The clang of steel against steel rang like thunder across the battlefield, echoing beneath the violet twilight sky.

War cries rippled through the air, sharp and savage, as faeries and warriors cloaked in gleaming silver and cobalt armor clashed with the primal force of the werewolves—taller, broader, snarling, shifting between beasts and man.

Blades flashed. Arrows danced like fireflies. And the earth trembled with rage of ancient magic.

In the heart of it all, stood Alpha Don Ryker, his massive form soaked in blood and fury, golden eyes burning with defiance.

He is the Alpha of Dawn-shadow pack, he has led his warriors, through countless battles, but this one held more weight. This war was personal.

As Don drove his blade into a faerie soldiers chest a cry broke out through the cacophony—not one of war but one of life.

From the edge of the battlefield, within the protective circles of enchanted tents. A scream of labor pierced the air. A woman’s voice. Raw and painful.

——————

Inside the largest tents, lit by warm lights and scent of herbs, Princess Emerald, heir of Faerie kingdom, lay writhing in agony. Sweat beaded her fair skin as midwives rushed around her, their hands slick with blood and magic.

Her long glowing green hair stuck to her temples. Her cries of pain matched the rhythm

of the battle outside.

“She’s crowning.” One of the midwives shouted.

The Princess gritted her teeth, every contraction was war within herself. Her fingers clawed at the sheets, her eyes. The vibrant green of the forest in spring flickered upward.

“Don.” She whispered “Come back to me.”

——————

Outside, Don Ryker faced one of his greatest challenges yet.

Across from him, hovering inches above the ground was General Steven. Tall, sharp featured, his armor infused with obsidian and star-fire, his hands glowing with pure fae magic.

“You stole what was never yours. Mutt.” Steven spat. “The Princess. The child. Was meant for me.”

Don growled, lowering his stance. “She chose her fate. Your just bitter it wasn’t you.”

With a roar, Steven release a torrent of searing white lightening, magic that twisted through the air like a serpent.

Don leapt aside, the blast glazing his shoulder, searing through fur and flesh. He gritted his teeth through the pain. Rushing forward with terrifying speed, claws clashing, blade flashing.

Steven met him midair, a burst of energy flaring between them. They clashed to the ground with a thunderclap, Dons blade sparking over Steven’s enchanted shield.

The General drew his own sword etched with ancient runes, and the two clashed in a blur of motion.

Steel met magic.

Brute force met arcane precision.

And neither have ground.

——————

Back in the tent, a final cry of pain shattered the silence.

Then—the unmistakable wail of a new born.

The midwives gasped as the newborn emerged. She was beautiful, even in her first breaths— Raven black hair, soft fair skin, full pouty lips that trembled as she cried out to the world.

Princess Emerald sobbed reaching out weakly. “My daughter…. My little light.”

As the midwives cleaned the baby, Emerald placed a trembling hand on the baby’s chest. She whispered an ancient incantation in fae tongue, glowing green energy spiraling from her palm into the child’s body.

A protective blessing—her first and final gift.

She handed the baby to her trusted servant. A cloaked faerie woman with sharp eyes and a heart loyal beyond blood. Emerald said through tears

“Hide her. Protect her. The war will not end tonight.”

The servant bowed, wrapped the infant tightly, vanishing into the shadows of the forest, just as the camp exploded in fire and screams.

——————

Through the forest, the servant ran, branches clawing at her cloak. Behind her the sound of the chaos followed her like a curse.

In her arms, the baby cried with such force that the very trees seemed to shiver, their leaves trembling in response.

Deep in the woods, she met her ally—a rogue wolf, scarred and silent, with eyes that glowed like dying embers. Years ago he had saved her life. Tonight she repays him with trust.

“Take her.” The faerie said breathlessly “ Take her far beyond Reginald’s reach. Beyond the packs. Let her live.”

The rogue hesitated for only a moment before taking the child. Without a word he ran with the child faster than the wind itself, cradling the little one against his chest as her cries echoed through the dark woods.

——————

At the edge of the realm, the rogue breached the territory of the Supreme Alpha King. The most Feared werewolf in the Northern realms. Alarms blared. Horns sounded.

But the rogue didn’t stop.

He reached the hum eye cottage near the palace gates, where an old maid, wise and kind hearted answered his frantic knock.

She opened the door.

Without a word he placed the child into her arms, then handed her a small green glowing vial, that the servant gave him.

“She must never be found” he growled “ This will hide her true blood.”

The maid, sensing the urgency and the weight of fate, uncorked the vial and poured the glowing contents over the child’s head.

The green liquid hissed as it touched her skin. The infant shrieked and her form began to change.

Her Raven black hair, lightened into a shimmering gold, her full lips curled and reformed into a soft Cupid bow. Her skin remained fair, but now on her left wrist, a mark appeared. The intricate outline of a rose, tightly closed yet full of promise.

A symbol of what she was.

And what she would become.

As the maid carried the transformed child, the rogue disappeared into the night. Just as the Supreme Alpha’s guards descended.

And in that silence that followed—a new destiny began, hidden by magic, forged in war and whispered by the trees.

The child of wolf and fae that would one day awaken.

The First Hybrid.

The rose would soon bloom.

