I have been so out of myself the past few days, wondering if I made the right decision to marry him. I think it would be better to let my parents go to jail than to tie the knot with the attorney. He can choke you through his gaze!

I carefully put down the paintbrush on the highstand table and stared lovingly at the wedding bonds that I had just finished. It was a sparkling gold that kept captivating my eyes. I wrote my name on the other one while I am still undecided about what name should be written on the other one. I planned on writing Andres, but I know that can't be.

I sighed as I approached the window. There, I found Andres again pulling grass. Even if I am only seeing his back, I know he looks so muscular with his muscle tee. I felt bad for him. How can he manage to settle for being a gardener if he can always find a high-paying job?

Hays, Andres. Can't you be just the Attorney?

I leant my head against the window and stared deeply at him. But my eyes widened when he looked at me and waved his hand. I felt my heart getting out of its cage when a genuine smile left his lips. But my fantasies were interrupted when Yaya Nenita entered my room.

"Ma'am Sage, Attorney will arrive later."

"Pardon? Has a week already passed?"

I I clenched my teeth. It seems like only yesterday that that sinful man came here, and now he's coming again.

Yaya Nenita nodded slowly and smiled unsurely, "Yes, Ma'am. He asked me to ask you as to where you would like to sign the marriage contract. You can choose between a coffee shop, a restaurant, a condo, a hotel, or a motel—"

"Yaya! Stop! Why do the places get wild as you go on with the choices?"

She blinked and scratched her hair, which was in a ponytail.

"Those came from Attorney Carancho, Ma'am. And he wanted me to say to you..."

She cleared her throat and tried her best to copy the voice of the man.

"...Savvy, don't forget to wear dark red lipstick. I want a wedding picture with you," she finished.

I almost closed my eyes tightly with the irritation. We only agreed to sign the contract and not to take pictures!

This time, it was the onewho cleared my throat and tried my best to calm down, "I consider the coffee shop. Please, tell him that."

"Noted, Ma'am Sage. Please, prepare yourself for later." She turned her back and went out of the room.

I slapped myself quietly and didn't want to believe that this was really happening in my life. I removed my apron with irritation before I marched out of the room.

My heart was tightening with hatred, but when I reached the garden, all of my sentiments were blown away by the wind when I saw Andres.

I bit my lip as I stared at his muscular arm. Why does he look so young and yummy even if he's one year older than me?

I took my time gazing at him, and mostly at his small dimple that was very visible every time he smiled.

I walked closer and didn't mind the heat of the sun that was hurting my skin. I stopped immediately in front of him.

"Andres," I called his attention.

He abruptly stopped cutting the grass. He shakes his hand to remove the dirt before standing and facing me.

"Is there a problem, Miss Sage?"

He scratched his brow and completely put his hand above his brows to protect his eyes from the sunlight.

I was stunned and stared more at his manly face. Though he has tanned skin, he still looks like an Adonis, but Attorney Carancho looked more like a mythical God. Yummy, terrifying when angry and looks like someone who can choke you in—

My eyes suddenly widened with what I thought. Why am I praising that ruthless lawyer?! He doesn't deserve any!

I cleared my throat again for nth time, and tried to focus to my agenda.

"Uhm. If possible, is there a chance that you'll agree to the other man, Andres?"

A shock was written on his face as his lips parted.

"What? I don't get it, Miss Sage. Are you asking me to be the other man?" he asked with confusion.

I looked away and laughed awkwardly.

"I'm just kidding, Andres. Don't take it seriously, but if you agree, why not?"

I looked back at him, and maybe he didn't really understand what I was saying when his forehead knotted.

"Uhm. You can go back to work now. Just forget what I said."

I felt my cheeks heat up because of embarrassment. I turned my back immediately and walked quickly to the mansion and ran to my room.

I jumped on the bed and rolled over a lot with what happened, and now my nervousness about seeing Attorney Carancho was added to the fuel.

I stood and removed the cloth from his painting. I glared at it since the man in the painting itself was glaring at me. I have decided that after I sign the marriage contract, I will go straight to Zambales. I don't know what life is waiting for me there, but I don't care anymore for as long as I can escape.

With that thought, I found my motivation to dress up. Yaya Nenita was even in awe after seeing me in that white puffed sleeved square neck dress and golden stilettos. I curled my hair and wore a thin white-gold chain necklace. Suddenly, I felt gloomy as I stared at the painting of white roses.

Sorry for me that I won't be able to hold them as I walk down the aisle. I even dreamt of letting Yaya Nenita catch those after the wedding, wishing her to have a love life.

