Sean's POV

I stood on Mia's porch, my heart pounding with a mixture of desperation and determination. My brothers had sent me because I was the only one she might actually listen to—the only one she showed any mercy toward since my recent poisoning.

She has to listen to me. She has to understand the danger she's in.

But how do I make her see the truth without revealing everything we've been hiding?

When she opened the door, her expression immediately shifted from neutral to annoyed. I couldn't blame her, but it still cut deep.

She looks at me like I'm a disease she wants to avoid. I deserve that, but it doesn't make it hurt less.

"What do you want, Sean?" she asked, her voice sharp with irritation.

Straight to the point. No warmth, no concern for my health. Just cold dismissal.

"I need to talk to you," I said, trying to keep my voice calm despite the urgency clawing at my chest. "It's about Liam."
