Reagan

After washing off the blood and looking at the horrible looking mate mark that looks like a vampire tried to rip my throat out, I put on comfortable clothes that Quinn got for me.

“I want to talk to the man who was standing in front of ...” It doesn’t feel right to say it, but it’s true. “My mate. Do you know who he is?”

I watch my mother’s eyes go unfocused. “Your father says he’s Alpha Kieran’s Gamma.”

Alpha Kieran. I didn’t even know the name of the man who marked me.

“I’m assuming he’s from out west? Is that why he arrived so late?”

“Your brother asked the patrols when they arrived. They said they’d just arrived, indicating that they had been driving for two days,” my mother says.

“What can we do, Reagan?” Malin asks me.

“Whatever you need, we’re here for you,” Quinn adds.

“I’m not really sure what I need. Maybe a drink. But first, I want to talk to the Gamma.”

I look at myself in the mirror, pulling the shirt up so my hideous mate mark doesn’t show. Then I pull my hair over

Gotta love strong female wolves. They are not afraid to put the male in his place.

Is there a way to break a half mated couple? Like could Reagan’s mark disappear with she rejected him? I know he probably would die

Cooper what happens to fated mate when one chooses one??? I mean when they are both over 18, haven’t met so there’s no rejection? Will the other be forever mateless? Will have to take a chosen too? Or will the goddess give another mate? Or if after taken a mate the fated meet will still have a bond?

  • Savage   Chapter 51: Reagan

ReaganThe next week and a half becomes organized chaos. I spent quite a bit of time with the omegas assuring them that while my family is very powerful and have strong auras, they are careful with them and rather than being overwhelming, my family will make them all feel safe and loved. I know this because the omegas in all our packs are all very happy.Silas’ ‘challenge’ was more of a training session than a challenge. Warriors took advantage of the opportunity to get some one-on-one instruction from their future Gamma, asking him to show them specific moves that he has used to defeat them in the past.Once Silas’ position became official, Kieran, Elias and I talked to him about the sprites, explaining what Petal is, introducing him to the sprites in the Enchanted Forest, and explaining our concern about needing to keep eyes on the omegas and Petal in case Nathan, Aaron, or even Olivia try to move against us. Knowing how busy we’re all going to be, I wanted as many eyes as possible

  • Savage   Chapter 50: Kieran

KieranI told Reagan about the silver I found in Olivia's room and showed her the bottle. She wanted to test it, but I didn’t want her getting burned. Samson has already healed me and I know Alayla is strong, but I don’t like my mate getting hurt if she doesn’t have to.When I told her that, she’d just smiled at me like I’d said something sweet and silly. At dinner, I stand to make the announcement about Silas. Rather than excitement, I feel trepidation from the pack. Perhaps they are worried that I’m about to announce another traitor, but hopefully, this will help everyone relax.“First, some bad news. Olivia renounced me and this pack. I assumed that she left because she was the one who was poisoning mine and your Luna’s drinks. She’s lived in this pack her entire life, and would have no where else to go. She was also known to be friends with Camile and Penelope. Therefore, I took Silas with me earlier today and searched her room. We found this,” I say lifting up the flask.“Inside

  • Savage   Chapter 49: Kieran

KieranAfter Reagan went looking for Meadow, I found Silas.“I need your assistance.”“Of course, Alpha.”I lead him to Olivia’s room. “Olivia renounced herself as a pack member. I want to see if we can find anything in her room to implicate her as the person who was putting liquid silver into my drinks and those of Luna Reagan.”“Yes, Alpha.”We enter the room and while we search, I ask him about Nathan and Aaron.“They’re bullies, I would definitely say that. But I’m not sure I’d say that they are manipulative enough to try to kill you, Alpha,” he says.“No, I think Markus was the leader of that idea. But do you think they would have gone along with it?” I ask.He stops searching and looks thoughtful for a moment. “If they were promised something, yes. But what would he have promised them? It would have to be worth risking their lives over. If you or Beta Elias had figured it out ... well, you did and Markus is dead because of his betrayal,” he says.I think about Markus sending Elia

  • Savage   Chapter 48: Reagan

Reagan“What did he do? Did he hurt her? I’ll kill him!” Leana growls on the phone.“No, she’s not hurt. Well, at least I don’t think so. He needed to feed and they did it a couple nights ago, but I guess it wasn’t enough. When we killed someone in our packhouse, he went into a blood haze and he fed on Meadow properly last night and things got more intense and now ... now she’s acting like she’s going to have a fucking orgasm right in front of me just from hearing his voice! If I didn’t know better, I’d say she was a dog in heat!” I say, watching my friend like she might spontaneously combust in front of me.It’s quiet on the other end and I’m just about to make sure that the line didn’t drop when I hear my sister burst into laughter.“What are you laughing about? Leana this is serious! She’s saying she’s ready to mate with him because he made her feel like her soul left her body or some shit, and they didn’t even have sex yet!”All that does is make her laugh harder. I hear a male voi

