"Uhhh?" Craig looked dumfounded. "You know how much I hate doing dishes Rora especially washing pots"
"I see you aren't ready yet, I'm going then" Aurora said and began walking away.
"No no... I will do the dishes, I will make sure the pots are sparkling Don't do this to me Rora" Craig ran after her.
Aurora gave a lposided smile and winked. "Good, that's why you're my boy" she replied and Craig frowned but quickly shrugged it off.
As long as she does what she promised then he could be her boy for now and do anything she wants him to do.
He can't afford to lose that cute dude.
"I still can't believe I got a job and I'll be resuming tomorrow" Aurora muttered with a small smile.
"I told you, You just have to keep pushing till you get what you want" Craig said and Aurora chuckled.
"You just have to push till you get what you want yen yen yen!!!! Motivational speaker, have you gotten what you want ever since you started pushing? You are still in this slum" Aurora taunted jokingly.
Craig raised his hands to hit her and she ran out, but Craig being Craig, he must not allow her go free without hitting her head so he pursued her.
They kept running pursuing each other till they got to Aurora's house. "Damn Craig, you are so wicked, can't you just forget what I said for a minute" she said breathing heavily.
"Why would I when your big head needs hitting to make it small" he said hitting her head in satisfaction while also breathing heavily.
"Aaahhh!!! Aurora rubbed her head. I'm so tired and exhausted, we really did ran that much distance? Wow I'm such a fast runner and you couldn't even catch me despite being the male, shame on you" she taunted bringing out her tongue.
"I just wanted to let you go today so dont even let it get into your head because the next time to try to belittle me, hehehehe you won't know what I would do to you" Craig mumbled and Aurora rolled her eyes.
"It will only be happening in your dream, you really underestimated my powers Craig, don't worry someday you would have a taste of my medicine" she said and Craig burst out laughing.
"Your mouth are filled with the impossible Rora, get off my way let me go greet Aunt before I change my mind and flex my muscles on you" Craig joked feigning seriousness making Aurora run out of the doorstep into the house.
"Mama!!!" She screamed calling out her mother who came rushing from the backyard to see what was the problem was.
Aurora jumped on her when she came in smiling widely, making her mother surprised. Rebecca glanced at Craig who was also smiling widely.
"Guess what Mama?" Aurora asked hugging her mother's waist in a tight hug.
Her mother smiled looking at her daughter, it has been a long time since she saw a genuine smile and happiness on her daughter's face, whatever that had happened must be a very good news.
"Don't stress yourself playing Rora's guessing games Aunt, she got a job at a new wine bar down the other next street" Craig chipped coming out with a cup of water to drink.
"Aaarrrgh!!! You dirty head, how could you ruin my surprise" Aurora screamed at him running towards the unconcerned looking Craig who was busy drinking his water.
He suddenly heard a yell and looked down from his cup of water only to see an enraged girl coming at him.
"Shit" he mumbled and drop the cup, turn around and fled for his dear life like a bolt of lightening.
"I will get you soon" Aurora screamed from the door when she couldn't get hold of him.
"Calm down Rora, you were still going to tell me anyways so isn't it the same with him saying it" Said Sarah; Aurora's mother.
"No, it will never be the same with the way I wanted to put it. That big head has spoilt my surprise plan and I don't mind him being the architect of me getting the job, I'll still beat him for spoiling my plans" Aurora fumed.
"I'm really surprised baby so you don't have to get mad at your best friend, finally you got a job and I am super excited for you, come here" her mother cooed and she dolefully walked into her embrace still sucking.
Can't believe you will start working tomorrow after all these years of staying idle and looking for a job, you finally found one, now we could boost of a two squared meal" her mother said sniffing back her tears.
"Yeah, and I can be able to be pay Maya's fees and save for your business, I also planned on us moving out of this slum" Aurora said and her mother's eyes widened.
"What do you mean Rora? How much will you get paid that you planned on doing all these you mentioned? Do you think you are going for an office job?" Sarah asked trying hard to hold back her laugh but she just couldn't do she ended up laughing so hard.
Her daughter won't seize to amaze her, she can't believe Aurora planned on paying her sister's fees, opening a business for her and taking them out of the slum all on a meagre salary paid to a server.
"Don't laugh mother, you will see it with your eyes, I have so many plans which would be executed once I started working" she said putting on a convincing face which further made her mother laugh more.
Aurora sighed watching her mother laugh at her, if only she knows what she does to bring back food everyday, she wouldn't laugh rather she would rejoice on the opportunity facing her.
She knew she would make a lot of money out of people from that wine bar and her mother wouldn't just understand it.
She just ignored her and climbed up the almost broken stairs into her small room to prepare for her work.
