“What are you going to do about the money?” Raphael asked again, leaning back into the plush seat, a satisfied smile playing on his lips as he exhaled a thin plume of smoke. I followed suit, letting out a calming breath as the rich aroma enveloped us. “I’ll find it,” I said, my confidence unwavering as I licked my lips and reclined back against the comforting leather, sinking into the moment. The car’s interior was quiet, save for the soft crackle of our cigarettes and the distant hum of the city outside. Raphael’s grin widened, and I could tell he had no doubt in my abilities—an understanding forged by our past experiences together. The thrill of the unknown ahead ignited a spark of exhilaration within me.
Raphael was my late Uncle James Mariano's son, my mother's brother, which makes him my cousin, his my best friend, second in command, and a skilled sharpshooter. He was only two years younger than I was. No one knew of his existence until his parents died, and my parents took him in. He was only ten years old then; I was twelve, and since then, we have been inseparable. I feel somewhat sorry for him. My parents are alive, and they give me their greatest legacy.
I am Alexander Antonio, the boss of the Italian Mafia and CEO of THE ANTONIO'S company.
The car soon stopped, and my door was opened by my guard. "Thank you, Sergio," I nodded as I stepped into the dark night. Sergio is my most loyal guard; he would take a bullet for me. I admire his skill, and I trust him with my life. Likewise, Raphael does too. He nodded back in response, his hand on the gun in his belt, looking around. I breathed in the cool air and smiled to myself.
“Oh shit,” Raphael muttered as he rubbed his neck and tried to arrange his hair perfectly. I looked at what he saw: some ladies were looking our way. “Just don't steal all the beautiful ladies tonight, Alex,” Raphael said.
“I smirked.” I had the looks and the money; women practically fell to their knees for a one-night stand with me. So when they offered me their bodies, who was I to reject? I like sex.
Entering the club, followed by Raphael, Sergio, and the other two guards, I noticed it was crowded. Moving to my VIP section, I nodded my head to Sergio; he knows what to do. I needed a quick fuck to clear my head. Raphael was already talking to a blonde girl on the dance floor.
Just then, a brunette caught my attention. She was sitting alone with about five empty shots in front of her. How the fuck did she maintain such long hair? She was wearing a very short red dress that looked like a second skin. Fuck that ass. my dick stirred, am hard, without even seeing her face.
I stood up to walk to her, right then Sergio came in with two ladies. “Boss, they’re here,” he said, looking at the ladies with cake-like makeup. “You can have them, Sergio,” I responded. I was more curious to see her face. “Boss, I thought you wanted to,” he said, cutting his sentence short. “I have changed my mind, Sergio. You can have them,” I responded.
“Damn; fuck that ass!” I turned to see Raphael staring at the brunette. “I thought you were talking to the blondie over there,” I said, looking at him with a dark look.
“Yeah. But I want this one,” he said.
“Don't go there, Raphael; she's mine tonight,” I said with authority.
“Yeah, yeah, you always get the hot ones. Do you know her?” he asked.
"I'm about to find out."
“See you when I see you,” he said, and with that, he was out of my sight.
I finally walked over to her and took a seat beside her. "Two shots of vodka," I addressed the guy behind the counter. "Sure thing, boss," he nodded and poured them out.
I placed one in front of her. She had her head bent down, looking at her phone. She took the vodka and drank it without turning to look at me
"So, what makes a beautiful lady to drink in a bar full of bad people alone?"That got her attention; she turned to look at me.
"Ah, fuck my life." If I was hard before, now I am painfully hard. She's fucking beautiful—the most beautiful woman I have ever seen.
"Are you a bad person?" she asked, looking at me with her beautiful brown eyes. I was so struck by her beauty that I was speechless. I have never been speechless in front of a lady before; I don't even know her name yet. I'm... I'm, hmmm, what the fuck? Now I'm stammering. Thank fuck Raphael and Sergio are not here; they would have laughed at their boss.
She's still looking at me, waiting for my reply.
What she said next made me go mute:
"Can we fuck?”
AUTHOR POV (ALEXANDER)The hillside remained frozen in silence. Only the crackling of dying flames and the steady hiss of the firefighters' hoses disturbed the stillness. Alexander Antonio remained on his knees beside the wreckage. His forehead rested against the twisted frame of the limousine. His shoulders still trembled with silent sobs. The wedding band he had planned to slip onto Emily's finger was still in the inside pocket of his tuxedo. Now it felt heavier than the weight of the world.A firefighter approached cautiously. His voice was soft, almost apologetic. "MR ANTONIO'S.." Alex didn't move. "We need to recover them." Nothing. The firefighter glanced helplessly toward Raphael. Raphael slowly walked forward, swallowing the lump in his throat. He crouched beside the man he had called his brother for most of his life. "Alex..."No response. "Brother..." Still nothing.Raphael closed his eyes for a moment before placing a trembling hand on Alex's shoulder."They deserve
AUTHOR POV (ALEXANDER ) A thick column of black smoke stained the bright blue sky long before they reached the scene. Alex's heart stopped. The smell reached them seconds later. Burning rubber, petrol, smoke, scorched metal. The SUVs screeched to a halt. Before the vehicle had fully stopped, Alex threw the door open and sprinted toward the smoke. "Alex!" Raphael shouted after him. Alex didn't slow down. didn't even look back. Branches lashed across his face. Twigs tore at his suit. His polished shoes sank into the soft earth as he forced his way through the dense bushes. Then... he saw it. Or rather... what remained of it. The elegant white limousine that had been carrying his bride was gone. In its place stood a twisted, blackened shell. The satin ribbons decorating the mirrors had burned away. The roof had collapsed inward. The doors were mangled beyond recognition. Smoke curled from the wreckage while exhausted firefighters continued spraying foam over the smoldering remains.
