Dahlia ~
I turned away quickly, silently praying to the Moon Goddess that Kaden wouldn’t connect the dots. He had only seen us for a fleeting moment after our parents brought him home before he was sent off to this school and besides, how rare was it to see two short boys with silver hair? “Let’s move along,” Vincent said his tone clipped, as he picked up his pace as if he had better places to be— he probably did. I didn’t need to be told twice. We reached the dormitories shortly after we passed the break area. The building was enormous, divided into wings for each student class ranked by strength. Vincent led us up a grand spiral staircase to the third floor and down a polished hallway before stopping at a heavy oak door. I did not bother myself with asking why we were at the wing for the strongest students. We were late so there probably wasn’t enough space in the other wings to accommodate us. “These will be your quarters,” he said, pushing the door open to reveal a spacious room with six beds neatly arranged along the walls. Each bed had a small trunk at its foot, and the room was surprisingly warm and inviting, with thick rugs and large windows that let in plenty of sunlight. It had a minimalistic modern bohemian interior design. “You’ll have four roommates,” Vincent informed us. “They should be in class now, so you’ll meet them later.” I let out a small sigh of relief. At least we’d have a moment of peace to adjust and plan before dealing with whoever these boys were. “Your clothes and necessities as well as sanitary material are in the trunks at the foot of your beds. There’s a schedule inside as well. Be punctual to your classes, and remember—any trouble, and you’ll find yourselves out of here faster than you can blink.” Vincent’s gaze lingered on us for a moment before he turned and left. Once the door clicked shut, Sienna immediately began rummaging through her trunk. I sat down on the edge of my new soft bed, taking in the luxurious surroundings. “This place is insane,” Sienna muttered, holding up a pristine white uniform with gold embellishments. “I feel like we’re in a palace.” I nodded absently, my thoughts still on Kaden and the Vicious Boys. What had Vincent meant by their reputation? “I never really considered the fact that we would be sharing a room with a bunch of boys,” I said as I dug into the pockets of my clothes and brought out a bunch of female sanitary items enough to last us for the three months we would be there. “Put those away, fast,” Sienna said as though someone was going to barge into the room at any moment. I arched a confused brow at her. “We need to check for cameras and wiretaps,” she said standing on the bed to check the light switches and bulbs. After I tucked the sanitary items into the bottom part of my trunk, I joined her to check the bathroom and toilets. In the process, I noticed that there were six toilets but only one bathroom with six bath stalls. Fuck! “Isn't this school rich enough to provide each student their own bathrooms for extra privacy?” I wailed. “Maybe they did not consider the fact that two girls could infiltrate their Academy, boys don't care about privacy after all.” “So what's the plan?” I questioned and she rolled her eyes at me. “Ugh, and we have regular Sienna back again,” “Maybe I wouldn't be like this if you weren't so irritating,” she said, “this whole thing was your idea so you shouldn't be asking me about ‘the plan’,” “Don't act like you're not part of the kingdom that was destroyed, we both have to do this together and you know it,” I hesitated for a moment before I said the next part. “We were both there the day Mom and Dad were killed and our kingdom was destroyed, everything we knew gone for reasons we do not still understand —” “That's enough, you do not need to remind me,” “Obviously I have to,” I muttered. She narrowed her eyes and shot me a deadly glare which I ignored. “So the plan… first during our stay in this school we will search for the hidden location of the kingmaker gemstone, with it we will change our appearance and apply for the Luna trials because the prophecy —” “Says that a silver haired woman would be the downfall of the Alpha king and the kingdom of Lunaria and we won't be allowed to contest at all without changing our appearance,” She completed. “Good,” I said with a small teasingly proud smile on my face. “Well, that doesn't seem too difficult,” Sienna remarked sarcastically. “I hope the goddess doesn't have plans to make this more difficult than it should be.” We changed quickly into the sleeping clothes provided— soft, comfortable shirts with loose pants. The bands across my chest were so tight that I could barely breathe. “We will be lucky not to develop any respiratory issues after this whole ordeal,” Sienna just hummed a response, she was already tucked into bed and half asleep. I was just about to collapse onto the bed and wake up the next day when the door slammed open with a bang. The noise startled me, and I whipped my head around to see four tall figures filling the doorway, they were talking so loudly and laughing like wild animals without a single care on the planet. My heart sank to my stomach as the realization smacked me like a boulder. It was them. The Vicious Boys. Fuck no! The platinum haired one spoke first, his icy blue pretty eyes scanning the room with a lazy arrogance. His gaze landed on Sienna and me, and he arched a brow. “Well, well,” he drawled, his voice smooth and light in a way that was so attractive. “Looks like we’ve got some fresh meat roommates.” The one with jet-black hair followed, leaning casually against the doorframe. “You’re in our room?” he asked, his tone laced with amusement. “Aren't you scared?” I couldn’t speak. My mouth was dry, my heart pounding as I tried to think of anything to say. Beside me, Sienna was equally frozen. The red haired boy with the green eyes crossed his arms, with a smile spreading across his pretty lips as he pushed up his glasses with one long finger revealing his veiny hand in the process. “Take it easy on them boys, we need to let them get accustomed to their new environment before we show them who rules the school.” And then Kaden stepped into view with his strong hands folded across his defined chest. Yeah… we were totally fucked.Dahlia ~"Breathe, Dahlia, yes Just like that take deep breaths your majesty." The healer's voice sounded very distant as though it was from a dream. I gritted my teeth and nodded as sweat beaded on my forehead. I dug my fingers into the side of the birthing bed for support.