I sighed and just covered the painting with another white cloth, as well as the wedding gown and wedding band paintings.

I held my sling bag tightly as I went downstairs and looked for my parents, but they were nowhere to be found. I thought they were already in the parking space, but they weren't there either.

"Miss Sage, your parents are at the office, having an important meeting. However, Attorney Santiago will accompany you," Andres informed me.

My shoulder suddenly slumped with that. My chest was tightening and I couldn't accept that the people I wanted to save were the ones who could not attend my so-called wedding. I blinked back my tears and wore my fake smile when I realized that Andres was staring at me.

"Andres, don't you want to come with me?"

"Pardon? Err, Miss Sage, I'm shy. My clothes doesn't look good, and your future husband might get mad if he saw you with a man." Then, he scratched his nape.

"There's nothing wrong with your clothes, and there's nothing wrong if that attorney gets mad. That is even better for him to back out of this wedding," I whispered.

"What, Miss Sage? You want Attorney Delton to get mad at you?"

I automatically pursed my lips and just took a glance at him. But when my eyes caught the entrace of the Montero spory of Attorney Santiago, the rats on my chest became alive again.

"Huh? I didn't say anything like that, Andres. Don't mind me, bye!"

I was tempted to pat his shoulder, but I stopped myself from doing so. Attorney Santigao might put meaning to it and might say it to Delton, so I ended up fisting my hands and walked towards the car.

"Ma'am Sage, Attorney Delton is already at the coffee shop," he informed as I entered the car.

Delton Carancho"Are you sure about this, Son?" That was the question I remember from Attorney Santiago.I nodded my head as I looked at the picture of the only Princess of the Valencia family. I pursed my lips after remembering what her parents had done to mine, and so I wanted revenge."We can fake the marriage, Son," he suggested."No, Dad. Make it real. I'm only going to get married once, and let her marry me," I uttered with determination while staring at the woman. She captivates me. And that I can visibly see that she needs saving. Her lips were curved into a smile, but her eyes told otherwise. She looked sad even though she was smiling at the camera."If that's what you want. I'll warn you, she's a spoiled brat, doesn't know any household chores. Even in business, she doesn't know anything and she only does painting," he explained, to which I just nodded.Whatever it is, I can endure everything. But I didn't know that my patience would be put at risk because of her. She is sav

My tears fell after his lips landed on my forehead. He kissed me several times there and even kissed my tears away."I am already happy to have you, but I am now the happiest man alive, Savvy," he whispered with all his heart. That made my heart happy again. He planted a kiss on my lips before hugging me tightly."I thought you were mad," I admitted weakly."What? No, Savvy. "I really want to have a family with you," he said, moving away a bit and quickly wiping my tears.I smiled a little, especially when he put our hands together and led me out of the bathroom. After leaving, he helped me sit on the swivel chair before immediately taking out his cellphone and calling someone."Dad, I'm going to be a father," he reported with a smile on his face."Congratulations, son. You deserve every happiness in the world. Send my congratulations to Sage," said Attorney Santiago from the other line, so I nodded. They talked for a while, and I thought he would only call Attorney Santiago, but not

"Won't you ask about Ashley's performance?" I teased.Ashley has been working with me for a few weeks now, and she's doing okay. I was just teasing Delton because I knew he was not in favor of what I did. From his laptop, he looked at me. His eyes are still serious."Your performance is much better than anyone else's," he teased, then smiled knowingly. My cheeks automatically turned red as I leaned against his desk. When he laughed softly after seeing the reddening of my cheeks, I was devastated. I immediately bent down and put my mouth on his ear."In bed or in the office?" I teased. He stopped and immediately stared at me. He bit his lip a little, and when he was about to pull my neck, I immediately straightened up."Focus, Mr. CEO." I grinned and walked away from his desk and moved to my desk.I acted as his secretary while he didn't have a secretary yet, but he also did all the work and I could only help with scheduling. I also want to tell you about my pregnancy, but I don't know

"Miss Sage, I'm—"I raised my hand to stop her."Please leave, Miss Ashley. I'm done with you," I responded coldly before turning away, but she immediately grabbed my elbow.A shiver settled in my chest and my eyes almost widened. I don't know what she plans, so I'm nervous. If earlier I thought she might be pregnant, now she might hurt me."Miss Sage," she called again with a cry.I closed my eyes tightly. Despite my nervousness, I felt pity for her. I want to listen, but I'm afraid."Shut up, Miss Ashley. Not now," I begged calmly, but her grip tightened on my elbow and pulled me a little further, causing my eyes to open.I want to scream, but I don't want to make a scene. I just looked around. They were all busy and didn't seem to notice me."Miss Sage, just a few minutes," she repeated. My gaze automatically flew to Delton. But he is in the group of entrepreneurs."Let me go, Ashley. I don't want to fight you right now," I begged again."Miss Sage, I just want to apologize for eve

