DAISY'S POV

Dexter crossed his arms at his chest with satisfaction gleaming in his cold eyes as he watched the terror on my face. "Leave us," he told the others.

"But Dexy," Kendra pouted. "I don't want to leave you with this crazy woman."

"I'll be fine, Kendra. Just go," Dexter hissed. "Dustin, take care of her until I'm done here and give our guest something to drink."

"Yes Alpha," Dustin nodded as he left us alone inside the Luna's quarters.

I was having an internal battle with myself. I would be a liar if I said Dexter's presence didn't affect me. It wasn't like it had been years since we had sex. As a matter of fact, it was only three days ago we were making love on this same carpet we were standing on. I remember how his eyes lit up when he came inside me, whispering sweet nothings in my ear as he rode out his high. Now he was looking at me like I was his worst enemy.

I cleared my throat. "What is this about me belonging to the Deathclaw pack? Don't play with me, Dexter."

He grunted. "Zordon Deathclaw has agreed to take you off my hands. Consider it mercy."

Off his hands? Was I some problem he wanted to get rid of? I took care of Dexter, not the other way around. I wanted to scream at him and curse his name, but I was more focused on the fact that he sold me, like I was a piece of land or some second-hand shoes he had outgrown.

"Did you hear me?" he hissed. "I said Zordon Deathclaw is now your master."

I swallowed hard. Zordon Deathclaw. His name alone sent shivers down my spine.

He was more than just an alpha. He was a legend, a nightmare spoken about in hushed whispers. He was ruthless, merciless and a beast among wolves.

Panic clawed at my throat. "You can't do this to me," I finally breathed out. "Just days ago you were inside me telling me how much you love me and will never let me go, and today you are admitting to have sold me to another alpha." I used my hand to slick back my blonde hair from my forehead. "I now realize all those promises you made to me were worth nothing. Did you ever really love me?"

Dexter's expression darkened. "I love Kendra now."

I shook my head. "You are a wicked man. I always knew that, but this, this is sinister. How could you treat me of all people like this? You will regret this, I promise you. You're gonna miss me and what I stood for and all the luck I brought into this pack."

He cackled. "Come to think of it, I will miss those sweet lips of yours," he hurried over to me. I backed away from him until I was braced up against the wall. He settled in front of me, using his thumb to part my lips. "Such a talented mouth," he sucked on his bottom lip. "And these fleshy boobs, I'm going to miss rubbing my cock in between them," he let out and I had to shift my head to the side to dodge his kiss. He stepped away from me. "It doesn't matter how hot you are. You are not worth my life and the safety of this pack," he spoke with so much bitterness. "For a moment, I thought that Alpha Zordon would kill me and take over this pack for the money I owed him, but he changed his mind after he saw you coming from the library this morning."

"He's here?" I gulped.

"He was here. After he saw you, he came back to my office and asked me who you were. In my possessive state, I told him you were my Luna out of habit," he explained. "So he offered me a deal I couldn't refuse. He wanted to pardon my debts if I sold you to him."

"Unbelievable," I laughed as I continued packing my things. "Good luck with that because I'm not going."

"Like hell you aren't," he grabbed my arm forcefully. "Daisy you don't have a say in this matter," he snarled. And with finality he said, "if you give me trouble with this, I will kill that omega family you sneak off to feed on your days off, and I will start with the sweet little old lady that bakes those delicious pies."

A harsh laugh tore from my lips, but it came out more like a sob. "You're bluffing."

"Test me," he challenged.

"So you're gonna give me to him. Just like that?" I scoffed. I was trying to steer his mind away from the Carver family. They were the poorest sets of omegas in this pack, and they didn't deserve to die because of me.

Dexter shrugged. "It's already been done. I've signed the contracts, and the money is already in my account. The Alpha left a few hours ago so he can prepare your quarters or dungeon or cage. Whatever he'll be keeping you in."

I shook my head wildly. No, this asshole didn't get to decide this for me! I looked toward the window, but before I could chuck through, a sharp hand gripped my arm.

Dexter sped over to me and chuckled. “I knew you'd try to escape. That's why I mindlinked the prison guards to come and get you."

"So I'm not only your property, but also your prisoner?"

His fingers were like steel shackles around me. He let out a soft, amused hum. I turned my head to look at his face and caught this faraway glint in his eyes. His wolf Moses was sad. I knew even if Dexter didn't love me, his wolf did.

"You'll always be mine, Daisy."

"But I'm not. You left me for your mate, and now you're selling me to some demon Alpha, and please don't let me spell it out for you. We both know what he'll do to me once I leave here."

"Shut up!" he roared. "I don't want to think about that."

Our gaze connected for a moment and I saw the regret in his eyes. "You don't want to do this. At least I can tell your wolf does not."

I touched his jaw and at that moment, the guards, along with Kendra and Beta Dustin, burst through the door.

