26. "The Deal"

Harriet’s Point of View

As soon as I woke up, I immediately realized that I was still stuck in the hotel.

"Oh no, I really need to get back home!" I exclaimed, jumping out of bed. However, my excitement was quickly interrupted when I noticed Lucas stepping out of the bathroom.

"Oh, you're already up," he remarked, wearing a bathrobe after finishing his bath.

I couldn't help but admire his well-defined muscles, which I had the pleasure of touching before.

"Your gaze has such an effect on me," he confessed.

Blushing, I quickly averted my eyes, reminding myself that I had important tasks to attend to.

"It's morning," I reminded him. "I really need to head back home."

"WE'RE HEADING BACK HOME," Lucas declared, emphasizing our shared goal.

The bed trembled.

When I turned my head, I spotted him seated beside me.

"But you have to eat first," he insisted.

"Eat? Didn't I already eat last night?"

"Yesterday and today are different days." Lucas grabbed the phone and dialed room service.
