Going to work when Lila wasn't there seemed pointless. I didn't realize that she was the reason why I went to work until she wasn't there anymore.

Even if we had only gone for lunch a few times, I missed that as well. Light was the one at the office, sending me documents that I needed to sign, and filling in for me during the meetings. I couldn't help but increase his raise.

In as much as I needed the quiet that came from being at home, there was literally a banshee living with me.

“Another day of not going to work?” She asked, with her lips unturned in a smirk. I could t tell if it was a smirk or if it was pain.