I can even beat the lottery winner with happiness. It was my dream to have an art exhibit, but here it is, and an art gallery was provided by Delton. My heart was so happy and I almost couldn't stop painting again to increase my paintings in the exhibit itself. Daddy is strongly against this passion of mine, but I think they will be happy now that I am happy. My excitement is overflowing. I can't believe that I am living my dream. It's different when your dream comes true, it's like you're on a cloud. And if I wasn't pregnant, I would stay up every day just to finish many paintings."Done, Baby," I whispered softly after signing the last painting.I caressed my flat stomach and smiled as I looked at my finished painting of Delton's house—it was Delton's and my house."Soon you'll grow up here, Baby," I murmured."It's look alive, Savvy."I was slightly stunned by that and quickly turned to Delton. He was already behind me and staring at my last painting. I even estimated if he had hea

"You made me cry, Delton," I accused him, especially since my tears didn't want to stop during the trip.I don't even know how many times I hit him every time he laughs. He was very happy with my reaction."Savvy, I didn't mean to make you cry. Where is my tiger wife? —Aw! Savvy, it hurts," he complained after my palm hit his arm again."Throw a joke again and you'll sleep outside the room!"He immediately stopped the car on the side and sighed. He handed me bottled water while he himself wiped my tears with a tissue."Shh, Savvy. Please calm down. Don't cry too much. You might be dehydrated later when you get to the mansion," he said, frowning.I rolled my eyes at him, and drank the water. I also don't understand myself for being so emotional. Is it really like this when pregnant?I took several deep breaths until I calmed down. When he saw that I was calm, he immediately started the car."Are we going to sleep there?" I asked weakly as I leaned back in the chair."If you want to," h

Maybe I made the right decision to reduce my anger and listen. I feel better anyway. But I still can't fully accept Delton, especially since I remember the loss of Mommy.I sighed and immediately unbuckled the seatbelt after he parked the car in the parking lot."Are you alright, Savvy?" he immediately asked as I turned around."I'm good, Delton. Just don't piss me off again," I answered simply. He laughed softly before getting down and immediately opening the door for me. I was about to go out, but Delton didn't let go of the door."Why? Is there something wrong?" I asked, confused after seeing the nervousness in his eyes."Nothing, Savvy," he replied, holding my hand. "I hope you won't be angry that I'm in charge of the company," he said carefully.I raised an eyebrow and assessed myself to see if I was angry, but I couldn't be angry."Why? I thought it was yours at first?""Yes, Baby. But I don't want to invalidate your feelings—""It's totally fine, Delton. Don't mind me. Thank yo

"So I'm the exception?" I asked again the next day.He placed the plate of ham and bacon on the table before reaching down the table and holding it with both hands. He hissed a little and seemed to hide the smile that wanted to escape from his lips."You are the victim—"I raised an eyebrow causing him to stop, "Your victim, Delton. You captured—""Savvy, I told you, you are not part of the plan." He moaned softly, as if he was fed up with our conversation like this.I laughed weakly and bit my lip a little, "Ashley and you are planning this, right? Is your secretary an accomplice?" I continue."Damn, Baby," he softly moaned again, "Ashley was out of it—""So you're defending her?" I asked with a raised eyebrow before folding my arms in front of him.He cursed again and closed his eyes tightly. Stand up straight and face me. He gently touched both of my shoulders."She's just like a sister to me. I don't know everything Ashley did, and I'm not sure if she likes me. If only I knew—""I

I gasped after he let go of the kiss. I seemed to be taken out of breath and almost fainted by what he did."Please, Savvy. You can hate me, you can curse me, but please, don't unlove me," he pleaded softly as he buried his face in my neck."There's no need for that because I never loved you, Delton—"But I didn't even finish my lie when his two arms wrapped around my body and gave me a sensual kiss on my neck."Delton, what the hell!" I tried to stay away from him, but he only became more and more passionate."Will you please stop?" I was so shocked by my scream that he stopped."Am I hurting you?" It was a soft question. His breath barely touched my sensitive neck.I pursed my lips and didn't know what to answer. I was not hurt by his kisses."Savvy, I feel so low right now. I feel like you're just going to leave me alone. That you're going to ask to break up—""Shh, Delton. I'm not that stupid." I blinked even though he couldn't see, "I still need you," pretending to be my reason.
