CHAPTER 6.2

I stepped backward and immediately hid my hands behind my back. If I am going to wear the ring, that only means I have agreed to let others know that I am married.

I cleared my throat and arched my brow.

"You cannot outsmart me, Attorney. You just want others to know that we are married—"

"Exactly, Mrs. Carancho. No one wants their property to be roaming around without a proper label, Savvy. And I don't intend to share what's mine."

I was shocked a little by what he said, yet I could not stop my heart from celebrating a little either. Especially when our eyes met and saw his without any humour.

I cleared my throat again while he, on the other hand, smirked and showed me the peach box.

"Take it or leave it, Savvy. Wear the ring, then you'll be able to paint again."

He opened the box, and that made my eyes widen again. What I am seeing is the same ring I painted the last time. A simple white gold band, shining like the way I painted it.

"Uhm, can I touch it?"