"Alpha, I tried to stop her!" Dustin declared. Dexter quickly put some distance between us.

"I'm gone five minutes, and already you are trying to seduce my man! I almost feel sorry for you," she purred. "But then, you've always been too naïve. Thinking love would protect you." She leaned closer, her breath warm against my ear. "Power is what matters, Daisy. And you? You're just a pawn in this game. You think I don't know that Dexter loves you? Of course, I do. But an Alpha is strongest when he is mated to his destined mate, not some Luna wanna-be."

The guards held me now, and I thrashed against them.

"Dexter, please! Don't do this! You know how ruthless Zordon can be and what he does to the women he takes!"

Dexter's jaws tightened, but he didn't look at me. With his eyes closed, he said, "Take her away."

"No!" I screamed, kicking wildly as the guards dragged me toward the waiting SUV. The wind was icy against my tear-streaked face as the night swallowed my cries. I twisted my head around while they were dragging me away, desperate for one last look, one last chance for him to change his mind.

But Dexter had already turned his back to me with his arm wrapped around Kendra's waist and his lips brushing her temple as if I had never existed.

The car door slammed shut behind me, sealing my fate.

****

The drive was long and the silence suffocating. The guards sat like statues on either sides of me, their expressions unreadable and their grips firm whenever I so much as shifted. My wrists ached from the tight silver straps binding them together, burning my skin and leaving red marks. The gag in my mouth made it impossible to do more than let out muffled cries of fury.

The farther we drove, the darker the night became, as if the stars themselves refused to witness what awaited me.

By the time the SUV slowed, my heart was pounding so hard it drowned out everything else.

We had arrived.

Terror coiled inside me. I had heard the stories of Alpha Zordon, I had heard rumours of how wicked he was, and how he raped and tortured women, and now I guess it was my turn as I was being given to him like a discarded rag.

'He is no ordinary werewolf,' Patra, my wolf, stated. 'He is a warlord.'

'I know, Patra. I've heard all the tales about this man. He's a ruler who takes what he wants and destroys what he doesn't.'

And today I was his to either take or destroy. Neither my wolf nor I liked this thought at all.

The stranger that was at my pack earlier removed my shackles and freed my mouth. "Sorry," he let out. "But it was necessary. Come follow me."

My feet followed him while my eyes took in my surroundings, trying to identify an escape route, but they sealed the entire premises off with brick walls that seemed to be at least a hundred feet in the air. What the hell was this? The Great Wall of China?

I bumped into the man who was leading me and I realized he had stopped.

He opened two enormous varnished doors for me. He bowed and said, "Go on inside. Alpha Zordon awaits you."

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   165: Epilogue

DAISY'S POV The house was finally still. Zion was fast asleep in his own bed, curled up with his stuffed wolf tucked beneath one arm. He'd insisted he wasn't tired, then passed out mid-sentence while telling me his version of a bedtime story, which, naturally, included dragons, glowing swords, and a lot of heroic howling. Zahra, our six-month-old daughter, was tucked into her crib in the nursery. The faint sound of her gentle breaths echoed through the baby monitor beside the bed. She'd been fussy earlier, but a warm bottle and a lullaby had done the trick. Now her tiny hands rested over her heart, lips parted in a peaceful dream. For the first time in days, everything was quiet. And for the first time in weeks, we were alone. I stood at the foot of our bed wearing one of Zordon's oversized t-shirts. I had unbuttoned it just enough to tease. My body still hadn't completely returned to its pre-baby shape, not that I had I tummy, I was way curvier than I was before I got preg

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   164: Papa

ZORDON'S POVZion was supposed to be napping.Instead, he was orchestrating what I could only describe as a chicken rebellion, armed with a stick, a feather, and a very serious scowl.I stood on the porch, arms folded, watching as my son attempted to "train" the chicks like miniature soldiers. They, in turn, had formed a sort of panicked flock and were darting around in circles while he shouted instructions that made no sense whatsoever."Line up, soldiers!" he barked, tripping over his own feet and landing in the mud with a giggle.Daisy gave her running after him and came to stand behind me, she sighed lovingly. "You should probably stop him before he declares war on the garden."I didn't move. "He needs to learn about leadership.""Zordon."I glanced at her over my shoulder. She was glowing, in that maddeningly beautiful way she always did when she was pregnant. Her hair was braided back from her face, her dress loose and light, and one hand was settled protectively over her belly.

