CHAPTER 50
The sea is especially calm today. Seagulls arched over the sky, that is showering gentle warmth– or is it just Mike? He woke up next to a rag doll, submerged into a deep sleep with rhythmic calm breath– A rare occasion. He tiptoed out of the chalet, to the mansion for a coffee and some breakfast.
When he re-entered the room, Sarah had just woken up. White sheets beneath her crumpled into million geometrical lines. In one hand, she held the duvet dearly to her chest, hiding her newborn nakedness. Her legs crossed sideways and a bit parted. Hair swept to one side. Her eyes were still shut and she looked like she is possessed by a ghost.
“Good morning sweetheart…” his voice startled her and she looked up, hardly got a good look at him before shutting them back– bouncing between planets, perhaps.

A white bonded lorry parked next door. A young lady, busy giving out orders to the lorry driver, took notice of Sarah and threw her a smile. The wonderful smell of spices and some other ingredient concoction hit them hard when they opened the door. A gentle hum came along with the actual song playing in the background. Mike looked further behind to see her slowly moving her hip. It is her habit, only when she cooks. He lazily tossed his jacket to the sofa. Folding his sleeve to elbow height, he paced slow and steady towards the girl in a turquoise knee-length dress. Appointment notes with Dr. Ajay deprived little by little to almost none in Sarah’s calendar for months. Still, Mike does keep in contact with him every now and then.