The palace halls were as grand and cold as Athena remembered.Days had passed since her release from the infirmary. The bruises had mostly faded, but the ache in her heart clung to her like a second skin. Mara had begged her not to return so soon, but the summons had come directly from the palace. There was work to be done. And she couldn’t afford to say no.She was no noble wolf. Just a wolf with a shattered bond and a fading heart. The Omegas quarters were tucked in the back of the estate, and Athena moved quietly through the halls, her head bowed, her cleaning uniform clinging to her newly healed form. The servants barely looked up, except for the whisperers that followed her like shadows.“Isn’t that the girl from the infirmary?”“ I heard Prince Lucian didn’t even visit her once.”“ Serves her right. Trying to steal Lady Helena’s place.”Athena kept walking. Her first take was to clean the king royal table in the main dining room. She worked quickly, her movements mechanical, unt

The sterile scent of antiseptic filled Athena’s nose as her eyes fluttered open under the soft glow of the infirmary lights. The rhythmic beeping of a heart monitor hummed beside her, steady and quiet. Her body ached, heavy like stone. Every breath burned. She shifted slightly and looked down, her right arm was tightly bandaged, and her leg elevated slightly, was wrapped in layers of white clear gauze. A tear slid from the corner of her eyes and fell silently on the hospital sheet. The memory slowly returned, jagged and cruel. The attack, the screaming, the blood. Her own voice calling out—“Lucian!”But he never came.Instead, as the fog had closed in around her, she remembered a silhouette.A man, tall and huge pulled her from the edge of death, but his face was a mystery. Before she could dwell longer, the door creaked open. A soft voiced nurse stepped in, clipboard in hand concern in eyes.“You’re awake.” She said gently, walking over. “How are you feeling dear?”Athena hesitated

The golden rays of the morning sun poured through the high windows of the royal palace, casting a warm glow across the grand marble staircase. Prince Lucian descended down the steps the fluid grace of a trained warrior, dressed in nothing but sport shorts, a black tank top clinging to his chiselers chest, and sleek black sneakers. A white towel dropped casually around his neck, and a water bottle swung from one hand. His jaw tense, his blue piercing eyes alert as the prince looked every inch of the Alpha he was born to be.He moved past the guards with a nod and broke into a light jog, weaving through the manicured palace gardens. As he ran, his dark hair tousled by the breeze, more than a few she wolves stopped their tasks to admire him, whispering and giggling as he passed. The admiration in their eyes was obvious, and not one of them hid it.From the rose beds nearby, Athena stood trimming the flowers with careful precision, her hands moving mechanically. Her eyes, however were

Prince Lucian stood at the center, towering and tense, his hands wrapped tightly around Athena’s waist. She struggled to get out of his grip, but it remained ironclad. Luca, Yde and Samuel stood watchful their expressions unreadable.“Let me go.” Athena snapped her voice low and angry.Lucian didn’t budge. She drew in a sharp breath and said calmly “ Why are you here, your highness? And why are you holding me like this, in my cottage?”Lucian’s jaw clenched. Without looking away from her, he gave a curt nod to his men. “Give us a moment.”Luca frowned hesitation swirling in his eyes“ Be quick. It’s late and if the King gets word of—““I know.” Lucian cut him off.The three warriors exited, the door creaking close behind them. Silence fell, broken by the soft hiss of the lamp and the sound of Athena’s sharp breaths. As soon as they were alone, Lucian stepped closer. Athena’s eyes widened and she turned her face instinctively as he leaned in. His lips brushed against her cheeks instea

“Are you hurt?” Lucian murmured his voice barely audible. His fingers gently brushed a strand of her hair from her cheek, his concern real. Too real.Athena blinked, startled by the softness of his tone. Before she could answer, another voice crackled through the silence like lightening.“Your touching her?”Helena.“She is a servant.” Helena hissed “An omega. An she was touching what was mine.”Lucian stood slowly, one hand still on Athena’s shoulder.“You pushed her.” She said voice low but simmering.“She touched you Lucian!” Helena snapped “what exactly was I supposed to do? Stand back and watch her paw at you like she had a right?”Then, he straightened and turned towards Helena. In two strides, he crossed the room and pulled Helena into a tight embrace. His strong arms wrapped around her with the practiced ease of a man performing a role.“You shouldn’t waste your energy on an omega.” He said gently, his chin resting against her hair. “Let alone lay your hands on anyone it’s ben

The clang of copper pots and the hiss of boiling water filled the palace kitchens long before dawn cracked the sky open. Smoke curled from the brick ovens, mixing with the glaze of honey glazed pheasants and the earthy aroma of roasted root vegetables.Athena stood at the far counter, sleeves rolled past her elbows, flour dusting her arms like snowflake. Her hands moved with practiced ease, kneading dough, chopping herbs, arranging golden pastries on ivory platters. “They say she’s even more beautiful now.”One maid whispered, cheeks flushed with excitement. “ Lady Helena. The chosen mate? Back from Russia, touched by the moon priest themselves.”Athena didn’t flinch, but her jaw tightened.“She’ll become queen soon.” Another maid chimed in wide eyed. “Even prince Lucian had dated her when they were in Russia, they were not only best friends but lovers as well.”In the corner, near the basket of wild roses meant for the banquet tables, Athena stood frozen, clutching a silver tray
