LILY BACK TO HOME TOWN

Lily excused herself and went to Jimmy’s place to pack since she had a plane to catch.  Jimmy assisted her in packing but they decided that she didn’t need to carry most of the clothes and that the clothes would be left in the closet, Jimmy had already allocated her space since she would soon be coming back either to visit or live in with Jimmy before the marriage. They had agreed that Jimmy after the board meeting was to come and visit her and then they would both go and visit Lily’s parents and ask for the parent's blessing for their wedding which plans were underway with Tina’s and Ken’s wedding although they were legally married through a civil wedding the family wanted a big wedding celebration and also to celebrate the double joy of having two boys who will be future King’s dynasty heir. Their grandfather had already planned for their future even before their parents had thought about it.

Lily was escorted to the airport by Jimmy who promised to come and visit her soon as they held the board of directors meeting he had to be present since he was going to be the vice president of the group of companies. They also talked of Lily thinking of relocating and Jimmy was capable of getting her a job in the organization so she should not worry about that. Lily who was working at her parent's firm said she had to consult them first and then talk about relocating which would be a bit tough since she was their only child by birth although they brought up Tina as their own and letting go would be tough. Tina knew her cousin's brother Jeremy was running the company effectively and he was more like a son to his parents. All she had to convince them is to accept her get married to the love of her life and settle down, what she didn’t know is that they had other plans for her to marry their best friend's son who was a spoiled kid and he was a drunkard and did drugs at the time and also the friends were emphasizing on marriage because they were getting bankrupt and needed money and since Lily was the only heir in her parent's company their son Jack would be around to run the company and in the process, they would embezzle huge amounts of money and they wouldn’t care if he dumped Lily but their main target was the cash they would acquire.

So when Jack’s parents went to visit Lily’s parents to engage their son to Lily their only daughter Lily's mother embraced the idea of her daughter getting married and was happy it would be her best friend’s son. She didn’t know the real intention behind the marriage proposal. Lily's mum was accepting mainly because she noticed since Tina got married to a wealthy family from the capital and her daughter Lily looked very lonely and it’s like she was envying her the way she talked about her. When her mother saw how lonely Lily looked and sounded she decided it was time to get her a husband to keep and what better choice than her godson whom he treated like a son they had grown up together and she needed also grandsons so if their kids got married as they had always decided with her best friend Nelly and her husband Jack senior it would be a better way to bold. They would become in-laws and their friendship would last forever or so Lily's mum thought. She was delighted that Tina was now married and settled in what seemed to be a responsible family and after the engagement of Lily to Jack Jnr he would go and visit the grandkids. Sally Lily's mum was happy because Tina had not let her down. She came depressed in her home and she welcomed her with open arms because her daughter had promised to protect her since her father was a lawyer. They talked to the child welfare who visited Uncle Tobias and his wife and said that Tina had found adoptive parents who will take care of her and if they disturb her in any way the child welfare society had accusations in an affidavit of how they mistreated the girl and also exploited her to be their slave and grabbed all her inheritance that the parents left her. When the child welfare was visited Sally and Joe Parker were present and they repeated if they disturb Tina they would not hesitate to revive the case. That is how Tina’s uncle Tobias and his wife stopped bothering Tina and she had peace of mind and was brought up happy and peaceful with their daughter Lily who protected her like he younger sister they had a strong bond and were inseparable until Tina got married to Ken.

Tina was a good girl very polite obedient and hand working, she wanted to create an impact in the future, and when she got the job at her friend's firm she normally talked highly of her performance and dedication until the company decided to reward her with two weeks’ vacation so that she could relax and not come to work not knowing that there she would meet the love of her life who was one of the directors of the new investment company and later turned out to be her adopted daughter husband. Sally was happy that now Tina had a family and knew for sure that the Kings family would take very good care of her and her baby twins. They had talked with her on a video call and looked happy motherhood had made her look grown up after a short time. They had also talked with the husband Ken who looked like a very responsible man and he invited them to come and visit their grandkids and give them their blessings. This made the Parkers very happy to see that Tina’s husband recognized them as her parents and planned to visit after Lily engaged with Jack Jnr. Sally thought that Lily “lacked” a husband which is why they did the matchmaking. She called Lily after she landed and got in her house and asked how the christening was and she replied fine excited then they discussed their dad Joe Parker and her mum said he is fine since he had been sick of late then Sally told her daughter is that she would be having some guests on Saturday for dinner so she was inviting her daughter to join them and please dress beautifully my girl. Okay, mum, I will dress I know I am Joe Parker’s daughter the famous family lawyer, Lily finished for her mum she knew where she was going. Then Lily said mum I might surprise you to be the Cinderella you have always wanted,” is that right?” The mum asked, " Yes, let me get the surprise, not you because I am buying a dress for you just in case you come dressed in your jeans as usual. Then they said bye to one another on the phone and the mummy said, let’s see who gets surprised more.

After Lily stopped talking to her mother she called Jimmy who luckily was from a meeting he was pleased to hear from her and said “Hello beautiful, I am so happy you called, I was stressed and missing you, at least now I can smile”. Lily smiled at him and said I missed you too. How’s everybody, Jimmy replied they are fine he had visited Ken’s residence and Tina and the boys are fine but they are growing up so fast. Lily said I miss them and more so Tina will call her later. Then Tina said, “I called you because I have a request to make”. Say my dear I am listening “My parents invited me to a dinner party on Saturday and I would love to be with you so that I can introduce you to them at the same time hence they would not be surprised to hear that I am getting married although they would, of course, come to learn of it when they go to visit the twins and Tina in the capital. “Is that so”, I would be delighted to meet them let me clear my schedule so that I can travel Thursday night spend Friday with you and part of Saturday then go to a party, and Sunday I can come back.
