Chapter 37

Tyler’s POV

Jose seems weird.

He addresses me by Alpha instead of Ty or Jane. And he’s wearing jeans and a shirt when I told him to wear a suit.

“Let’s go hunting,” Jason patted me once on the shoulder. My eyes remained on the busy street, where the crescent moon brightens the dark heavens.

I trailed after Jason and Karlos after a minute, the latter in his wolf form; his fur is a cloak of shadows. We were crossing a deserted alley drenched in darkness when a car honked, stopping us in the middle of the street.

“I stopped by a car repair shop since I don’t know how to fix your midnight blue Porsche baby, Ty.”

I froze, coldness wrapped my body. Remus howled fiercely inside me. Before I could blink, Karlos was already sprinting on the opposite side. I remained pinned to the ground.

‘Elaine…’ My soul ached.

‘Elaine…’ A tear fell from my face, the nightly breeze wiping it away.
