CHAPTER TWENTY

By dawn, I was teleported back to Arth. Mixed emotions churned through me as I went about my day activities. I returned home the night before at Connor's urging and I was glad I listened to him because my Father was about to search for me when I stepped into the house. Ignoring his questions, I sauntered to my room. 

Under Celeste's peering gaze, I recited all the basic laws in the Witching constitution until my voice grew hoarse and I could hear it in my head. Exhausted, I conjured that awful rejuvenating bar Mama Owen used to give me. After taking a bite, I felt my strength return.
