Chapter Forty-eight

Alice's POV

I couldn't believe it. Just when I thought things were finally settling down, trouble had to rear its ugly head once again.

My men here had been ambushed, and several of them were killed. I had just come back from America last night, and now I was going crazy trying to figure out who was behind this.

I paced back and forth in my office, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on me. I couldn't let this slide. My men were my family, and I had to find out who was responsible for their deaths.

I called in my personal guard, Silver, and told her to prepare a meeting with my men in forty minutes. I needed to get to the situation as soon as possible.

As I sat in my office, pouring over information about the recent attack on my Mafia members in Russia, my phone rang. I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Liam. I took a deep breath and answered the call.