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   163: Three Years Later

DAISY'S POVThree Years LaterZion was barefoot again.I could hear his laughter before I saw him, high and wild, the kind that only belonged to children who had never known fear. His little legs darted through the tall grass like he belonged to it. Thick, dark curls tangled in the wind, dirt streaked across his cheeks, and a dandelion stem stuck behind one ear."Zion!" I called, not really trying to stop him.He spun once, arms flung wide like wings, before he took off running again this time toward the coop. A dozen chicks scattered in every direction, their little peeps rising in alarm.Zordon stood on the porch, arms crossed over his chest, a familiar scowl tugging at his mouth. "That boy is menace to our livestock."I stepped up beside him, one hand resting on the curve of my belly, the other slipping into his. "They adore him.""They fear him.""They follow him," I said, leaning my head against his shoulder. "There's a difference."Zordon snorted but didn't argue. Instead, he ki

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   162: Vision

DAISY'S POVA few nights later, the palace felt almost too quiet.Just the hush that comes when everyone else has gone to sleep, and you're left alone with your thoughts.Zordon lay beside me, already half-asleep. One arm was draped across me and our son, the weight of his hand warm and steady. He always slept that way now. Like he thought he could protect the baby even in dreams.I wasn't tired. Or maybe I was, but the exhaustion felt too big to settle. Like my body didn't know how to turn off yet. My brain kept replaying the day on a loop, our vows, the sound of the crowd, the gold circlet still pressing faintly into my forehead like it had left a mark.A crown. A child. A future I could barely begin to understand.Eventually, I drifted off. Not gradually. It was more like falling, like one blink and the world shifted beneath me.******I was standing in a field I'd never seen before.Moonlight poured from the sky like rain, so bright and clean it made everything shimmer. The grass

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   161: The Birth

DAISY'S POVThe forest had changed since the war, but only just.New green pushed up through old ash. Flowers bloomed where fire once scorched the earth. Trees whispered again, not in warning, just in welcome.Zordon and I walked hand in hand along the narrow path, the one we'd taken long ago when everything between us had been tension and doubt. Back then, I wasn't sure I believed in fate. I wasn't sure I believed in us.Now?His hand was warm in mine, steady and strong. My feet moved slower than they used to thanks to the weight I carried, but I didn't mind. The baby kicked every so often, reminding me that time was short. That soon, we'd be three."You're quiet," Zordon said softly, brushing a low-hanging branch out of my way."I'm thinking.""Dangerous."I gave him a sideways look, but I smiled. "What will we name him?"He paused. "I don't know. I thought you should do the honors, since you are the one who will birth him.""I see," I said, exhaling. The wind stirred through the le

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   160: The Ceremony

DAISY'S POVThree days after Zordon proposed, I stood at the edge of Mooncliff Summit, dressed in white and shaking in my boots.Well, technically I was barefoot. The seamstress had tried heels, but I had nearly broken my ankle so we settled on soft, woven sandals that I'd kicked off somewhere near the top of the cliff. My feet pressed into the warm stone now, grounding me in a way nothing else could.I kept my hands over my belly, partly out of instinct, partly because it helped me breathe. The baby was quiet this morning. Still and peaceful. Maybe he sensed the magnitude of today. Maybe he was waiting, just like the rest of the world.Thousands had gathered below. Wolves from every surviving pack. Elders. Witches. Seers. Even some humans who knew of our existence. People who had once hated each other now stood side by side. I wasn't sure if it was unity or just exhaustion, but either way, they came. They came to see us.To see me.I still couldn't wrap my head around it.Zordon stoo

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   159: The Proposal

DAISY'S POVThe morning after Luna Evelyn's visit arrived with golden sunlight and the smell of cinnamon drifting through the air.Zordon had already left the bed by the time I woke up. I stretched, my hand resting lightly on the curve of my belly. A quiet flutter reminded me that our little one was growing stronger every day.Slipping on a robe, I padded into the sunroom and stopped in my tracks.Zordon was there and he was shirtless, barefoot, and standing over a small table set for two on the balcony. Steam curled from two mugs. Plates of fruit, eggs, fresh bread, and that cinnamon I'd smelled were perfectly arranged. Wildflowers in a simple jar sat in the center."You cooked?" I asked, blinking in surprise. He shrugged. "I bribed someone to help. But I did stir the eggs."I laughed and moved toward him, kissing his cheek before sitting down.We ate slowly, talking about everything and nothing. For a while, it was just us again. No Luna Evelyn. No war. No titles."Come take a walk

  • STOLEN BY THE RUTHLESS ALPHA   158: The Crown’s Call

DAISY'S POVTwo months had passed since the war ended, yet the air still carried the scent of smoke and death. We had won. The bloodshed was over. But peace wasn't as quiet as I thought it would be. It pulsed beneath the surface like the earth was still bracing for another storm.Dexter's trial had finally ended. He sat alone in the depths of Pine Hollow, sealed away in a cell built for the worst of our kind. Silver-lined walls, enchanted locks, constant guard rotations. But the Council and the Pinewood people had chosen something far worse than death for him.He had been stripped of his wolf. The bond to the moon, the magic in his blood, the power that once made him Alpha, it was all gone. Just like that. No more shifting. No more heightened senses. No more pack. They carved the beast out of him and left only a man behind. And his sentence? To live as the man he truly was. Weak and cruel and hollow. Then I topped off his sentence by sending him to work in the very barracks he once se