AUTHOR POV (ALEXANDER) The bells of the old Italian church rang softly across the countryside. Inside, sunlight streamed through the stained-glass windows, scattering brilliant colours across the polished marble floor. White roses and ivory lilies adorned every pew, their sweet fragrance filling the sanctuary. Guests chatted quietly, smiling as they waited for the ceremony to begin. At the altar stood Alexander Antonio. Immaculately dressed in a tailored black tuxedo, he looked every bit the powerful man the world knew him to be. But today... there was no coldness in his eyes. Only happiness. Only anticipation. Raphael adjusted Alex's tie with a smirk. "You've checked the doors at least fifty times." Alex didn't deny it. "I just want to see her." Raphael chuckled. "You'll see her in a few minutes." Alex glanced at his watch. "They should've been here by now." "They're probably delayed because the bride insisted on making a dramatic entrance," Raphael teased. A faint smile tugged
EMILY GRAYSON'S The convoy glided smoothly along the winding Italian countryside, sunlight filtering through rows of towering cypress trees that lined the narrow road. Beyond them stretched endless vineyards, their emerald leaves dancing gently beneath the warm summer breeze. The church was only thirty minutes away.Inside the limousine, I sat quietly, my heart pounding with anticipation. My fingers traced the ivory satin ribbon wrapped around my bouquet of white roses and lilies. In just a few minutes...I would become Mrs. Emily Antonio.Lexi nudged my shoulder, a teasing smile playing on her lips."You're thinking about Alex again, aren't you?"A shy laugh escaped me."I can't help it."I looked down at my dress, smoothing the delicate lace over my lap."I keep imagining the look on his face when he sees me."Lexi grinned."Oh, he's doomed."I laughed."What?""The moment those church doors open..." she continued dramatically, "...Alexander Antonio is going to forget how to breath
EMILY GRAYSON'S "I love him so much," I whispered almost to myself.Lexi grinned."We know.""Trust me...""Anyone with eyes knows."Together, we slowly walked out of the bridal suite. The Antonio estate had been transformed overnight.Every hallway overflowed with elegant white floral arrangements.Crystal chandeliers sparkled overhead like frozen waterfalls.Soft classical music drifted through hidden speakers, filling the mansion with an almost magical atmosphere.Members of the household staff lined the corridors. Each offered warm smiles and heartfelt congratulations as I passed. Some quietly applauded.Others simply stood in silent admiration.I smiled shyly at each of them.Outside... Luxury vehicles waited beneath the grand entrance of the estate.Their polished black exteriors gleamed beneath the bright Italian sun.Everything was beautiful.Everything was perfect.Everything should have felt perfect.Yet...The instant my foot crossed onto the front porch...A sudden chill c
EMILY GRAYSON'S The final touches took nearly another hour.Every curl was adjusted with painstaking care. Every crystal was checked to ensure it caught the light perfectly. My veil was smoothed, my train carefully arranged, and the last traces of powder were brushed delicately across my skin.No one rushed.Today deserved perfection. One by one, the stylists slowly stepped back, silently admiring the masterpiece they had created. Finally, the head stylist smiled, her eyes shining with satisfaction."Done."The single word settled over the room like a blessing. For a heartbeat, no one spoke.Slowly, I rose from the chair. The cathedral-length train of my gown flowed gracefully across the polished marble floor, whispering softly with every step. Intricate ivory lace shimmered beneath the warm morning sunlight streaming through the tall windows, while thousands of hand-sewn crystals scattered tiny stars of light across the room each time I moved. One of the assistants approached carefu
EMILY GRAYSON'S The knock came close to midnight. Not loud. Not aggressive. Just three slow taps against the apartment door. The entire living room went quiet. The television still played softly in the background, but nobody was paying attention anymore. Lexi looked toward the door first, then Rap
EMILY GRAYSON'S It had been six days. Maybe seven. I wasn’t sure anymore. Time didn’t exist properly in this place. There were no windows, no sunlight, no sunrise or sunset to separate one day from another. Just cold. Endless, suffocating cold. The room itself felt designed to break people slowl
***EMAIL GRAYSON'S***“What?” I asked, narrowing my eyes playfully. “You,” he said simply. “You look like something out of a dream.” I rolled my eyes, but I could feel the warmth creeping into my cheeks.By the time we reached the house, sunlight was pouring through the glass walls, making the ocea
***ALEXANDER***I stepped into his space—close enough that he had to tilt his head to meet my eyes. “You dared to put your hands on my woman,” I said quietly. “And you told her I killed her parents.” I let the words settle before continuing, my voice still level. “For what?” I asked. “
