The streetlights shone brightly on the streets. The night ambiance was cool, and the gentle breeze slapped Nelly's skin softly.

Nelly had a smile plastered on her face as she took a night stroll. She had decided to walk on foot. The driver left with her car. She'd call him if anything went wrong. It had been a long time since she had come to New York. She missed the city so much. She would have come back a long time ago, but because of something bad, she had to stay with her mother.

She reached a pet shop and saw the cats meowing softly at her. She had always been a lover of cats. She wanted to enter the shop, but the sound of the cricket was a reminder that it was late.

She turned and made to continue walking when a car drove past her, splashing mud all over her body.

"What the!" Nelly yelled, taking off her glasses since the mud splashed on the lenses.

The car abruptly stopped, without applying the brakes.

Nelly put on her glasses and walked to the car.