Next Day...Waking up to remember she was meant to start work today, Aurora sprang up and took her toiletries, and ran down from her room to the bathroom they use which was outside the house. She quickly took a bucket and ran to the little water wall at the back of their house and fetched water before rushing back to take her bath. She rummage through her bag which contained a few clothes that are worn out, looking for a suitable one to wear on her first day of work. After searching for a while and about to give up, she finally stumbled upon jeans that were faded a bit and a black polo that was quite bigger than her size. She dried her body and applied her body butter. It was cheap but she doesn't mind, her skin was great and she doesn't need so much to care for it.Putting on the cloth, she folded the hem of the polo and tied it,
They got into the cafeteria and Aurora ordered a burger and juice while Jenny ordered hers."Let's go sit over there" Jenny pointed to a free table and Aurora nodded following her over to the table. She settled down on the plastic chair and uncorked her mineral, taking a bite from the burger, she closed her eyes to relish the heavenly taste."Are you going to be okay with just that or would you mind joining in my pasta?" Jenny asked pointing at her plate of pasta which aroma was wafting through Aurora's nose.Pasta has been her favorite meal ever since she was a kid but she needed to save so she had long stopped buying food other than snacks and juices from outside and she's not a person who would share food with someone especially when she isn't yet familiar with the person. She looked down to the pasta which was calling on her to devour, swallo
They got to the school and Aurora sighted her sister standing with a boy who looks younger than her and smaller."Maya" she called the attention of her little sister who turned alongside the boy she was sitting with."Oh, that's your sister? She's so beautiful and the boy is my kid brother" Jenny said getting more happier.Rora's sister knows her brother and they seemed to be friends too."Ooh..." Aurora drawled waiting for the kids to get to them."Big sister" Maya squealed hugging her sister tightly as she got to her, Aurora carried her up and spun her around further increasing the girl's happy giggles.Jenny stares on, her eyes widening as she stares at her colleague. She never knew Aurora could be a playful type and she even smiled. Her smiles are so beautiful and she wonders why she acts
Aurora got to her room and banged the door before Craig could enter."Really Rora?" Craig muttered from outside the door rubbing his head where the door had hit him."Yes, go away since you are not ready to stop talking about useless things, you might as well go home and sleep or get yourself a wolf if you so badly want one" Aurora yelled going towards her bed to lay down. She was exhausted and doesn't need any more disturbances. Big Mandy had already caused her a lot of stress and right now she only needed a long deep sleep.Hours later, Aurora climbed down the stairs after sleeping for hours to see Craig still around. She shoot up her brows and walked towards him as he lay on the only couch in their sitting room operating his phone."You are still around Craig? Aren't you going to work today?" She asked sitting down on the
"Sit here and wait for me, Do not wander off cos I won't look for you, I will be quick" Aurora suddenly muttered hastily moving forward without waiting for him to reply.Craig sighed and nodded then sat on a pavement praying for her not to get caught. He doesn't still understand why she still had to do this when she had gotten a job."I hope you achieve your desires so you could drop this bad attitude of yours, Rora, if only you would listen to me and accept who you really are, I'm sure everything will turn out good for you" He muttered to himself, his eyes searching around for where she could be.Finally sighting her walking behind a man on a leather jacket, he sighed knowing she was about to take out his wallet. He didn't see her do it but he knew she had taken it out because she had moved away from him as swiftly as she came.He waited for her
"So you really skipped work just because of that man Craig? What was that his name again?" Aurora asked her best friend as they both walked home. She couldn't believe Craig would refuse to go to his workplace when his shift started just because the dude from the other day finally gave him a chance."What would you have me do then? I waited for him throughout the morning hours and when it was time for me to go, he appeared and actually sat before me, and you think I'll throw away every effort just for that coffee shop? Duh!" Craig rolled his eyes."You just amaze me Craig. Like how many more people would you roll with as you call it?" Aurora asked raising her brows as she stopped walking."Darling you have no idea what you're missing, if only you could have a taste of a man, you will not stand here to ask me such questions" Craig smiled."There's nothing to taste Craig... I do not
Ignoring Aliya and her meaningless rants as she called it, Aurora carefully tucked the money and wallet into her almost worn out bag separating the money from the wallet. She was going to sell the wallet because it looked very new and something that would cost a lot of money so there would be no way she would be throwing it away. She rested her back on the chilly wall, wondering how she would get out of the wine bar without anyone noticing her especially big Mandy whose eyes are always sharp like torchlight. And what if that man is still there? She couldn't help but panicked. He might find out his wallet was missing and maybe try to ask her. What ever happens, she could not stay inside the changing room for ever. She needs to get out as soon as possible.Aurora held tightly to her bag and was about w
She still couldn't believe a man with such amount in his wallet would be in a local slum. What could he be doing in a place like that. He was also on a mask Making it obvious he wasn't an ordinary man.Well whatever his reasons for coming to the slums was, I don't care. I'm grateful he came bacause if he didn't, then I wouldn't be this rich now" Aurora screamed out.She was shocked to see such amount in his wallet because the highest she has picked in a person's wallet was two thousand dollars and that was in the city and not in the slum."Twenty fvcking thousand dollars" she screamed again for the umpteenth time, still in disbelief."I wonder how Craig would react if I should disclose this information to him" Aurora muttered with a smirk thinking on how to break the news to her friend. He might probably run mad screaming on how da
