and his back was to him. He couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right. His presence wasn't acknowledged by the captain."Were you sent by..." The rest of the words hung in his throat when the person turned to him.All his blood ran cold as he witnessed the dress code of the person—a familiar dress code known by almost everyone in the city of New York—HELL DEVILS'.He swallowed, seeing the person hitting a baton in his hand.

[JOANNA'S HOUSE]Joanna opened the door and was shocked to see Ixora at the front door. "Xora, you're here," she said, unbelievably."Can I come in?""Do you even have to ask?" She shifted from the door, letting her in.She closed the door."You should sit. I'd go get you something to eat," Joanna said, and wanted to leave when Ixora stopped her."No," Ixora smiled. "You don't have to worry. I'm fine." Joanna sat down. "I saw the news. Hope you aren't hurt?"Ixora shook her head."Were you out of the mall before the fire started, or..." Joanna trailed.Ixora nodded, confirming Joanna's suspicion. "And he's the reason why I'm here.""What happened?" Joanna asked."I don't just understand him. If he hates me, why does he keep on saving me? You know he was badly injured, and he got the injury while trying to save me," she exhaled softly. If confusion were a person, then that would have been her. The harder she tries to understand him, the more confused she gets, and she feels her brain

All eyes widened, including the inspector. "I can get you arrested for laying your hand on a man in a uniform." No doubt he was annoyed by the slap."And, I don't care. Find my daughter, or else, I'd strip you of your uniform," Georgia said, her voice leaving no room for threats.Nelly held her arm. "Don't make it worse, Aunt."Georgia glared at the Inspector before storming off.James faced the inspector. "I'm sorry. She's worried about her daughter."The inspector nodded. "It's okay." His eyes saw a pair of pliers on the floor. In the blink of an eye, he was already in front of the pliers."What are you thinking?" Nelly asked behind him.He took out a handkerchief from his pocket and used it to pick up the pliers. "This..." he trailed. "In a mall," he added.Nelly's eyes were fixed on the pliers. "Are you trying to say the fire wasn't an accident?"He shook his head. "It might have been from the electricians. But... forget it. I will resume the search," he said, and left before Nell

Drexton's knuckles whitened around the steering wheel, the leather groaning beneath his grip. His eyes were focused on the road, and his jaw was clenched tightly. He glanced at his phone to see that Ixora hadn't answered her calls, which meant she was still at the mall. Ixora was okay when he last saw her. Nothing should happen to her. She has no right to burn nor to die. She should burn at his hands. Only he has that right. His eyes darkened as he stepped on the brakes, reaching the 100-speed limit. The car drove at full speed, smashing into the billboard. To avoid accidents, other cars crashed into walls and stores. The road soon became filled with chaos. Wind and smoke slapped his face.Drexton's eyes stayed focused on the road, hardening his muscles on the wheels. Each thought about the fire spreading fast, and Ixora getting trapped in that mall, made his feet harder on the brakes. If the limits could go farther than 100, they would have.Soon, Drexton began hearing the police

Ixora's car screeched to a halt when she arrived at KBK Mall. She was there to do her monthly shopping. She always does it once a month. She would have done it a long time ago if not for the person who tried to rape her.She had thought about asking Nelly to accompany her, but changed her mind. She was well aware that Drexton would be in the office, so he wouldn't trouble her.As for Blake, he did reply to her text, saying he was not angry. She only stopped pressuring him when he assured her that he wasn't angry. She reached the automatic door, but stopped feeling as if someone was watching her. She looked back but saw no one."Did he follow me here?" she thought, entering the mall. The door automatically closed behind her. From the shadows, a person tapped on his AirPods."She just entered KBK mall," he said, staring at the mall's name."Good. Finish her."He nodded, disconnecting the communication. He walked closer to the mall, thinking of ways he'd end her.He drew out a gun from

[DREXTON'S HOUSE]Dark room, heat oozing from the flame filling the room. A flame, the very same flame he had vowed not to let quench. Same one that had been burning for ten years.Drexton stood near the burning flame, his eyes fixed on the burning flame. The fire illuminated in his emotionless eyes. He was fueling the fire, and as he added more fuel, the fire burned. As he stared at the fire, his mind revolved around Ixora. Each piece of fuel poured into the fire was a gentle reminder of Blake's face at the restaurant and at Ixora's house.Did Blake think he had forgotten the punch? He does not forget things, and punching Blake back was something he'd never do. He felt satisfied seeing Blake running around for her, and the tears—a part he wouldn't miss. He had watched everything, including the lies Ixora told.He let the fuel gallon slip into the fire. He picked up Ixora's picture and raised it above the fire. Her bratty attitude reeling back into his mind. "Pervert. Man whore. Obs