“Breathe—” she was saying. "I am trying to breath for heaven's sake," I snapped, pain mixed with anger crushed my body.Sienna's laugh suddenly echoed from nearby. "Jeez, You will bring down the roof with your screams, sister."How the hell was she laughing during labor? Yes we were in labor the same exact time, how utterly divine. I would've yelled back if I could, but another contraction rolled in for the umpteenth time and I screamed."You're almost there, darling. One more push." Kaden's voice came beside me as his strong habds stroked through my hair slowly. I hated that word. There was obviously nothing "almost" about this kind of pain. My bones were screaming fire and i felt like I was being ripped ope
Sienna ~That morning when one of the messengers had dropped busted into the dining hall, I was about drinking my coffee. At first, I hadn't expected anything serious and perhaps one of the councils disputes or something else."What's this about?" I cleared my throat as soon as I settled the mug of coffee down. He bowed and started, "Your majesty,"I glanced at Orion who sat opposite me and back at the messenger. "What's the news?""The curse has been broken, Your majesty. Alpha Kaden is awake." For a moment, I was unable to breathe. My heart hammered in my chest. If Kaden was healed, then that meant Dahlia... she might be okay too. I wouldn’t be mourning my sister that was still alive and I wouldn’t be alone anymore. Kaden's curse was broken!I turned to Orion, who was already looking at me. Then he gave a small smile. "Go to her," he muttered."There’s more," the messenger added, and stretched out a scroll. I glanced at him curiously before accepting it.My eyes scanned the
Dahlia~I walked to and fro in the chamber, constantly keeping an eye on Kaden's unconscious state and being hopeful he would wake up.It has been few days since Ihad confessed my love for him and when I woke the next morning, Kaden did not, I had been bothered ever since. When Madam Gertrude had called the healers numerous times but they said he would be in such a state for some time and they had no idea of if he was going to wake up or not.And that was what I feared, the way my mind was troubled made me to realize that I did in fact love Kaden, more than I could ever admit, and this was not just due to the mate bond, no, it was something much stronger.I stayed awake as long as I could, I whispered to him and held his hand with the hopes that that day or the next, he would magically wake up and wrap his arms around me and tell me everything was alright. But the longer he remained unconscious, the more such silly hopes vanished. What if he never woke up? What if breaking his curse
Sienna ~The whispers and rumors from the people had started even before I had the chance to tell them myself, it spread like wildfire accross Scarvyn and soon enough, everyone knew had known. At first, I thought there would be ma major outrage or perhaps they would demand to dethrone me. But to my uttermost surprise, my people had done the unthinkable. They had accepted it. Accepted the fact that their queen was in love with a werewolf, and not just any werewolf, Orion, the man I had introduced to them as my body guard.Nothing felt better than the joy I had in my heart at that moment.Last week, most of the rebels that played my rule and opposed me had been wiped out in a tragic fire that consumed their hideout. That much had been confirmed. Some claimed it was an accident, a mere misfortune. Others said it was just karma getting back to them. But those weren't my thoughts. Orion was.The thought sent a shiver down my spine because I knew he could be capable of it.If Orio
Dahlia ~I turned to the side of the bed for the umpteenth time, my body ached in a way that wasn't painful, but just a reminder of what had just happened.Kaden lay beside me with his eyes closed, his face held the calmest expression ever.I leaned closer, close enough to feel his warmth and I suddenly felt the urge to touch him and perhaps tell him how hard I was finding it to get some sleep. As if he'd felt me, his eyes flew opened at once and I shut mine instantly and gripped the duvet tightly to pretend to be asleep. He suddenly stood up and peeled the covers off him before he strode to the bathroom. My eyes parted open and I trailed his movements. Curiosity got the better of me and I stepped out of the bed and followed him.I reached the door and the bathroom was fogged up with steam oozing out out of it but it wasn't hot steam, no this was the type that came from cold.Kaden squatted by the pool as he dipped a hand into the icy water with a blank expression on his face. "Why
Sienna Orion had refused to leave my side ever since he found out I was pregnant. He pactically followed me everywhere I went and his eyes were on me as though he did not want a single mark to mar my skin.It was not like I didn't love having him around to protect me and make me feel so safe, but it was starting to get rather ridiculous. He had followed me into the palace kitchens at midnight, when he was supposed to be asleep, I had tiptoed out of the room just so he wouldn't notice I was gone, only for me to turn and bump right into his chest. His shirt had been buttoned down completely so I collided into his hard muscles."You do realize we've been in this position for a while now, right" I said to him with a small smile playing on my lips, “I'm rather thirsty, baby us thirsty too.”Orion's fingers traced the tiny curve of my stomach so slowly as though he was trying to revel in every moment. “It’s so unreal, Sienna, I’m having a baby with you and I don't know if I've told you t