  • Savage   Chapter 47: Reagan

ReaganThe next morning, Kieran, Elias, Petal, and I meet in Kieran’s office.“Petal, how are you feeling after meeting everyone yesterday?” I ask her.“It was nice. A lot of people asked what I am, since they could tell I’m not a wolf, but I didn’t know what to say. Elias said I’m special. I hope that’s okay,” she says.“It’s perfect. Once we know that you’re safe, we’ll tell the pack and introduce all of them to the sprites,” I tell her. She’s snuggled up against Elias and he seems perfectly happy to have her tucked up against him as we talk.“So, Alpha, did you feel Olivia’s tether to our pack break last night?” Elias asks.Kieran an I had been in the middle of sex when Kieran had gone very still.“What is it?” I asked him.“Olivia’s tether to the pack just broke,” he said.“Broke like she died or ...?”He shook his head. “Like she left the pack.”“So, she was the one who was putting silver in the drinks,” I said.“That’s my guess.”“You know she’s not the only one,” I’d said.“I do

  • Savage   Chapter 46: Kieran

Maybe it’s because I haven’t been in control for far too long, or maybe my life has just taken a hard left turn with a Tokyo drift, but everything feels a bit crazy right now. Pack member betraying me, vampire princes mated to witches and my previous Gamma mated to sprites, a creature I didn't even know existed until a few days ago.Knowing I need to show my pack that I’m still a capable leader, I start with what’s easy, getting the bodies out of the dining hall. Then I turn to my new Beta.“If you’re going to introduce your mate, you’d better do it properly. Take her around and introduce her,” I say, then lean in. “But stay in this form, Petal. We need to keep you safe,” I tell her.She nods and I watch my Beta stare at his mate in awe and wonder. I’m guessing I look at Reagan that way too. I look up to see her on the stairwell going to check on Meadow. When she looks back, checking on me, I wink at her. She smiles and keeps moving upstairs. When she’s out of sight, I turn back.“I wa

  • Savage   Chapter 45: Meadow

MeadowI knew immediately that something was wrong with Asmodeus. We’d been outside talking and everything had been fine, then his eyes had turned red and he was gone. I’d looked around and then seen him standing inside the packhouse door, panting. When I’d walked inside, I realized that Kieran had very violently killed someone and the blood was putting my mate into a blood haze. I thought letting him feed off me would have been enough, but I’d been terrified that he’d drain me, so I didn’t let him drink too much blood.I dragged him up to my room and the moment we’d walked inside he’d pressed me against the door, his nose running up and down my throat. I felt his fangs slide against my skin.“Asmodeus?” I ask, trying hard to remain calm. I know from living with Guardians that vampires respond to fear, it excites them.“I don’t want to hurt you. I haven’t fed enough lately,” I can hear him panting with the effort of controlling himself.“Can you feed on me without losing control?”“I d

  • Savage   Chapter 44: Kieran

I wasn’t sure what Elias was going to say and a very small part of me worried that Reagan might snap his neck if she didn’t like what he said to her, but she’d held up her hand and Samson slammed our mouth shut.‘Trust our mate. She says she trusts Elias. Trust her that she means it,’ he said.Elias’ honesty doesn’t surprise me but hearing a second person say how quickly Samson went feral makes both of us angry. We were being undermined and poisoned, and I’m already confident that I know who it was. When Reagan lays it out so clearly, I realize how foolish I was to trust Markus. The entire pack turns to look at him. Everyone knows he has the most to gain if I'd gone feral. He would have taken over the pack and no one would have questioned it.“I was protecting all of you!” he yells.“Did you do it, Markus? Did you put silver in my drink?” I ask him. Now it’s my turn to stalk him.“No,” he snarls. That is the truth.“What about Reagan’s? Did you put silver in her drink?” I ask him.“I d

  • Savage   Chapter 43: Reagan

ReaganI’m pleasantly surprised at how the pack responded to the news that I accepted Kieran. It means many of them not only accepted me but they are happy that he is whole again. I wouldn’t have accepted him if I hadn’t believed that he was a good man, worthy of the Guardian gifts that he’ll receive from being mated to me. But hearing the happiness from the pack reinforces that I made the right decision.“I cannot BELIEVE you didn’t tell me!” Meadow says, coming over to pull me in a hug. Since her scent has a strong cold, stinging scent to it, I pull back and look at her.“Something you want to share?” I ask her.“I’m not marked,” she says, showing me her neck.“But you shared your blood, didn’t you?” I ask her.“How did you ...” she begins, but I tap my nose.“Don’t insult me. You know I’m a Guardian,” I tell her.“Fine. I told him I wasn’t ready for him to mark me yet, but ... that he could taste my blood,” she says.“It was the most delicate, delicious, intoxicating taste that has
